The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy wandered into the greenhouses, looking for her favorite person ever. She finally spotted him and snuck up behind him, quickly putting her hands on his shoulders and leaning up to put her mouth by his ear. "Neville," she whispered, "what's your favorite kind of flower?"

I just saw this now.
Ohmygod.

Neville was in the greenhouses caring for some plants when he heard a voice come from behind him. He grinned widely and turned around. "Pansy is my favorite flower, baby," He told her.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
lol I don't even know what I'm doing.
WHATEVER, WE'LL ROLL WITH IT LIKE THE BAMFS WE ARE.
Pansy grinned up at him, taking a step closer so their bodies touched. She leaned up, touching the tip of her nose to his and whispering with her lips an inch from his "Good answer." In an instant she slipped away, walking down the aisle between plants and disappearing around a corner so they could play hide and seek or something awesome.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
YES BECAUSE WE ARE BAMFTASTIC.
Neville gasped as she got so close to him, he really wasn't expecting to feel her nose on his and it was a bit surprising to feel that contact all of a sudden. He let a grin slip onto his face as she slipped down the aisle and turned around a corner and followed the direction that she had gone in, turning the same corner she had and grinning. "I found you," He said with a chuckle, failing to mention that he totally cheated by not counting to thirty first.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
"You cheater," she laughed, shaking her head. She put a hand on his chest and pushed him backward. "No, no." With another playful smile, she hurried around another corner, ducking under a few low-hanging plants and smacking off some kind of creepy tentacles from a plant she passed. She crouched down, listening for him.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Neville shrugged and let a small grin slip onto his lips as she called him a cheater. He turned around when she pushed him backwards, turning and placing his face in his hands as he leaned against the wall and started counting. He counted to thirty in his head before stepping away from the wall. "Ready or not here I come," He said as he began to walk around the greenhouse looking for her. "Give me a hint?" He said, almost saying it as a question.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy held her breath, trying to listen to where he was walking so that she would know when to be extra quiet. When he asked for a hint, she quickly answered "No way!" before realizing that saying no way gave him a hint as to her location because she spoke. But it was too late to take it back and so she figured she ought to try and move to somewhere different. She started creeping back toward where she came from, listening carefully all the while to keep tabs on where that sexy badass Neville was looking for her. She batted the tentacle things out of the way again as she moved, stepping on one to keep it from wrapping around her ankle.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Neville grinned widely as he heard her voice, well good thing she told him she wasn't giving him a hint, because just by saying she wouldn't was a hint in itself really. He creeped slowly over to where he heard her voice, walking down the aisle before spotting her between all the vines hanging down from plants. "Hey I see you!" he said as he ran over to her. "I found you! I found you! I found you!" he said with a wide smile as he moved the vines out of the way and stepped towards her. "Thanks for the hint," He said with a dorky grin.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy mock pouted and stood as he ran toward her, swatting him lightly on the shoulder in a feigned annoyance. "No fair. I'd say you tricked me, but I never fall for tricks. You just get my head all befuddled and I forget common sense. I entirely blame you." She put her arms around his middle slightly, smiling up at him. "I suppose I lost. It's a shame, really." Pansy glanced down as another of the tentacle vines attempted to wrap itself around her leg. She tried to kick it off, but it had circled a few times by now and was gaining a firm grip. "What are these damn things anyway?" She asked Neville calmly as she still tried without avail to remove it from herself.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Neville grinned and just stood there as she wrapped her arms around him, he was never very good with physical contact, though with Pansy he was a lot more comfortable with it and he gently wrapped his arms around her loosely, still feeling a little awkward but still more comfortable the with most people. "Well I take the blame them for making you give me hints," he said with a small grin. He looked down at her foot as she asked what the vines are. "Oh those are only the best plants in the world, super nice too," He said as he took his arms from around her and leaned down, gently grabbing the vine and stoking it. He watched as it's grip loosened on her and he took it off of her leg gently before grabbing her hand and leading her away from them. "They're really nice if you don't like pester them."

