Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Molly's mouth is open to gush about how wonderful Honeydukes is, but then Arthur's next words catch her slightly by surprise and she freezes like that for a few long seconds. She blushes just a little bit, too, because while it's not the first time a boy has uttered the 'L' word in her presence, it is definitely the most natural and sincere. In the past, there have been boys who would say anything in an attempt to get a little further with her, and those boys always seemed to end up with a broken nose courtesy of one Prewett fist or another, which Molly would shrug off and move on. "Me too." That 'me too' goes for all of what Arthur says. "It sounds like a perfect day! Honeydukes, a little walk in the fresh air, maybe some lunch after..."

Arthur looks up from his lap, where he has been contemplating his idiocy. He blushes even more vividly and smiles brightly. "Yeah, it would be wonderful. I'd love to," he says. He's happy that the l-word doesn't seem to scare Molly away. He tries to think of something else to say, but his brain can't fathom anything that seems adequate. He settles for gently grabbing Molly's hand.

"Great. It's a date. Oh, that rhymes," Molly giggles, smiling down at her hand in Arthur's. With her free hand, she finishes her juice and then checks her schedule. There is a short while left before her first class of the day: Herbology. It reminds her of something, and she hopes that she and Arthur have at least a few classes together. "Let's compare timetables - what have you got coming up next?"

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
"I have a free period next, but after that I have Charms," Arthur says, squinting a little to look at his timetable. He pulls his glasses out of his pocket, reluctantly putting them on. As much as he hates to admit it, his vision has worsened over the past year and his glasses are becoming more of a necessity. "Then this afternoon is Ancient Runes." He pushes his glasses further up his nose, for they are beginning to slip down it.

Molly smiles; she thinks Arthur in glasses is actually quite gorgeous even though she knows he does not love them. "Oh well, we will have Charms together today, then. Arithmancy this afternoon for me, though. Ugh. This whole Healer thing totally better be worth it, you know?" She pouts the tiniest bit, she'd really rather have more classes with Arthur, but she supposes it can't be helped.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Arthur feels very flattered that Molly likes his glasses; maybe he'll starting wearing them often. "Being a Healer sounds amazing though. I know you'll be a great one," Arthur says. "Working for the Muggle Liason Office isn't half as exciting, but it seems right for me. Though I'd take a position in any Ministry department that involved working with Muggles."

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Molly flushes. Healing, taking care of people, it's one of the few ways she has ever truly excelled and Arthur's recognition of it means a lot to her. "I think most wizards would be hopeless at even trying to work with Muggles, but you would be brilliant," she says simply. Sure, Muggle-borns and half-bloods have a better chance of understanding Muggle culture, but Arthur has a love of it that few magical people could match and Molly thinks it would make a world of difference.

Aw. Now Arthur feels flattered. "Thanks. I'm looking forward to that someday," Arthur says, as though getting a job is in the distant future, not less than a year away. "I did end up interning with the Ministry for a few weeks. Didn't work out as well as I liked. My boss thought I thought too highly of Muggles; I should think they're imcompetent idiots according this guy. I can't believe he worked in the Muggle Liason Office."

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
"That is, like, the stupidest thing ever," Molly declares. She is offended on Arthur's behalf because she cannot understand why anyone wouldn't love to have him working in their Muggle Liaison Office. "Why would you want to work in the M.L.O. if you're not going to respect the people you're meant to work with? I don't even understand why he would bother. Well, one day, you will go back there and you'll be able to show them how it's done," she nods, as if she too thinks the real world is so very far away.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Arthur smiles nervously. "I hope so. I'd like to get a good position at the Ministry, but I doubt I have the right connections for that. It's always about who you know and not whether you're good at the job," Arthur says, sighing in frustration. "My dad's been working there for years, since he got out of Hogwarts, and Magical Creatures hasn't given him a promotion in years. And Billy couldn't even get in, though that might have to do with the fact he wore rainbow-colored robes the day of his interview."

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Lily smiles to think of Billy wearing rainbow-coloured robes, which would suit him very well, but there is a sad tinge to her smile to think he's been judged on that basis. She really likes Arthur's brothers and it makes her flush a little to think Arthur's family has it so very different from her own - somehow it makes her guilty because she seems to have it all, and her parents never get held back. Sure, they work hard and long hours and all their success seems to have come at the expense of watching their kids grow up, but they have never had to worry about what it's like on the other side of that invisible line. She flushes a little. "Well, I think that's horrible." Secretly, she plans to write her father a letter asking him what can be done about making sure people get a fair go. Oblivious as she is, though, even Molly doesn't hold much hope for the response. "I suppose Muggle-borns don't even get an interview most of the time..."

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
"It depends on the head of the department, I suppose. There are some who are really good and others who aren't," Arthur says. His father was a blood traitor who married a Black and got her disowned from the family, so promotions were as unlikely for him as a Muggleborn. "The good thing is that Dad's job gives him a lot of time off, especially during the summer when all the interns are at the Ministry. So we could always do fun trips into London after he finished a half day of work or something. We've gone to all the different museums and stuff; we even saw a few movies, though they were very expensive."

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Molly nods her understanding - it's always the way, she supposes, that some people are more tolerant than others. She looks up as Arthur describes the benefits of his Dad's position, smiling because that actually sounds really great to Molly. There is even a little flicker of envy somewhere deep in her. "That's really great, did you know? Like, if my Dad got a day off somehow he'd just spend it in his office at home anyway, 'catching up on paperwork' or whatever he does that's so important. Before I was old enough to go places by myself, all those fun trips and stuff that families do on holidays or whatever just didn't really happen unless Gid took us. I like going to movies, too!" she chirps. She doesn't think much of the money, but Mya agrees with Arthur - movies are kind of a rip-off these days, especially if you had a big family to accommodate....

