The Shoebox Project Empty The Shoebox Project

Post  Guest March 6th 2010, 7:10 pm

It's probably the most famous HP fanfic out there, at least at the moment.
I'm not done reading it so I will be afraid to look at this thread until I am done.
But I have to say I love it.
It's so well written, compared to other fanfics- it's realistic (with some exceptions where I was all WTF MATE? Like the Halloween thing, it made no sense and seemed pointles...) and uses proper grammar.
I love people who use proper grammar.
I am a grammar nazi, but you all knew that.
At any rate, I have to say Remus is portrayed exactly as I imagined him (and completely different from what he is on here, haha).
I should probably be more upset that I identify with his character as much as I do in SBP.
I really do talk like that, and I most certainly think like that.
People give me funny looks when I start talking in Shakespearean English out of nowhere, oh well.
Also, Sirius is exactly like Sirius, and I love Sirius because he is well, Sirius.
And now I am done rambling and run off to go finish it, because I need to know what happens next or I may cry from frustration.

The Gillyweed chapter was my favorite. However, I was upset that nothing happened. Have fun reading it, and we shall discuss it when you are done!

YES.
Fabian and Caradoc are... ADORABLE.
It's so cute.
I'm still sad, though.
There wasn't any lemon.
They led me on!
Let me believe there was real smut to be had!
And what do they do?
The fanfiction equivalent of closing the bedroom door in a bad movie.

I TOLD YOU IT WAS MILD.

Mostly I'm just posting here because I want to be the last poster in all four of these arty topic things.

But the lemon would have been too awesome for you us mortals.
And Fabion/Caradoc is my new favorite. They were adorable.

Fabian and Caradoc were so cute...
The last little chapter thing about Peter was so depressing. I felt so bad for Petey.

Just finished it. Quite the enthralling read. Cuteness and hilarious abounding... Brilliant. Razz I thought the characters were portrayed fairly perfectly. Very Happy

I agree.
Remus was exactly how I imagined him.
The rest too, but mostly Remus.
Also, I totally do not speak like Remus does in my head.
No, no I do not.
And I've never had dreams like his either. NOPE.

Downloaded it all to my computer last night.
Will be reading it... eventually... when I don't have a shitload of schoolwork I should be doing instead. I have some sense of priorities still, I'm proud to say.

Just thought I'd put these up here if anyone's interested. They're both REALLY long pages of quotes from SBP. Made me quite happy.

So.
I feel really slow for noticing this now.
But I just posted it on Facebook.

I JUST NOTICED. That scene in HBP where Harry's all "Ginny has nice skin." And Ron's all wtf and then he gets it and is all "oh. Hermione has nice skin too..." OMG SHOEBOX PROJECT MUCH. "Lily has nice molecules." -mind blown-