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Hahahahahahaha.
Pansy nodded as he explained, always liking when he talked about plants because it made him sound so happy. "Oh, I see." She followed him away from it, giving it a cautious glance behind her to make sure it wasn't going to try and sneak up and grab her leg again. "I sort of stepped on it earlier. I don't think it likes me very much. I'm not as good with them as you are, anyway." She smirked up at him, watching his face. He usually blushed or something if she complimented him like that, and she thought it was cute when he got all embarrassed and shy. It was definitely different from what the people she was usually around did, and was the exact opposite of what Draco would have done. It was funny that she liked running off to find Neville, while everyone in her house was determined to set her up with the platinum haired prince of Slytherin. She preferred his quiet, secretly badass, and gentle nature much more.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Neville couldn't help but let out a light laugh as she said she stepped on. "That definitely would make it angry." he talked about plants as if they were human most of the time and Pansy was one of the few people who didn't make fun of him for it, which was definitely a nice change. Just like she had predicted he flushed when she said he was good with the plants. "I'm not, that good with all of the plants," He said with a small shrug as he walked back to some of the plants, checking a few as he passed to see if they needed anything like water, or a nice little trimming. "I mean, I just like reading about them I guess so that's why I always know what to do when I am in here." He shrugged lightly. He didn't think any of his Herbology talent was natural, of course he learned a lot of the information from the books, but it stuck in his brain much more than it did for anyone else in the school.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
A tiny smile spread across her face as he blushed, and she followed him when he made his way along the plants to check them. Slipping her hand casually into his, she watched as he looked them over, adding a little water to some, pinching off dead blooms on others, whatever they needed. "But you are good with them. You're the best in the whole school." She looked at him almost pleadingly, hoping he'd see that he really was quite good at herbology, even if it was from study and not natural knowledge. She glanced at what they had stopped in front of, and immediately her eyes widened a little and she stepped behind him just a bit. Typically nothing much scared Pansy, but there was something about plants that appeared to be sentient that freaked her out. The idea that a plant could think for itself and act and attack, and that she couldn't have much of a warning of its intentions, well she didn't like it. She felt a little safer with Neville's tall body between herself and the flailing leaves. "What the hell is that one." Her voice was just a little mutter, her thin fingers clutching the back of his shirt.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Neville looked over at her and smiled as she said he was the best in the whole school. "Thanks, Pansy." It really meant a lot to him that she thought so much of him when it came to do with all things Herbology. She definitely gave him a lot of confidence and helped him actually believe that he was pretty good with plants. Professor Sprout had asked him every year since first year to help her out around the Greenhouses in his spare time. She even asked him to help teach classes once he got into his upper years and had some free periods open. He glanced over his shoulder at her as she seemed rather frightened by one of the plants they had stopped at. "Oh, this one?" He asked with a small grin. "This one if harmless. It's a Tacca chantrieri," he told her. "Don't worry it's not going to hurt you. Everyone gets scared of this one because they think it looks like some kind of animal or like bats. It's actually one of my favorite plants though." He wouldn't lie and say that people never got scared of the Tacca chantrieri's in the greenhouse. He saw people walk past them and jump countless amounts of times over the last few years he had spent at Hogwarts.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy pried her eyes away from the writhing plant to look up at Neville, trust in her eyes. "And you're sure it's harmless? I mean, why is it wriggling all around like that?" She was close to him, leaning her body against his back and peering around his shoulder with her cheek resting on his arm. She'd have rested it on his shoulder, except he had grown a good deal over the past year and was too tall for her to do that anymore. "It just looks like it's trying to reach out and grab something," she said, giving it a wary glance once again. She whispered, looking up at him again. "It makes me a little nervous, which is weird for me." Narrowing her eyes, she stepped away a little, returning to her place simply standing at his side. However, her hands remained clinging to his forearm, wrapped around his elbow for the feeling of security that it gave her as she watched the plant move in front of them.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
