The Dorm Rooms

I was reading something that said there was only one dorm room for boys and then one for girls...but you don't see Fred and George in the Dorm rooms with Harry or the rest of them.

Obviously they had dorms in there. They didnt share, so I dont think that is right.

There's only one dormitory for each sex, but there are different rooms, if you know what I mean.

Each dormitory gets at least two rooms; one for boys and one for girls (an enchantment prevents boys from entering the girls' area, although there is no spell to prevent the reverse from occurring).

It says at least. And Wiki says that because it hasnt othe wise been confirmed. But we KNOW that George and Fred arnt in Harrys dorm ROOM, so much have their own.

Viktor's right. In COS after the flying car incident, there's a scene in which Harry and Ron go up to their dormitory, it is described as being their old dormitory from first year, but it now had a sign on it reading "SECOND YEARS" all in caps an tinyfont in the book. xD

Yep, there's the boys and the girls, but within those two, they are divided up further by year. Which is why Harry, Ron, Neville, Dean, and Seamus are all together, since they're all in the same year.

A New dorm forms every year, they have seperate rooms for the seperate years and that way, no fights develop between the younger students and the olderstudents.

Yeah... I mean I always assumed there were 7 boys dorms and 7 girls dorms.... one for each year of each gender... then different staircases leading up to each gender with doors off it for each year.
