Re: The Burrow
Arthur Weasley entered the Burrow after a long day of work. He took off his cloak and sat it on one of the kitchen chairs. Sitting down at the table, he pulled out a Muggle car magazine and began to read.

Re: The Burrow
Charlie, working very hard at sleeping upstairs, knew his Papa was home. The door closed, the location clock changed Arthur's location, and several of Mummy's enchanted pots and pans sighed in exasperation that the "weird one" was home. But this was all good news to Charlie. He loved his Papa very much, and had not seen him in a long while. Charlie bounded down the stairs and greeted Arthur with a grand hug and a pat on the back. "What held you up at work today Pop?"

Momma you're always abandoning me. I'm gonna grow up to be a stripper if you keep this up.

I hear they make good money. You just follow your dreams, baby, don't let anyone hold you back.

Re: The Burrow
"Nothing much. Just a few misplaced shrinking keys, that's all. Why are you up?" Arthur asked. He wondered why his son was still up. "Did you remember the lotions for your burns?" Arthur looked at the several scars on his son's face and arms.
And if you go with the stripper thing, a bit of fatherly advice - remember to use protection.

I'll only let death-defying herpes hold my back. And it'll just be from tucking
Re: The Burrow
Charlie had actually forgotten about his face-length burn running from his right eye to the bottom left of his chin. Those damn Ukranian Ironbellies, they'll be the death of me Charlie thought to himself. Not wanting to worry his dear old dad, he quickly said "Yeah Pop, of course I remembered them. Would you excuse me for a moment? I have to use the john."
Re: The Burrow
"Of course," Arthur replied. "Don't get stuck in there." Arthur couldn't help but worry about his children, all of them. No matter how old they got, he still managed to think of the little three-year-olds running around the yard, playing with their toy broomsticks.

Re: The Burrow
"Don't worry Pop, I had a date yesterday. I won't get stuck in there" he said as he jokingly nudged Arthur's rib with his elbow. But he quickly ran upstairs to apply the dragon-burn ointment Arthur had mentioned. After applying it liberally, he ran back downstairs to join Arthur at the table. Charlie walked over to the kitchen counter and conjured up some fantastic turkish coffee, and sat down next to Arthur with the chair reversed in the cheesy way that anti-drug speakers sit on chairs at your high school when they come to convince you not to go to the dark side of the weed. "So Pop, have you discovered anything new about muggles recently? I seem to remember you being fascinated with them and their culture the last time I was home" Charlie said sarcastically. Of course Arthur was into muggle culture, but Charlie just wanted to talk to his old man.
Re: The Burrow
"Charlie, how long have you known your father?" Arthur said. "Actually, I've been learning a little more about the mechanics of footieball. You see, I found a friend who loves the sport and has agreed to teach me more about it. They play the game on the ground and move the bal with their feet - they can't even use their hands. And they only have one big goal. It's very interesting."

Re: The Burrow
"Of course," Arthur replied. Ouf of all his children, Charlie was probably the one who was most fascinated by Muggle things. "They have eleven people on the field at a time. They have some players like Keepers - the goalbies. They're the one who score the goals. I guess the rest are kind of like Chasers; they try to kick the football into the goals. They don't have Bludgers though, but sometimes a player can accidentally get hit in the head by one of the footballs. And sometimes they deliberately try to hit the ball with the top of their head! It's exciting. We should really go to a football match sometime. How are dragons doing?"

Re: The Burrow
"Sure Dad! I'd love to go to a football match with you!" Charlie excitedly replied to his father. "And the dragons. Ugh. I love them more than women, but they get on my NERVES."
Re: The Burrow
"What are the dragons doing to you?" Arthur asked sympathetically. He could imagine what dealing with dragons on a daily basis - after all, the temper of Molly Weasley had been compared many times to the wrath of an angry dragon. But at least Molly didn't breathe fire when she was upset, and there was only one of her.

Re: The Burrow
"The dragons... touch me inappropriately." Charlie said to his father. Of course this was a joke, but he wanted to joke around with his dad. How will he react? is all that was floating through Charlie Weasley's head at the moment.