“I am positive it is harmless,” He said as he turned his head and looked down at her. “It’s not going to do anything, really. Everyone always gets so scared of it but it’s really just a sweet plant. I have never seen it hurt anyone. After all the years I have spent in these very greenhouses.” He furrowed his brows a little when she said it made her nervous. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you nervous because of something,” He said honestly. “You always seem to fearless of everything except for around plants. They really won’t hurt you though. You’ve got nothing to worry about, especially when you’re with me.” He would never let anything hurt her in the greenhouses. Even outside of the Greenhouses he wouldn’t let anything hurt her. He was great dealing with plants, but he was even more amazing with snakes so Pansy really has nothing to worry about when it comes to getting eaten by plants or snakes.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy watched it curiously for a little while longer, before she finally relaxed a little. She let one hand fall back down to her side, but the other remained wrapped around Neville's arm, sliding down to hold onto his hand. "I think it's just plants that make me nervous. They don't have brains, so I guess it just seems odd for them to act so much like things that do have brains. I don't like it. But I know you do, and that you could save me from anything we could find in here." She grinned a little, tilting her head and giving his hand a squeeze. With a slight tug, she started walking down the aisle between plants again, looking at the different ones and hoping to please Neville a little by repeating back to him a few of the interesting facts he had told her about a couple of them that they passed. As they reached the Devil's Snare, she smiled, having been taught by Neville how to deal with the sneaky plant. She held her wand up, casting a faint lumos solem charm, and watching with a small smile as the long vines recoiled away from her.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Neville nodded, it was understandable how that could freak her out a bit. It was pretty weird how they didn’t have brains yet they could do things that made them seem like they did. That was the part that really fascinated him the most he thought. It was just so interesting how they acted as if they were so intelligent when they didn’t even have brains. It was brilliant, absolutely brilliant. As he felt her give his hand a light squeeze he did the same to her, squeezing her hand back gently as he smiled down at her. He followed behind her, curious to see where she was leading him. A grin slipped onto his lips as she started talking about all the plants and giving him facts. “You really are listening when I ramble on and on about all these plants I see,” He teased with a small grin still gracing his lips. “You even remembered the trick for Devil’s Snare,” He said, rather impressed that she remembered all the little things he said to her whenever they were in the greenhouses. “Not going to lie, Pansy. You impress me more and more as the days go on.”

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy smirked up at him, stepping back from the Devil's Snare and tucking her wand away again. "I'm not a stupid Slytherin after all. Besides," she added as she moved closer to him, putting her small feet sort of between his large ones and looking up at him, "I like it when you teach me new things. You get this sort of... confidence about you. It's nice." The corners of her mouth curled up, and she lifted a hand to trail her fingertips along his cheek. "I especially remember that your favorite flower is one who has a mouth and knows how to use it." She means talking, of course, since she is the favorite flower and she has a mouth and uses it. For talking. "They make fun of me for that you know. The name, I mean. Pansy, hanging out in the greenhouses with the herbology nerd. They tell me you only like me because you pretend I'm another of your flowers to take care of." She smiled, as though it did not bother her. It didn't, not really. She liked spending time in here with him regardless of what the rest of her house thought, though she did make sure to get a little more secretive about sneaking out here to see him. They didn't need to know how often it happened.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
“You’re not a stupid anything,” he told her with a small grin. She really wasn’t though. Most Slytherin’s he wasn’t a huge fan of. They were mean to him and he was just kind of annoyed with them and ready to graduate and get away from all of them, except Pansy of course. She would have to be in his life forever. He wouldn’t tolerate anything less. He already was flushing from her compliment and he felt his cheeks heat up as she trailed her soft fingertips along it. He knew that they were probably bright red now but maybe if he didn’t comment on it, she wouldn’t either. A grin spread across his lips as she commented on his favorite flower. “Of course it is,” He replied simply. “Pansy is the most amazing, beautiful flower out there.” Was he talking about her when he said beautiful or the flower? I guess she’ll never know. “Well that’s silly. I don’t hang out with you because I like to pretend you’re another flower I like to take care of.” He looked down at her with a very serious expression. “I hang out with you because you share a name with one of my favorite flowers. Don’t they all know what?” He was joking of course and he made it quite obvious as a wide grin spread across his lips after he spoke. “I’m kidding. I’m kidding.”

