Mumbai, India

Re: Mumbai, India
After getting off the plane, Padma hopped on an auto-rickshaw and took it to her parents' house. "Mum, Dad!" she exclaimed, running to hug them. She visits with them for a bit before going to bed. Yes, this is India. No, there is no real reason for her to be here except for the fact that I'm going to be gone for a really long time.

Re: Mumbai, India
Padma walked into the kitchen of her house, where her grandmother was cooking dosas.
"How are you?" she asks in Tamil.
"Fine," Padma responded, shrugging indifferently.
"You don't sound fine," her grandmother responds. "Is it your boyfriend?"
Padma sighed. "I haven't heard from him. Not surprised, really... I've been thinking for a while that he doesn't like me anymore and is just scared of my reaction."
Her grandmother nods. "Dump him," she advised. "A girl's heart is always right."
"Thanks, Paatti," Padma responded. "I will. Besides," she added, "there's this really cute guy in Ravenclaw..."
Paatti laughs. "Go for it," she said.

Re: Mumbai, India
A few days before she has to leave, Padma walks into the library, where she finds her mother. Quickly, she keeps her mother up to date with what Paatti had said. Rather than being happy, however, her mother shook her head.
"Your grandmother can be a bit drastic sometimes," her mother says.
"I know," Padma responds, "but I can't help but feel like what she said was true."
"If you want to, look around for someone else," her mother concedes, "but it might come to me telling you 'I told you so'."
Padma shrugs uncomfortably. "I guess... I'll think about it." She awkwardly gets up and walks away to get some more packing done. She would certainly miss India, but Hogwarts was a pretty awesome place too. I would know - I was just there.

Padma packs her bags, carts them out, and leaves India. She's back at Hogwarts. The end.
