Parvati gave him a wide smile when he said she was beautiful. It was nice to meet a gentlemen, who was actually attractive, every once and a while. Rather than dealing with all the guys like Sirius Black who just wanted to get into girls panties and nothing else. "James??" She asked looking at him and cocking her head slightly to the side. "James as in James Sirius?" She asked, wondering why "Chuck" would be wondering where her boyfriend was. She leaned down and picked up one of her books and started picking up the papers that had fallen out of it.

Charlie saw that she was about to pick up her books, so he bent down and picked up a few for her while she collected the scattered contents of what appeared to be a well-worn notebook. "Yep, that's him." Why is she confused about who "James" is? Isn't he her boyfriend? Maybe they're not together anymore.... I should find out so I don't embarrass myself by flirting with someone who A) is already taken, and B) is taken by James. "I was just checking. I haven't seen him in a while and I didn't know if you two were still in touch" Nice going Charlie boy. Just ambiguous enough to not give away much to her, but it'll help me find out what I want to know. Charlie quickly hid a boyish smirk underneath a cool poker face.

Parvati got the last of her papers all together and took the book from him as she looked up at him. "Thanks." She said with a smile as she tucked the papers into her book. "Oh. Yeah, we are still in touch." She said nodding. "He's my boyfriend." She said, a smile spreading across her lips slightly as she said it. "I haven't seen him today but I spent the day with him yesterday." She said nodding as she looked up at him, wondering why he was wondering if they still kept in touch, and also wondering how he knew they ever did talk. She hadn't ever met him before so she didn't know him. How was it that he seemed to know her?

Charlie stood up with books in hand, but rather than feeling happy that this girl was talking to him, he felt saddened that she was still taken. Man, everytime I see someone hot, I let myself jump several months ahead. We're not going out, and that's a fact. Stop getting down about this. Quick, cover up man, cover up "Oh, yeah that makes sense. He just didn't mention anything in class last week, so I wasn't sure what was happening." Charlie replied. "You see, we have this group project, and I haven't heard from him since last week and I was starting to get worried. We have to research the purpose of muggle political campaigns. So far we haven't found anything relevant since the 1800's".

Parvati stood up slowly, fixing her books so they were all even and the papers were inside of them. "Oh." She said quietly, her smile faltering slightly when he said that James never said anything about her all last week. She understood if he didn't want to talk about her all the time but to not talk about her at all when she was in the Hospital Wing possibly going to die, that upset her a little bit. "Hmm." She said and thought for a moment. "That sounds like the worst project ever." She said bluntly. "Sounds boring." She added with a small nod. Parvati wasn't big on the whole muggle studies thing.

"Well I'm sorry you think that. By the way, I was wondering what happened to your arm..." Charlie asked. He wanted to try being straightforward and brave for once. So after displaying his notice of her broken arm, he took a bold move and continued with "and if there's anything I can do to take away some of your pain?" Ok, now that's just creepy, good going Chuckles. Now she's gonna run away like everyone else. Charlie tried to prevent her being creeped out by looking as innocent as possible, which – let's be honest – can't be much more innocent than he already is.

"Oh." She said and looked down at her arm. "I was in a cheer accident just last week." She said nodding. "I actually just got out of the Hospital Wing yesterday." She said with a light shrug like it was completely normal that she was in the Hospital Wing for about a week. "I have to stay in the cast for another couple of weeks though." She said with a sigh as she looked down at her arm. It was going to suck being in a cast for so long. It kept her from doing so many things she liked doing. When he commented on helping her with any pain she smiled slightly. "Oh, i'm good with the pain." She said with a light laugh. "I've got lots of meds for the pain."

Parvati smiled widely when he said laughter was the best medicine. It was true. She bit her lip lightly when he asked her to hang out, wondering if she should or not and then decided to just go for it. She nodded. "Yeah, sure!" She said smiling brightly at him. It couldn't hurt to just hang out with "Chuck". He seemed like a pretty cool guy from what she could see.

Charlie felt a combination of glee and repressed anxiety. Did she just say yes? Holy crap I'm hanging out with Parvati freaking Patil! "Fantastic. Why don't we meet tomorrow?" He asked hopefully, yet again. The moment the words escaped his mouth, he noticed a bead of sweat dripping down his face, coming to a brief halt at his chin, and before he could pretend-to-scratch-his-chin-but-actually-wipe-away-the-sweat, it flew down his front and landed on his chest. "Please don't notice the sweat, please don't notice the sweat" he thought to himself.

Parvati smiled widely at him. "Yeah, tomorrow sounds great." She said nodding, a wide smile still on her face. "Um, how about I'll meet you in the entrance hall around 12?" She asked him, a small smile still on her face. Parvati did not notice the sweat however because now she was worrying that she wouldn't have time to copy all of Milli's homework that she was supposed to do while she was in the Hospital Wing.

