Harry Potter's Bookshelf Empty Harry Potter's Bookshelf

Post  Guest April 6th 2010, 6:11 pm

So I found this book in Barnes and Noble while looking for Thoreau.
IT'S AMAZING.
It's huge analysis of the works of literature that influenced Rowling's work.
I was pretty sure it would be all bullshit.
IT'S NOT.

I'm only just starting the second chapter and I feel like the author, John Granger, betting that's a penname, has slapped me in the face like twenty times already with stuff even I never saw. And I'm an extremely critical reader. I may require you all to read it, because YOU NEED TO.

My life has changed with one chapter, and I'll never look at the books the same.

He's really intelligent but he writes in such a casual manner, it's more like you're having a conversation with him- no, really, I was talking to the book in Calculus, Connor from math class thinks I've gone bonkers. It's really easy to read but it's... AWESOME.

It's only $15.
IT'S WORTH IT.

I worship this man.
I want to read all his HP related books.

That sounds interesting. I had a book like that before, but this one seems more in depth.
