"I'll take that as a 'yes'." he replies, hiding a slight smirk by taking a sip of his drink. This sort of thing happened every year. The rest of them just expected it by now. The dedication and effort James put into getting Lily to notice and interact with him was rather admirable though, even if it didn't produce the desired results.

"She also didn't like the hearts and birdsong. What's wrong with her, Remus? ALL girls like hearts and birdsong!" He sighed and poked at his food.

Remus looks at James, who is poking dejectedly at his food. "Well, I'm no expert on girls, but I'll bet there has to be some out there who aren't all that into hearts and birdsong. Maybe trying something else would help? Try a poem or something."

[It's for my apush class. We're having a themed debate tomorrow where everyone gets a character from history and we talk about an issue from that point in time. We get extra credit if we dress up. Mostly I'm using the helmet to illustrate that all that war and stuff is in my past, as I am now a Quaker (William Penn)]

James looked up at Remus, hopefully. "Do you know any poetry? Isn't there some Shakespeare sonnet or whatever? My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun... yadda yadda yadda?"

Oh does Remus know poetry. He knows lots of poetry. Why, he even copies it, quite the madman in Sirius' point of view, I'd expect. Haha, oh the SBP references. "I've read tons of poetry, James. I'm sure we can find something for you, if that sounds like something you'd like to try. Yeats' is always good."

"YEAST? Remus, I know you've read more poetry than I, but somehow I don't think anything written by yeast will do the job. Although it does help when making pizza dough. Are trying to make a metaphor about how wooing women is like making pizza dough? Because I don't get it."

"Oh..." James looked confused. "What was he, the discoverer of pizza dough? Did he write good poetry?" Hopeful. "Was it about pizza dough?" Less hopeful.

I'm afraid Remus might have left, so James sits and composes love poems about pizza dough.

Parvati walks into the Great Hall and sits at the Gryffindor table where somebody else should walk in so she is not just a loner.

Amethyst had to go walk the dog...
Remus finds James' pizza poetry rather amusing but doesn't think Lily will like it that much. Though at least the last one doesn't sound that offensive...

Remus leaves to go to the library because I'd have him stay to talk to Parvati, but Remus doesn't just choose to talk to girls. He doesn't really know how to handle the situation so it just ends up being awkward.

AJ wanders back into the Great Hall; she hadn't seen many people she knew yet, so thought she'd go for a walk. She spots another girl sitting at the Gyrffie table, so takes a seat across from her. She smiles. "Hi, you okay? I'm Angelina, by the way."

[Parvati Patil]

Parvati looks up at the girl as she sits across the table from her. "Me? Yeah I'm good. Just daydreaming." She said with a small smile. "I'm Parvati! I'm a sixth year. What year are you?"

[Angelina Johnson]

"I'm a sixth year too! Cool, a fellow classmate, hopefully. You just looked a little lost, is all." She shrugs slightly. "Who are your dormmates? We seem to be all mixed up this year... Otherwise I would have thought we'd be sharing a dorm!"

[Parvati Patil]

"Oh, I'm with Lavender, Demelza, and Romilda." She says with a small smile. "It seems as though we've gotten a lot of transfers this year." She said with a shrug. "That's probably the reason for the dorms being all switched around.

[Angelina Johnson]

"Good point. We do seem to have a lot of people I don't recognise this year, that much is true. I don't think I've met any of your roomie's yet; perhaps I should at some point. I hope they're nice, though. I'm with Angela, Hermione, Katie and Fleur. It's going to be a fun year, I think." She nods, affirming that fact.

[Parvati Patil]

"Hmm, I don't think I have met any of yours either, but I'm sure they are nice. Almost everyone at Hogwarts seems to be soo nice." She says grinning, because she likes to grin apparently. "Yeah, I'm excited for the year!" She said with a grin. "I don't know why, it's just that, sixth year seems like it will be fun." She says nodding.

[Angelina Johnson]

"Yeah, we get a little bit of relaxation before NEWTS, hopefully. Although if I get back in the Quidditch team, I doubt it. Oliver is already preparing new plays and everything, and the team hasn't been decided yet!" She looks warmly at Parvati. "Do you play?"

[Parvati Patil]

"Yeah, relaxing is always nice." She says with a nod, because she personally loves relaxing and doing nothing. She shook her head when she asked if she played. "No, I don't play Quidditch. I do enjoy going to the games though. Especially for Harry." She says with a grin. "Man is that boy fine."

[Angelina Johnson]

AJ shakes her head. She always seems to end up with the boy-obsessed girls. "I suppose..." She says hesitantingly. "I've never really thought about it. I'm not really into boys, as it were."

[Parvati Patil]

She stares at her for about a minute. How could someone not love boys, boys with dicks. She blinked a few times. "Hmmm, Really? I love boys...A lot." She says with a grin.

AJ watches her stare. She'd really get along with Reya, that's for sure, she thinks. "Oh really, do you?" She grinned. "I couldn't tell. Well, I suppose Quidditch and schoolwork take up both a lot of my time and a lot of my mental space." She shrugs.

[Romilda Vane]

"I do enjoy going to the games though. Especially for Harry." She says with a grin. "Man is that boy fine."
