Re: The Rocks by the Lake
I think Sirius is the freaky exception to that threat.
Pansy nodded and listened to him, closing her astronomy book but leaving her finger inside to mark the page she was on. "Sounds really different from here. Personally I'm not sure I could be happy anywhere else either. Even though there's a lot of inter-house hatred going on, it makes the houses pretty close as far as friendships within them go, and who's to say you can't have inter-house friendships as well! Er, not that I have any in particular yet. Until today meeting you I suppose!" She gestured toward the Gryffindor colors he was wearing. Generally she wouldn't have given him the time of day if she'd paid attention to that first, but luckily they'd started talking before she noticed it, and it had really paid off. He was a nice guy, and she found that she sort of enjoyed his company. Hm. Odd.

Re: The Rocks by the Lake
Viktor is glad he didn't notice Pansy's robes either. He didn't normally judge people on their houses, but out of the three Slytherins he had met so far, only one of them was actually likable so that could have very possibly effected his initial reaction to any future Slytherin meetings. "I don't blame you. This school is amazing. I doubt I'd be able to go to any other school after being here. And I've noticed how close all the houses are. I actually don't have too many friends in my own house though. Probably because I tend to spend most of my time out on the grounds rather than up in the common room. But it is interesting to see how different the people of each house are. Except those Puffs. I'm still trying to figure out vots so special about them," he said, chuckling slightly. Seriously, all the Ravenclaws were so studious. The Gryffindors were all brave and rather cocky to be honest. The Slytherins were the cunning, yet also cocky, ones. All the Hufflepuffs were just..."It's almost like they're the spare house. Everyvon who didn't fit in a specific house got put into Hufflepuff. Not that they're bad or anything. They're just...They don't have that unique trait of their own like all the other houses seem to have."

"Well, they roast up particularly well. Maybe you'll have to come to a Puff roast one day, they make excellent s'mores. they're good at finding things. I suppose they'd be useful if you lost something and couldn't relocate it. But you're right, they're the spares. I don't know what's so great about them as a house, really. What trait do they prize? Cunning Slytherin, Brave Gryffindor, Studious Ravenclaw, and then, I mean... what the HELL is a Hufflepuff?" Pansy really had no clue.
Re: The Rocks by the Lake
"Oh, right. I heard that they vere good at finding things." Hm, guess that explains why Cedric did so well during the Tri-Wizard tournament. He found Cho Chang in the lake. He found the Tri-Wizard cup. He found a date to the Yule Ball. It all makes sense now. Too bad he couldn't find a way out of the graveyard. "But really, even the name...Hufflepuff. And I'm glad I didn't get sorted into that house because on top of everything average about them, I'd probably look terrible in yellow."

Re: The Rocks by the Lake
"Yeah, not sure that much of anyone looks good in yellow. Except that Luna girl, she looks positively lovely in yellow. Pfft. Hufflepuff. Makes me think of some kind of muggle childrens story, though I'm not sure why. I was never told those as a child, you see. Tales of Beadle the Bard were what I grew up on. Did they tell those back where you grew up?" She hope that didn't sound dense, she just wasn't sure if fairy tales tended to change from region to region. It made sense, perhaps, that Beadle the Bard wasn't quite global, but more of an England and Hogwarts sort of fairy tale collection.
Re: The Rocks by the Lake
OH, DO I? *pose*
"Oh, I've heard those stories. My parents read them to me ven I vos younger," he says with a grin, excited to see that they grew up listening to the same fairy tales. "I never heard any muggle stories either, now that I think of it. I'm a pureblood as vell, so I grew up not knowing much about the muggle vorld. It's kind of interesting to meet people vith muggle parents here. It's kind of surprising how differently they do a lot of things vithout having magic to help them out."

Re: The Rocks by the Lake
YOU DO YOU DO!
"It really is. Quite amazing in a strange sort of way I suppose. Personally I wouldn't trade growing up a pureblood for much of anything, though there is quite a bit of pressure as the only daughter of purebloods, but that's a long rant I don't care to bore you with." She laughed softly. "Hey, you play quidditch, don't you?" She was relatively sure she'd seen him down on the pitch before, on the couple of times she'd gone there to find Draco back toward the beginning of the year.

