"Really?" he asks a bit surprised. "That's great news! She was really upset this afternoon, I wonder what changed her mind and caused her to write the letter."

Faye shrugged, "I don't know if she's ever going to want to lighten up around you...." Her smile faded into a frown, "She wants to keep our friendship because we're close and we've always been that way, but - you two - your relationship is different."

"I know," he mumbles looking away from her. "I really fucked up that one. Hopefully, one day, she won't hate me with a passion. Just hate me." He sits for a moment then thinks to his conversation with Teddy. "What's going on with you and Reg?" he asks her curiously. He realizes this question may have come out of the blue, what his curiosity took over and sense of caring.

"What do you mean?" Faye arched a brow at him, thoroughly confused. Where would he come up with an idea that something was happening between her and Reg? "Nothing? We talked a couple times in the dungeons once, since it's where I smoke and all. Teddy was there a couple times. Why?"

"I was hanging out with Teddy for a bit today, and he says that you and Reg seem to hang in the dungeons. He said you guys have a "love-hate relationship"," he explains. "I thought the two of you didn't get along."

"Oh, well, I know it seems odd that we were hanging out after what I told you," Faye sighed and bit her lip, "He seemed upset a couple times and we talked. I can't share too much, because I don't want to lose what little trust he has in me. The - well - whatever type of acquaintance-ship we have is better than him teasing me."

"I just wish you told me that before I talked to him the other day," he says. "I suppose I ought to apologize to him now for being such an arse."

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that you were going to talk to him..." She looked down at her lap and brushed a strand of her hair from her face, "It wasn't like I told you to go talk to him about it. If I had known you had wanted to do that, I probably would have told you."

"I didn't mean to," he admits. "I was going to ignore it like you said to, but it sort of all came out. I told him to lay off and to not call you 'mudblood'. He got all pissy with me and ended up leaving in one of his huffs. I haven't talked to him since."

"Oh, well. I'm glad that you stood up for me," She smiled faintly, feeling a little guilty, "I'm sure you two can fix everything. If that's what you want."

"I'm not sure," he mutters. "I think it depends on his views on muggleborns. What he has said is not okay with me," he says glancing at her.

"Cut him a little slack. He hasn't been giving me trouble lately and I'm the official mudblood of Slytherin," Faye laughed.

"I'll cut him some slack," he agrees, "but don't call yourself that. I'm sure there had to be another muggleborn to have gone through Slytherin after all these years."

"I highly doubt it," Faye looked down at the floor and ran a hand through her hair, "I call myself what I am. It's not like people don't call me that behind my back."

"I honestly don't think people care what's right anymore," Faye shrugged and looked over at him. Her vision was impaired from the fatigue that was wearing down on her. She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, "I'm off to bed. Want to walk me to the stairs or should I just leave you on the couch?"

"I'll walk you, I'm going to head to bed myself," he says. He stands up and holds his hands out to gently pull her to her feet. "I just have a question though. We never really discussed it, but can I call you my girlfriend?" He realizes that the question seems almost ridiculous after he says it, but wants to determine where they exactly stand.

Faye smiled and took his hand, lifting herself off the couch. Her fingers laced with his and she tilted her head, "Alright..." she said, not knowing what to expect of his question. She gave a sigh of relief and took his other hand into hers, pulling him towards her. Her lips straed inches away from his and she laughed, "Yes. Of course. That's a silly question," She whispered, before pressing her lips to his. She pulled away a few moments after and continued to grin up at him, "Now, I think it's time for me to go to bed."

"Excellent," he says smiling after she kisses him. "And right, off to bed." He continues holding her hand as they walk towards the staircases and then stops in front of the girls'. He drops a kiss on her lips before saying, "I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"

Faye lets out a small laugh as she imagines what the others would think seeing Scorpius and Faye act like such a couple. It was interesting how they were one of the most functional relationships in the Slytherin House, when they were supposed to be the worst. She stood on the first step and smirked when he kissed her. She found herself not wanting to leave, but the exhaustion continued to beat on her. Kind of like when Chris Brown beat Rihanna. She tapped him on the nose and couldn't suppress her smile, "Duh. Don't we always?" She kissed him once more, longingly, before she turned and walked up the steps. She glanced back once, giving a small wave, before disappearing into her dorm.
