I am seriously afraid of escalators. My roommate laughs at me when we go the mall and I have to get on one...because I always freeze up and pause.

It's always so embarrassing.

You have to step on them...and they move.
Going up isn't that bad (until you are near the top)...going down though, omg. I hate it.
I take stairs if there is that option.
