Re: The Astronomy Tower

Jenna climbed up the many, many steps to the Astronomy Tower as to do her homework. Which was something about the alignments of Saturn, Mars and Neptune and their affect on individuals based on their Zodiac. Fun. Jenna, who was a Pisces [like me! What a coincidence!] was none too thrilled since Pisces' normally didn't get very good luck in these kinds of things. Which totally sucked. She was hoping for a positive forecast, but began at the beginning, with Aries, like a good little Jenna.

Kras was also on the way up to work on Astronomy homework. Wasn't his best class but at least it was interesting. To his delight he spotted Jenna and quickly headed over to join her. "Hey! Long time no see." He dropped his stuff to the tower floor and stretched. The walk up to the tower from the Hufflepuff common room was a long one and he always enjoyed the exercise. "Vot are you up to? Homevork?" He was rather happy because he hadn't seen Jenna in aaaages.

[YAY! I heard you were having some technical issues. YAY FOR OVERCOMING!]
Jenna jumped a little bit when all of a sudden she heard a voice behind her, but when she saw that that voice was Kras, she jumped up and bear hugged him which worked out not so well because he was a lot bigger than Jenna. "KRAS! It's been forever! How are you? How've you been? Yeah, it's homework. Stupid Saturn!"

Kras laughed as Jenna tried to give him a bear hug. Of course he hugged her back tightly...but not too tightly. He didn't want to crush her with his muscle-y arms of awesomeness. Haha. I'm weird. Anyway. "I'm doing vell! I have fun stuff to tell you and you better tell me all that's been going on vith you lately because ve haven't talked in ages! I've missed you!" He went to grab his own homework, figuring they could work on their stuff while talking together. "Vy's Saturn being stupid?" he asked curiously.

"It's been predicting the same future for every Zodiac sign, I don't think that's okay." Jenna frowned. She didn't like it when things didn't go her way, especially when she was so worn down with homework.

"Huh..." Kras set his stuff down and took a look at Jenna's stuff, "that's veird. Vould you like my help? I bet all this vork is stressing you out. Especially cause you have to study for O.W.L.s too right now too. I know all the studying and extra vork is bugging Reed a lot."

Jenna grinned, "The extra help would definately be welcome, I'm normally really good at Astronomy but Saturn just seems to hate me." Jenna shrugged, the planets would behave as they would. She was just glad that the planets could be moody when she had a friend around to listen to her kvetch about it.

Kras figured it wouldn't be hard to do his own work and help Jenna with hers, after all, he was generally a pretty good teacher. "If it makes you feel any better I alvays seem to have trouble ven it comes to Venus." he shrugged. "I guess that von just hates me too." he chuckled, picking his own stuff up so it wasn't just lying on the ground anymore. "So lets just see vot ve can do here. I can help you and do my own stuff, so that'll be fine." They'd probably get side tracked a few times, but ah well. They hadn't seen each other in ages and Kras still interested in what Jenna had been up to.

Jenna grinned and moved her book bag over so that Kras could sit down next to her. "Here, all of the other planets are making sense but Saturn is just being stubborn, no matter what I do, it won't seem to cooperate. And if I fail another assignment, Sinistra will owl my mum and then I'm in huge trouble." She took out a fresh sheet of paper and got started on Neptune. Neptune always worked easily with her. It was her favorite planet (besides Earth of course).

"Uh oh!" Kras shook his head, sitting down next to Jenna. "Ve don't vant you getting into huge trouble." He looked over her work and tried to figure everything out. Astronomy was not his best subject, but he generally was able to get the work done - after all, his grades were extremely good and he planned on keeping them that way. Especially since he had had top notch grades back at Durmstrang where the workload was generally several times harder than the workload here at Hogwarts. "Hmm..." he frowned after a little bit, "vot the heck? I can't seem to figure this out. I think you're right, Saturn just doesn't like to cooperate vith you." He wasn't going to give up that easily.

Jenna sighed, on the verge of deciding to just give up on the whole assignment. She would do it, but she would just make up all of the Saturn stuff. Make it grim enough and she would be just fine. "You are a very good friend for getting mad at Saturn on my behalf, that's normally my job, and then I rant about it to whoever listens." Kras listened, and Jenna was grateful for it.