"Noon in the entrance hall it is, then" he affirmed with a giddy grin across his face. Charlie decided to take a stab in the dark and assume she had work to do, and thusly followed with "maybe if you're good I'll help you with whatever work you have to catch up on. I'm assuming your professors didn't give you any leeway due to your...ahem... accident." He shot her a quick smile turned into a smirk.

Parvati smiled. "No. They definitely didn't." She said with a light shrug. "I'll probably need some help considering I've been out of class for over a week." She said and flashed him a wide grin. "I'll probably just copy one of my friends who is in the class though and then just try and catch onto what we are doing in class." She said lightly. "Thanks for the offer though." She preferred to just copy someone rather than actually have to learn all the work she missed.

After leaving the hospital wing, Remus wandered about a bit, searching for Jack. He was a bit worried cause he couldn't find him anywhere and then wondered if maybe Jack had actually eventually showed up at the hospital wing, so then he went back there to check. No sign of Jack. So now he was just wandering about, feeling tired and breathing kind of heavily. He generally healed quickly, but there was still the fact that he hadn't eaten anything yet today and hadn't gotten that much sleep. He'd promised Sirius he would return to their dorm after finding Jack, but he might have to make another stop at the hospital wing beforehand to get some more meds or something to help. Ick. Thankfully there was no one around right now. Remus hated being around lots of people right after a full moon because he didn't want them to see him like this. He'd never admit it out loud but it was just really embarrassing to him. *cue...someone other than Jack so no sadness has to happen...ok ok, never mind...let's just get this sadness over with*

Jack figures he'd better try again, given that he'd promised he'd see Remus after the full moon and Remus wouldn't know that technically Jack had already seen him. Turning the corner to the hall nearest the Hospital Wing, he spots Remus struggling slightly and sighs. Now that he sees his boyfriend, he wishes he'd stayed away. He doesn't want to do this, but he knows it's not fair to either of them to let things go on as they are. "Hey," he says quietly, moving over to help support Remus. "Are you sure you should be out of bed?"

OMG I kept refreshing the page and going 'please don't let there be a reply, please don't let there be a reply' and then I saw Jack's name having replied and practically screamed. *headdesk*
*goes to keep Remus from smothering himself with a pillow...and Kras*
*blinks*

Remus jumps, startled out of his thoughts when Jack suddenly appears and is helping support him. His eyes light up and he can't help hugging Jack tightly, even though it kind of hurts to do so. His ribs kind of ached. "Well..I probably shouldn't be just yet, but I wanted to see you...so..I got up." He looked down at the floor, biting his lip guiltily. "I'm sorry...I know I shouldn't have, I just couldn't help it."

And now Amethyst bursts into tears because this is just sad.

Jack closes his eyes, because now he feels really, really fucking guilty. He hugs Remus back, because this might be the last time he gets to do that, before pulling away and leading him to a stone bench set in a shallow alcove. "Here, rest up a minute. I, uh, already went to see you once," he admits, rubbing the back of his neck. "You were... occupied, so I left you to it." He swallows, building himself up for what's to come.

I'd have Kings do it too...except he's currently no where to be found. He's been quite mad looking since I read the Hallway thread...wasn't going to let him read it but it just kind of slipped. XD He doesn't like it when other people pick on Molly and is rather defensive of her. *won't 'Aww' at him anymore though cause the threatening looks just aren't worth it* <.<

"Occupied?" Remus tilts his head, slightly confused. He was glad they were sitting now because he really did need a rest. "I was only talking to Sirius and also threatening to take away his rights to looking at my notes for a week." he chuckled. "You could have come in. I think it would have been okay. Especially after I told him how you responded to finding out that I'm a werewolf and all...I think he has a bit more respect for you now. Which is a good thing in my opinion." he smiled.

Jack sighs. He tries to match Remus' smile to keep things as light as can be, but there is nothing right now that makes him want to smile. "Er, yeah. See, the thing is-- did you ever hear that saying 'two's company, three's a crowd'? It would've been crowded in there. Kinda like how things are crowded in our relationship." Jack swallows and forces himself to hold Remus' gaze. "You're still in love with him, aren't you?" A part of him wishes that Remus would just say 'no', and that Jack could laugh himself off as an idiot and they could put this whole mess behind them. But deep down he knows the answer, no matter what words come out of Remus' mouth.

Remus notices the way Jack's struggling to keep a smile on his face and something in him starts to panic. He can't think of a reason why he would feel so panicky, but then Jack asks if he's still in love with Sirius and it hits him. He doesn't want to think about what may - well, most likely will - come next, but he has to answer Jack, and do so truthfully. There was no reason to lie anyway - Jack already knew what Remus was going to say before he even responded. "Yes." he admits quietly, trying to keep any hint of shaking out of his voice. "And I'm sorry I just can't forget about it, even though I know it'll never be reciprocated."
