Fleur waves at Adrian, who she has never met in person. She figured now would be a good time as any, since Adrian always seemed to be somewhere hidden, doing things Fleur never felt the need to ask about.

I know you're angry with me. I just wanted to apologise for lying to you, it was a pretty stupid thing to do. See Lily and James were in the common room and I was trying to figure out a way to leave to give them some privacy, then you came down and I thought I'd take you with me but then I couldn't think of a way to not make it sound obvious that I was trying to leave them alone and I panicked and said the first thing that came to mind.

*comes up for air and then keeps going*
