Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Mya had both bacon and pancakes for breakfast yesterday morning, yet somehow still wants more pancakes. Lily wrinkles her nose slightly. "Careful," she says sardonically, "You're getting ego all over my breakfast. Suppose I'd better share with you, then. Your arteries will thank me, anyway." She cuts herself a small bite of pancakes and lifts it to her lips quickly to avoid the syrup they're drowning in creating a waterfall from her fork back to the table. Inner!Jack and Inner!Molly are happy just to sit here and make inappropriate comments, thanks, like the two cranky muppets in the theatre balcony only hotter. She's no longer waiting on her copy of the Prophet, a little smile is curling the corners of her mouth upwards because she's happy to spend her breakfast with Gideon instead.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
AJ is jealous of Mya. That is all. Gideon smirks. "Oh, hardy har har. And you don't have any ego at all, Little Miss Prefect Evans. As if I'd believe that... Come on, I'm sure you want more than that. They're amazing pancakes, aren't they?" He cuts himself a large piece, eating it quickly before going for more. Also, Inner!Gideon would like to say that he hopes they are more attractive than those cranky old muppets, otherwise they're in for a lot of time cracking sex jokes and not so much actual sex. JS.

Lily rolls her eyes, though she's still smiling just a little as she takes another mouthful of pancakes. A small, girly, non-piggish mouthful, not a Gideon-siz---- yeah I couldn't get all the way through that before Inner!Jack died laughing so I'm not even finishing that sentence. "They are great - can't say I've ever actually had bad pancakes before, though. I don't even know if it's possible to mess up pancakes. And I like to think it's more of a healthy sized ego, not a giant, teenage-boy sized ego fuelled by mass amounts of sugar and grease," she says lightly, and picks up his abandoned bacon sandwich to try a bite. Lily's never had a bacon sandwich before... "That's surprisingly good," she admits, putting it down again in favour of her coffee.

Gideon grins triumphantly. "It is, isn't it? Nothing like a bacon sandwich for a good, unhealthy breakfast!" He smirks as she reaches for her coffee again. "If you don't think it's possible to mess up pancakes, remember to never let my parents cook for you - well, anyone." He says, eating some more pancakes.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Lily just shrugs. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind. I suppose Molly cooks well enough that it doesn't particularly matter, though?" she says, helping herself to yet more of Gideon's pancakes, her own cereal growing soggy in its forgotten loneliness. She smiles at Gideon, and opens her mouth to ask him when he's free for their second date, but is cut off by the screech of an owl that heralds the arrival of the mail and she loses her nerve, turning away to hide her slight disappointment in her coffee cup. She blinks in surprise when along with her copy of the Daily Prophet, a letter is dropped in front of her. She fishes it out of her cereal bowl and calmly dries it off with a spell, recognising the handwriting at once. "It's from my Dad. Suppose I'm about to hear all about how Petunia liked her gift," she says with a quick grin.

Gideon smiles. "She does, but sometimes Mum and Dad forget that they should never ever EVER be left in a kitchen, and they try. They do like to try it on my girlfriends..." He smiles wryly. He watches as the owl swoops down to her, and snickers at her comment. "Yeah, can you open it now? I'd love to hear how good her lemonade is..." He smirks.

"I knew it - a line of unmarked graves in your backyard, all died of food poisoning," Lily murmurs. She hesitates a moment, before deciding it's better to just bite the bullet and get it over with. Not like a letter can kill her anyway, right? "I'm starting to think we should've sent more sugar - maybe I underestimated how sour she is," Lily says to cover the slight clench in her tummy as she opens up the letter and reads. Her face goes blank as she reads, and she bites her lip, eyes dancing with amusement as she wordlessly passes the paper over to Gideon to take a look for himself while she pockets the two ten pound notes.
Dear Lily,
Your mother is busy calming Petunia down, so she’s asked
me to write and let you know how disappointed in you we are.
So if she asks, this letter was full of stern words and angry
phrases about irresponsibility and provoking your sister, alright?
Apparently your stunt with the sugar wasn't funny.
Send her a box of those liquorice wands to say you’re sorry –
yeah, I know she won’t touch them, but I like them.
Here’s a couple of tenners, kiddo.
Love,
Dad
PS – Destroy this letter so your mother never finds it. xx

Gideon says nothing as Lily passes the letter over to him, and as he reads it, his smirk grows hugely wide. He turns wordlessly to Lily, then holds his hand up. "I think a high five is in order. We. Are. Awesome. Also, seeing as we both participated in the plan, I think I should get one of the tenners." He nods. "Yep, you definitely owe me."

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Lily would be tempted to leave him hanging with that high five, but a high five means contact, so she indulges him. When he speaks, though, she almost wishes she had left him hanging. Scoffing a little, she elbows him in the side and has another bite of his pancakes. "I'm helping you stave off heart disease for another meal, let's call it even," she smirks. "Although I suppose it's only fair I get the pizza next time, so those tenners will come in handy," she says, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear before folding up the letter from her father. She'll make sure it's gone by the time she goes home, next, but the breakfast table in the middle of the Great Hall isn't exactly the best place to be setting fire to things, she thinks.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Gideon moves away from her a little - she has sharp, pointy elbows. "What do you do with you elbows, sharpen them? That actually kinda hurt, you know." He says, pouting a little. "Pizza again next time? Surely the second date demands more than pizza..." He smiles. Also, Inner!Gideon thinks that seeing as the Howlers burst into flame in the Great Hall fairly often, burning a letter wouldn't probably be that out of place.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Inner!Lily just thinks that there are enough idiots setting fire to things at random without her joining in. "Oh I'm sorry - I was under the impression that your, ah, 'perfectly sculpted' self could handle a little elbowing. More than pizza?" she repeats, not quite able to hold back the grin, her green eyes betraying her curiosity. "Did you have something in mind, or do you think you're just setting me a challenge?"