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Arthur is shocked that Molly's dad wouldn't want to spend his days off with his children; it doesn't make sense in his head. He's always been very lucky, for his parents always spent lots of time with him and his brothers. "I'm sorry," he says, feeling bad for Molly and her siblings. "Family holidays are the best; I like the idea of doing them some day with my family. Whenever I have a family, which hopefully won't be for a while," he adds. He imagines going on holiday with Molly; it's quite lovely and it makes Arthur feels all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

-Molly, since Mya is ninja-RP from work >.>-
Molly shrugs it off. "No big. We do go on family holidays and things - just usually with the four of us. We like to spend some time at the place in Nice, but then also Gid likes the apartment in London a lot so sometimes I hang there with him as well. I like family holidays..." she smiles, because she imagines going on holiday with Arthur would be fun. "One day I'll take my own family on the best holidays ever!" There is a lot of conviction in her voice; although she doesn't really want that to be anytime soon for obvious reasons, she will always make sure that she and Arth-- her husband, when she gets married, take holidays with their children.

Arthur grins brightly. The idea of marrying Molly doesn't seem odd; it seems quite nice, though he'd never say it out loud. What if Molly didn't feel the same way? And he hasn't even told her he loves her yet, even though he does; he's too afraid of getting hurt. "You'd be a great mother someday," Arthur says, not sure why he's saying it. He immediately blushes vividly and puts his hand on his forehead. He could be quite thick at times.

"That's me," Molly giggles, waving away Arthur's embarrassment. When he doesn't immediately respond, she pulls his hand away from his face, grinning. "Why are you blushing? It's no big deal, promise - everyone says it. Sometimes they even call me 'Mama Bear'," she laughs. She actually quite likes it, to be honest. What could be better than everyone knowing how amazing you are at taking care of people?

"I know," Arthur says. "I wasn't sure that good mother was a good compliment for your beautiful girlfriend." Arthur knows that Molly's future children would be as amazing and beautiful as their mother. "Well, I prefer to call you..." Arthur says, pausing for a moment. To be honest, he doesn't really have any good pet names for Molly. He tends to just call her Molly.

Molly smiles, not really thinking in terms of the awkwardness of a couple of teenagers sizing each other up as candidates to breed. "Sure it is, you always say nice things to me," she chirps. She pauses when Arthur breaks off, tilting her head to the side and fiddling with the ends of her hair. "Call me what?" she wonders, curious. She doesn't think he's called her anything but her name, and now she is wondering if he has a secret name in his head, or that he refers to her as in front of other people...

It is very awkward, but then Arthur is a very awkward man. "Well, I call you Molly-," Arthur says, stopping himself before he finishes his sentence. He does a nickname that he occasionally refers to Molly as in his head. It all started with the special type of dream that teenage boys are often plagued with, and ended with Arthur waking up saying the nickname. But it's a little embarassing and he doesn't think Mollywobbles Molly would like it. "Do you want a nickname?" Arthur asks.

Adorably awkward, indeed. Molly's head remains tilted to the side, and now her nose scrunches as well. "I kind of don't like nicknames," she confesses sheepishly. "And I hate it when anybody calls me 'Mol' most of all, except for Gideon." She looks around to make sure there's nobody in earshot, and then looks back to Arthur. Curiosity has overtaken her and she can't help but want to know what her nickname is in his head. "Why? What were you thinking?" she whispers.

Arthur sits there, vaguely mortified. He looks around to make sure that no one, like his nosy little brother Ron, was listening; luckily, he's busy eating and flirting with pretty girls. "Mollywobbles," he whispers, barely audible above the noise of the Great Hall. His face turns bright red as he nervously begins to adjust his glasses, sliding them up and down his nose.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Molly stays silent for ten long seconds, which feels more like ten minutes for Molly. She tries to bite her tongue -poor Arthur looks so mortified that it fees mean to laugh- but she can't help it. She squeaks, a little giggle escaping her, and with that her control is broken. Within moments, she is laughing uncontrollably. "I'm sorry," she gasps, waving her hands at herself as if that will somehow help her calm down. "I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't l-laugh," she says through the last of her giggles. She wipes her face and uses all the self-control she never knew she possesses to return to a whisper, even though she can't quite keep the amusement out of her voice. "That's kind of cute. As long as it stays, like, just between us you know, I'm cool with it," she decides. Somehow Arthur has managed to escape her 'no nicknames' rule, which is so stern that two thirds of her own siblings don't even escape it.

Arthur is shocked that Molly actually his name; he was certain she would think it was stupid. He begins to laugh nervously, relieved that he didn't manage to screw things up. "I'm glad you like it," Arthur says sheepishly. He then realizes that Molly, someone who hates nicknames, let him give her one. This causes him to beam brightly. "Mollywobbles," he adds in a whisper as he gently squeezes her hand.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Molly giggles and squeezes Arthur's hand back. Around them, people are getting up to go to their classes and she pouts. "Ugh, I have to go to Herbology. As if I don't know how to take care of plants," she mumbles, half to herself, because she was growing a healthy crop of Gillyweed for years. The habit has lapsed, though; half the fun was when she and Gideon would eat Special Cookies and go on wacky adventures about the castle, trying (and often failing) to appear straight-laced whenever they bumped into Professors and Prefects and without Gideon around to share the fun, it all just seems like a bit of a waste to Molly. Pulling herself back to the present, she smiles at Arthur and kisses his cheek. "Save me a seat in Charms?"
