Me too! I love Captain Jack!
Shoot him and cut out his tongue, then shoot his tongue! And trim that scraggly beard!
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean
Why.. why would he do that? It's because he's a lummox, isn't he? Well we shall have a magnificent garden party and you're not invited! Hmm!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! World's End is my favorite one! Mostly because Will has the coolest costume in the 3rd movie. *giggles*

Heh. Wanna hear about obsessed? My friends and I stayed up until 12:30 a few nights ago and watched the first movie instead of doing homework...how awful is that?! *laughs*

I'm watching these movies again today.
I still know every single line. EVERY ONE, I AM NOT EXAGGERATING OR LYING. I AM NOT.
Is that sad?

Do not recommend the fourth one to you guys. Not at all.
I will not be seeing it again, and I wish they didn't make it.
Seriously.
Though I'll admit the mermaids were cool.

...
Well I didn't think it was awful.
I went into it with the mindset that it was a completely separate movie.
However, I will say that I despised Barbossa for 95% of it, he made me want to vomit and cry all at once.
And I did like Angelica but I greatly wanted to slap her and call her an idiot on several occasions.
The mermaid/missionary thing was random, but sort of cute at some parts, so I didn't mind it.
I don't know.
It was just weird for me.
I wanted to like it. And parts of it I did like, but parts of it I hated.
I can't really decide how I feel about it.
I didn't find myself missing Elizabeth or Will at all really, but idk.
It was weird.

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean
I didn't miss them much either. I think they had way too many subplots, and they didn't focus on actually developing any of them because there were so many. And I thought the mermaid/missionary thing was pretty cute at times too.
Barbossa used to be one of my favorites. I couldn't stand him in this movie. :\
I know it wasn't a sequel, but meh...It didn't live up to the others at all with the funny lines and awesome story lines and action scenes.

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean
It wasn't as quotable as the others and the Spainards were just there randomly to screw up things, and then Barbossa just pissed me off, and that's exactly it, there were like 9283792384298374 sub plots and none of them really got very completed. Maybe I'm stupid but what the hell happened to the mermaid and the missionary?
- Spoiler:
- I know she drug him down into the water, but did she go all carnivore on him? I thought she was "different"? Maybe I forgot about a scene with them after that but... idk. That's stupid if she turned out like all the others after he did all that for her.
- Spoiler:
- I don't know how I feel about the Jack/Angelica romance thing. At times I liked it, at times I missed the Jack that flirted and ran off to flirt with someone else. And then the whole I love you thing and I was glad that they separated in that kind of weird way rather than him staying or taking her with him or something, idk.
But I also wanted to hit her several times for being so stupid and fighting for her father when he would so so so readily just kill her for his own gain.
And the cup switching thing - saw that coming a mile away.

- Spoiler:
- My friend and I were so freaking confused! Like, she's different...he's different. but then she kills him? But I don't think she did. I'd like to think they somehow stayed together, because remember when one pirate said a kiss from a mermaid will save a man from drowning? And she kissed him right before pulling him under so...maybe that's how he lived? But honestly, I was looking for the blood in the water as soon as she pulled him under, just like with the first guy who got killed, because that part threw me off. <.< IDK. IT WAS CONFUSING AND I WISH THEY SHOWED WHAT HAPPENED.

Same. Here. Like, I love the idea of Jack not falling in love ever, so I was a bit thrown off, though if he was going to fall in love it would be with someone like her. But I liked that he ditched her on the island. ThatissoJacklol.
I SAW THAT TOO. It was so obvious. I had no idea how Blackbeard didn't see it. It's Captain Jack Sparrow. If he tells you something is in one cup, it's obviously not in there. XD
AND YEAH, SHE COULD BE SO STUPID. He didn't know which guns were loaded. How did she buy that story?

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean
- Spoiler:
There were so many little things that were there when convenient but forgotten about later. Like what was that symbol Blackbeard carved in Jack's chest? It was there, and never mentioned again. What was the purpose of Barbossa having a wooden leg? Okay so maybe it showed that he was desperate to beat Blackbeard and not die but there was no reason to give him a peg leg. The Spaniards were so random, just to have a third competitor rather than Jack's group and Barbossa's group. Just there to destroy the whole place as soon as they actually needed the fountain to save Angelica. And of course she cut her hand. Sure girl, grab the blade when you pull it out of daddy's chest. Dumb move. And the frogs thing? Alright, cool whatever, but still. Random. Why would Barbossa - who is a fantastic swordsman in his own right - need a poision sword except for someone wanting to play with little froggies?? Just... so many random things that were just... tossed in for the hell of it when they were convenient.
AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO SELENA AND WHATSHISFACE D:
I don't think she ate him. MAYBE SHE TURNED HIM INTO A ~MERMAN~
Who knows.
Angelica was stupid when it came to her daddy.
I don't think I ship her and Jack though... idk.
I think I just want them as this whole playful thing where they had something before and they technically could again, but they won't just because of how Jack is. I was glad he left her on the island just because it wouldn't be all OH JACK HAS A GIRLFRIEND <3
Nahhhhhhh.

I'M PRETTY SURE PHILIP AND THE MERMAID THING WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SUBPLOTS
SO RANDOM
BUT I LIKED IT

Re: Pirates of the Caribbean
I LIKED IT!
I went into it viewing it as completely separate, like Pans did. I didn't expect much to be the same besides Jack.
Um as for the Serena and Philip:
This movie, overall, left me with a lot of questions. :/ And I'm not sure if I'm ready for a fifth.

Um as for the Serena and Philip:
- Spoiler:
- When they first went hunting for the mermaid, remember they were talking about mermaid lore? And the one pirate said that he had heard if you kiss a mermaid, you could never drown...and she kissed him, before she pulled him under. A for the Philip/Serena subplot, I really liked it and it DID seem like a perfect way to get her tear...it made me wonder if the prophetic guy that Blackbeard had knew that the missionary could be used, and that's why they kept him. Also, didn't the missionary come from a ship-wreck that only he survived? Maybe Serena saved him, which would be a good reaon as to why it was HER that pushed him out of the way of the wreckage at the lighthouse. Interesting enough though, when he asked her why she was different I distinctly remember him saying 'pulled me' instead of pushed, which wouldn't have worked with the lighthouse explosion. It really makes me wonder if there was some scenes about the two of them they cut out for the theatrical version, and they jut gave us the bare minimum.
Also, I didn't quite like how the Fountain looked so Grecco/Roman. I don't remember where the Fountain of Youth even originated from, so until I read about it I can't really complain. As for Blackbeard, I do remember hearing he was into voodoo but not all the stuff that he could do, like trap ships into bottles and control his with his sword and have zombie crew members, which ALSO irked me because if they were truly zombified (according to the African belief) they wouldn't have any free will or anything...so did he bring them back from the dead or...?

I liked it, but I also disliked it.
I'm in the middle.
Some things I loved, some things I hated.
But I don't know how I feel about them making more, unless they answer a HELL of a lot of questions in a fifth that they left hanging wide open in the fourth.
Re: Pirates of the Caribbean
Me too.
Johnny Depp, according to the quote off Tumblr, isn't looking forward to one so soon. Apparently it's already been story boarded!! D:

I don't know if I'll buy it. Most Likely not.
If I get it, it would probably be as a gift from someone who knows I'm obsessed with the other three. It'll be stuck on the shelf with the others, but I probably won't watch it hardly ever *shrug*
I'll stick to watching the other three obsessively and knowing the scripts word for word *nods*
