"I dunno, that- that word also reminded me of that time Dennis tried to be the 'cool' guy, but ended up being some rude little boy that trash-talked girls. I hated it. Luckily, he only thought that was who I was trying to be." He snorted and rolled his eyes, flipping his hair.

Colin grinned. "I'm glad you thought so too," he said. "Because for a moment, when he was explaining it, I worried that he had actually done a good imitation. I guess we both straightened him out, then," he added, laughing, "but it's cool with him. We're on speaking terms, at least."

Colin laughed. "Dennis is a great brother, really, it's just a little hard being the oldest. Like, when I need some advice, where do I turn? I have nobody older..." He shrugged. "Oh well! I can muddle my way through, and I think I muddled the right direction," he added, stroking her hair.

Colin smiled. "I'll keep that in mind, always," he said. "And after the whole thingy outside the Great Hall... You know what I should've done? Come directly to you. That would've sorted things out right away."

Padma wanders down to the lake, having mysteriously disappeared from the birches. The cool breeze blew on her cheeks as she sat down near the rippling water.

Harry started laughing at the thought of studying then saw the look Padma was giving him so he turned his chuckle into a cough. "Well, err...I've actually kinda been looking for a girlfriend..I know it kinda sounds stupid but I really feel like I need someone like that."

Parvati walks down to the lake, and notices that there's only one other girl there. Realizing that she's only talked to ~~Brittany~~ Katie and Padma, she decides to be sociable and go and talk to the girl. "Hi," she says when she reaches her. "I'm Parvati. I'm a seventh year Gryffindor, cheerleader, and I like boys and sex."
