A Random Corridor

Severus stumbled along the halls drunkenly, a tangled mess of emotions tearing away at him. He was so guilty, so stupid, so useless, so hurt, so scared... so damn drunk. He hated himself, so much. He'd managed to screw things up for Pansy. Pansy. The only friend he could be completely honest around, completely relaxed, who knew what he wanted, what he needed, without him ever saying a word. He felt terrible.

[Draco Malfoy]

*Tam wandered down the corridor and saw Severus*
Severus? What's wrong? Are you drunk? *it was fairly obvious he was, she could smell the alcohol from where she was standing*

Severus looked up at Tam, groaning. No. This was not what he needed right now. Not another stupid Slytherin girl to bother him. Right now, he needed to go imprison himself somewhere he didn't cause anyone any more pain. Stupid Lily. Had to promise her he wouldn't pitch himself off the tower again. Didn't she realize how much better off people would be without him? "Yeah, I'm drunk. What of it?"

[Draco Malfoy]

*Tam looked at him and saw the pain in his eyes* Severus... what happened? Did someone hurt you?

Severus glared at her. Couldn't she see he wanted to be alone? "No. I hurt someone else. Again. Now why don't you move along before I end up hurting you too somehow. I seem to have a knack for things like that," he snarled, trying to stumble past her. Unfortunately for him, he tripped over his own feet and went crashing to the ground. "...Ow."

[Draco Malfoy]

*Tam crouched down next to him and pulled him into a sitting position*
Who do you think you've hurt this time?

"Don't think. I know. I was there. Pansy. I've ruined everything for her. Because I'm drunk. Drunk. Stupid, stupid, drunk, that's who I am. Stupid useless drunk." He glowered at her, angry at her for staying around him when he so clearly wanted her gone. "Now go AWAY. Before I fuck something else up!"

[Draco Malfoy]

Severus.... *Tam looked confused* I just walked by Pansy and Draco and they were snogging in the hallway back there... what did you mess up?

"Wait, they were... what?" Severus stopped giving her the death stare, a look of utter bewilderment on his face. "They were... what?!"

[Draco Malfoy]

*still looks confused* they were snogging... you know... kissing, making out... what ever you want to call it... I promise you they seemed fine to me! *looks Sev over taking in his rather bedraggled appearance* can I get you anything?

Severus looked at Tam, hardly believing it. "They were really... OH MERLIN SHE IS SAVED! THANK YOU, OH GREAT SORCERER!" Sev fell backwards, hitting his head on the stone floor. "Yay!"

[Draco Malfoy]

Severus! *pulls him up again and checks the back of his head for bleeding* here, eat this *she hands him a sober-up sugar quill*

Severus looks at her funny, but shrugs and nibbles on it. It's not long before the effects kick in, and he starts to sober up. "Oh... Oh Merlin. I am never drinking again. At least not until next week."

[Draco Malfoy]

Yeah, maybe stay out of the bottle for a while.... *is still concerned* does anything hurt? do you need to go to the hospital wing?

"No, no, I'm fine. Er... sorry for snapping at you. I'm not terribly happy with the world right now. Or myself, for that matter." He thought about getting up, but decided he didn't see the point in it, and remained sitting on the ground.

[Draco Malfoy]

It's not a problem.. do you need someone to talk to? I'm a good listener... *is worried about her friend housemate*

"No. I'm fine. Really. I can take care of myself." He didn't remember telling a bigger lie in months.

[Draco Malfoy]

*raises eyebrows* I find that hard to believe, you only just got out of the hospital wing

"That was different. I'm fine now. Now stop trying to mother me. I'm not drunk anymore, and I can hex you," he said, though the slightest smile on his lips gave away that he wasn't serious. He was just so relieved that somehow, things had worked out for Pansy.

[Draco Malfoy]

You can but you wouldn't *she smiled back, glad to see him looking better* and how was it different?

[is Sev going to bring up the Remus thing?]

[No, he's forgotten about it at this point, too much on his mind.]

"Because, I was half dead, remember? I'm alive now, see!?" *flail*

*ducks the flail* I can see that! You had us all worried for a bit there!

"Worried? Haha. Who the hell would be worried about me? I'm Snape, remember? The freak with the greasy hair and the big nose? The one everybody hates?" Severus laughed, his voice hollow again. Tam was so stupid at times.