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Inner!Gideon loves himself some fire. "It can, it's just that it's not entirely necessary now, is it?" He protests. "And yes, a second date demands more than pizza. And actually, I do have something in mind. And no, I'm not telling you, okay? No matter how curious, you'll just have to wait and see. Why - do you accept it as a challenge? How is it a challenge anyway?" Gideon looks slightly confused for a moment, but then grins again.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Inner!Lily says case in point, then. Lily shrugs, smirking just a little to say 'maybe not necessary, but what can you do about it now?' "Hmm, see this is where things get interesting. See, the way I figure it, I do believe I asked you out this time, which means it's up to me to plan ahead. And therein lies the challenge of finding something that steps it up from pizza," Lily points out, twirling her fork around her fingers. "So I guess whatever you have in mind might just have to wait until next time," she says lightly, sounding more secure in the eventuality of a 'next time' than she actually feels.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Gideon watches her talk, and twirl her fork, and just generally talk. Because he can. "As, I see; you're going into the finer semantics of these things. Well, if you're being technical - which you are - then indeed, it is your turn to pick something. I shall file my totally awesome idea away in my brain for future use, yeah? And don't worry, with Gideon Prewett, there is almost always a next time." He smirks.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
"It's not semantics, it's etiquette," Lily insists with a grin. "So if you wanted to run with your totally awesome idea, you should've gotten in first. Such is life. So... almost always a next time? That either makes you a really tolerant guy, or just easy. Good to know," she smirks right back.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Gideon grins. "Okay, semantics, etiquette, fair enough. I'll just have to wait. You know, though, that if you hadn't've asked me out, I wouldn't have kissed you. That would have been missing out, now, wouldn't it? So, when are you planning this shindig for anyway? I might have to check my schedule, you know." He smirks, making as if to pull a diary out of his pocket.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Lily's eyebrows rise sharply at his cheek. "Oh, if you want to be there, you will," she shrugs, because even though she wants Gideon to be interested, if he lost interest she's not the type to moon about and beg and generally be pathetic over the whole thing. Merlin, she's not Potter. "How's Friday night in your oh-so-busy schedule? And you know, basically what you're saying is that if I hadn't asked you out, you'd not have had the nerve to make a move," she points out, tucking her hair behind her ear once again because it never stays put.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Gideon smirks again. "Don't worry, I will be there. I'll clear my schedule, just for you." He says, winking. "Friday is fantastic! And no, that is not what I am saying, but it certainly helped. I wouldn't want to go around snogging just everyone." He raises an eyebrow at her.

"Well, thanks," Lily says, and grins. She responds to Gideon's arched eyebrow with one of her own, understandably relieved and pleased by the news that he does have standards when it comes to who he snogs. "And again I say 'good to know'," she says, her voice a little quieter. She turns away from Gideon long enough to finish her coffee, checking her watch and realising with a little sting of disappointment that it's almost time for her to head to Transfiguration.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Gideon smirks again. "Indeed, it is good to know." And then he waits for Lily to turn around again, before he leans forward and kisses her gently. "Is it almost time for class? I have History of Magic first - I could do with a nap, you know." He grins.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Lily is taken quite by surprise when she turns around and straight into a gentle kiss from Gideon. She's not complaining though, and she smiles as he pulls back. "Well after a breakfast as big as yours, I'm not surprised you have to sleep it off. I have Transfiguration, and you know what McGonagall's like so I can't be late. I'd better go. See you Friday," she says, and just because she wants to, she gives him another quick peck on the lips before sliding out of her seat and making for the exit.

Gideon grins as she pecks him again, and then watched her leave. He sat for a moment, pondering his luck - she was completely gorgeous, and smart and witty to boot. Hit the jackpot there, Gideon Prewett. Also, this breakfast was delicious. He continues to ponder his luck in life as he heads off to History of Magic for his nice, long nap.

Viktor is here at breakfast, not eating his food because he's too busy thinking about the other letters that he ended up finding last night. So he's just sort of moving the food around on his plate with his fork, hoping that his BFF will get here soon to take his mind off things...Or that Rolf will show up to breakfast soon. Either one.

Re: Gryffindor Table [FREE ROLE PLAY AREA]
Molly struts into the Great Hall for breakfast in a fantastic mood, stilettos clicking happily against the stone floor. She spots Viktor and her face twitches with the desire to just burst into wild giggles and point and laugh, but being a Prewett, she does no such thing and she's completely under control within a nanosecond. She looks perfectly happy and innocent when she slides into the space next to her BFF, greaming brightly up at him. "Hey Viktor! How you going?" She busies herself pouring coffee.

Viktor looks up and smiles when he sees his BFF, wondering if he should start out with the good news or the bad new first. Hm. How about he just does it all at once. "Hey, Molly! Vell, Rolf and I are dating now," he said, unable to keep the grin off his face as he thought about his boyfriend. "So things have been pretty amazing...Up until Justina came back..."