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy noted the pink rising in his cheeks, the way that his face warmed at her compliment and her touch, and she was glad that she was still able to do that to him despite the fact that she did it several times every time they hung out together. It was cute, but she knew better than to mention it. "Aww. I'll just go ahead and assume you're talking about me, because I like the sound of that." She blinked up at him, listening intently as his face turned serious, and laughing when it turned out to be a joke. "You jerk!" She shook her head, shoving his chest playfully before stepping backward and whirling around, hurrying away from him through the aisles. She ducked under some hanging plants and made her way to a back corner of the greenhouse, somewhere they had found a few weeks ago. Of course, she felt like they found it a few weeks ago. Neville had probably already known it was there, since he was in here so often and seemed to already know all the secrets that the greenhouses held. All the same, it was rather exciting as they happened across the little secluded area, blocked off by several large tree-like bushes and some hanging plants, surrounded on the inside by blooming violet flowers. There was even a wooden bench in there, perfect for sitting and spending some time. She ducked in, plopped down on the bench, and sat there grinning at the little entrance as she waited for Neville to catch up.
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Neville grinned widely as she said she was going to assume he was talking about her. “Well yeah of course I am. You are much prettier than the actual flower Pansies,” He told her honestly. He would just much rather look at Pansy the human than Pansy the flowers. She talked a lot more to him too, which was definitely a plus to things. He fell back a few steps when she shoved him. “Hey! That’s not fair!” He said, unamused that she shoved him and then took off, that was like giving herself a head start. He regained his balance before charging forward after her. After only a few moments he had a feeling he knew where she was headed and ran a little faster. A good thing about the long legs he had grown over the past few years was that he was able to run a lot quicker because of his longer strides. He still didn’t quite catch up to her though, instead showing up at their little secret hideaway a few moments after her. He crawled through the bushes and plants that made their area more secluded and popped his head in and grinned at her. “You got a head start. It wasn’t a fair race,” He said with a small smile as he stepped forward and sat down on the bench next to her.

Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
Pansy grinned as he joined her on the bench, shrugging happily. "Well, you made me talk when I was hiding earlier, so we'll say that we're even now." She nudged her shoulder into him with a laugh. She fell quiet for a few moments, just looking around at the flowers in here, amazed by how many of them there were. She partly wondered if Neville had been coming in here and making it look even better than it had before. Maybe he had been giving it extra water and care so that their hideaway was even more awesome. She wouldn't be terribly surprised. He was considerate and thoughtful like that, another thing she liked about him. None of the Slytherins ever did things like that. She reached over and plucked one of the flowers from its stem, holding it up to look at it and taking a little sniff. She smiled and held it up to Neville before deciding to stick it behind his ear. A smile spread wide across her face and she laughed. "Beautiful."
Re: The Greenhouse Effect of Love
“Alright, alright.” He figured it was a pretty big deal because he won in hide and seek and winning in hide and seek was a much better accomplishment than winning in a little baby race which is what she won. So obviously it just proves that he is way more BAMF than she is. Neville tried to keep himself from grimacing as she plucked a flower from it’s stem. He knew she didn’t mean to just murder the flower like that but it still hurt his heart a little bit to just watch her kill that poor flower like that and to just take it’s life away. A smile spread across his face as she said it was beautiful. “Mhm, all flowers are beautiful.” He nodded and leaned over towards her more, speaking a bit quietly. “Especially Pansies.”
