It was awful when I was student teaching last semester.
I was crying for the teacher when I left, since she would be all on her own dealing with grammar atrocities on a daily basis from idiotic freshman.

The teacher (who is an old teacher of mine and now my friend) couldn't do so, so I did for her.

One is a wannabe diva. She has a nice voice, but can't be in an ensemble because she doesn't blend.
One is annoying and won't shut up. She butts into conversation when we are clearly not talking to her.

Especially freshmen.
Actually, I was threatening freshmen for being stupid freshmen when I actually WAS still a freshmen.
Everybody thought I was just a short senior.
Apparently I have an attitude.
Also, I scare people easily when I dress goth.
Actually, I didn't dress goth/punk when I was teaching.
I guess my angry glare and death stare are indeed as intimidating as I thought they were.

The man who lived in this house was named John Hogan, or old man Hogie, the nickname my neighborhood friends and I gave him. Hogie was only “senior citizen” that I knew of that lived on my road, the rest of the houses that surrounded my own had growing families, many of the kids my own age. Mr. Hogan was a reserved, retired airline pilot, who lived by himself and kept to his own business, which often included keeping up his pristine property, cutting the grass every week, and consistently trimming hedges and trees. For my neighborhood group of friends, Hogie absolutely terrified us, he was the quintessential old man who seemed to never left his house, the man who you would see peering though his window right at you, if you dared to look into the windows of the large brown house.