[Scorp would like to say...that this is mind-boggling. He approves though. He whole-heartedly approves of this friendship]

Pansy would like you to know that this is strictly 2.0.
She still hates his guts in 1.0/AU.

She's quite stubborn though. Especially when she's more preggers, which is when he'll be coming. Pansy's mommy instincts will probably be like that of an ice age grizzly bear mother while she's getting the big belly and figuring out a house and all that nonsense.
Re: The Rocks by the Lake
GRRR.
WELL.
This won't be good.
AND IF YOU KEEP UP THIS HATRED, THEN VIKTOR ISN'T EVEN GOING TO COME!
Scorpius is sniffing and missing his best friend.

FINE.
I'LL BE FRIENDLESS.
VOTEVER.
Actually...Scorpius will be making a friend by the name of Al sometime real soon. Mhmmmmmmmmmm.
That'll probably take less convincing or...certain events to transpire.
I JS.

Re: The Rocks by the Lake
Well I never said he couldn't come, I just suggest that Scorpius be able to have Pansy within arms reach at all times. Just in case. *nods*
Oh. Al. He sounds like a nice friend. You'll have to introduce us, love. Yep.

Viktor's face lit up at the mention of Quidditch. As much as he loved people treating him like a normal guy and not like a celebrity, it was still nice whenever the sport came up in conversation. Even though he hadn't been playing as much as he used to now that he was at Hogwarts, he was still obsessed because he's Viktor Krum. What else would you expect? "I do! Seeker," he said with a big grin. "Do you play at all?"

Re: The Rocks by the Lake
Pansy laughed. "Oh, well, only when Draco makes me. Sometimes over the summer I guess he gets tired of playing alone, so I get bribed to play as well. I'm not very good, but I suppose it's better what me than no one. Seeker, huh? Very cool. I hear you're apparently quite good?" She'd heard a few people down by the pitch talking about a certain Viktor who was very good at the game, and though Pansy didn't particularly follow quidditch, she still found it very interesting.
Re: The Rocks by the Lake
Viktor grinned at the compliment. "You could say that," he said, not wanting to sound too cocky. "I play for the Bulgarian team so I must have some talent out on the pitch," he explains motioning to his team jacket that I've just decided he's wearing at the moment. "I've just alvays loved Quidditch, so I'm glad that I've been able to make a career out of it. For now, at least." Viktor loves Quidditch, but he's smart enough to know he can't just be a seeker forever.

Re: The Rocks by the Lake
"Don't be shy, I hear you're awesome enough to brag a little bit. I think my friend Scorpius mentioned you once. But that's really cool that you've got a career doing what you love. Not everyone is that lucky in life, so that's quite something." Pansy nodded, wishing there was some kind of job she could have where she just ran around and dueled people for the fun of it. Perhaps someone should direct her to Bellatrix, who could certainly help hook her up with such a job. Oh and I'm guessing Dom will be happy, because Scorp has finally been brought into the conversation and they can bond over their love of Scorpius. They both adore him. And they've both kissed him. They've got so much in common already.
Re: The Rocks by the Lake
[Scorpius is pleased. HE WAS A LITTLE CONCERNED AS TO THE FACT THAT HE WAS NOT BEING BROUGHT INTO CONVERSATION. Such a fucking attention whore.]

Re: The Rocks by the Lake
Viktor chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, I guess I'm better than good," he said with a light laugh. "Oh, hey! I know Scorpius!" Viktor was just overjoyed now. They're talking about Scorpius Malfoy. The Scorpius Malfoy. This is the best part of Viktor's day. He's honestly been waiting for this moment so he could talk about Scorpius. Okay, not really. But he is happy to see that they have a mutual friend. "He's mentioned you a few times as vell now that I think of it. He's a pretty awesome guy. He ended up giving me my tattoo not too long ago, after I told him that he should go into the business. He's pretty talented ven it comes to that sort of thing."
