Molly smirks. "Make you a deal? You get me leather pants, and I'll get you leather pants for you birthday. And then we can watch as, like, the entire population of Hogwarts has a collective heart attack over how the Prewett sisters make leather look good. 'Sides, if Giddy and Fay give me any attitude, I'll just kick them in the shins with my combat boots and offer to not wear pants at all if that makes them feel better about stuff. And then I'll have to owl Mum and explain to her why their heads exploded and it'll be, like, hilarious!"

Molly just shrugs. "Don't forget sunblock. You really, really don't want sunburn in the wrong places I'll bet. Like, really. That would just be awkward. And you'd totally want to do it before it gets too cold or you'll make yourself sick. And then you totally wouldn't have the energy to run away when Gideon and Fabian come to kidnap you and ship you off to a convent or something equally lame. Anyway, Ali, I've gotta run. I've got a crop to take care of, you know. See you soon, sis," she grins, hopping up and sauntering off.

Cho sat down at the edge of the dock and sighed. It was such a nice night out. The stars were shining, and the moon was bright. It was the perfect night for stargazing, and while she wasn't the divination type of girl, she certainly loved looking up at the clusters of stars in the sky over Hogwarts. After lying there peacefully for a few minutes, she got up and left for some midnight Quidditch.

Rolf walked out to the grounds, eager to get some fresh air and straighten his thoughts. He sat down at the dock just to think shit over. AND CUE DEAN FOR A NON-ROMANTICAL SORT OF TALK. Dom just didn't know where to post.

Dean came down to the docks to get a better view of the castle. He already drew the lake, but he told Luna he'd try to draw the castle. He sees that there is a boy here already here. He would turn around, but he's already halfway down the dock. He decides to introduce himself. "Hey. What's up man?"

"Oh hey," Rolf said, giving the guy a small smile. "How are you? Sorry if I was taking some sort of sacred spot. I can go if you want," he offered. He glanced at the guy carefully for a moment as if analyzing him then said. "You look familiar. Have we had classes together maybe?"

"No. You're okay. I was just coming to do some drawing." He lifted the sketchpad in his hand. He too studied the boy in front of him. "You look sort of familiar too. What year are you in? I'm Dean, by the way, Dean Thomas."

"I'm a seventh year," he replied. Which is actually kind of awkward because Luna APPARENTLY IS NOW A FIFTH YEAR. Dom might change Rolf's year. She doesn't know yet. "I'm Rolf though...Rolf Scamander. You're a Gryffindor?" he asked, glancing at the boys robes.

"I'm a Seventh year too! We must have had a class together at some point." Yes. That is now veeerrry awkward.."Yep. Gryffindor. You're a Ravenclaw?" He gestured to the blue on the kid's robes.

"Yep, a Ravenclaw. Makes sense though why I haven't seen much of you," he said with a smile. "Ravenclaws tend to always have classes with Hufflepuffs," he shrugged. "I actually don't know many Gryffindors. I just tend to stick with the people in my house."

"Luna Lovegood?" he repeated, glancing over at Dean. "Yeah...just met her today," he said grinning. "She's really lovely...very pretty too," he said, his thoughts flying to the gorgeous blonde who likes girls.

Dean felt an inexplicable surge of...jealousy? "Yeah! She's great, one of my closest friends." He wondered if this dude was interested in her, then wondered why it mattered to Dean. "So, you have a good holiday?"

"Yes...it was alright," he replied with a small shrug. He thought of what Dean said about being good friends with Luna...and figured he should really get on Dean's good side. It would definitely be beneficial to him. "I honestly didn't do anything exciting, which is rather lame. How was your summer?"

"About the same. Just a lot of camping." He shrugged and wondered how to figured out if Rolf fancied Luna, without sounding like he was prying. "It would have been nice to spend the summer with a girlfriend. Too bad I don't have one. You? Have a girlfriend that is?"

"Well camping sounds fun," he said with a smile. "I love going on adventures and what not. It's the explorer in me. No girlfriend though at the current moment," he said with a shrug. "Haven't quite found anyone my type. Well...until recently that is."

"Well...I mean...your friend..." he said awkwardly, because it's tough talking about a dude's friend. Things can just get so awkward with that whole territorial thing. "There's just...there's something about Luna that I felt immediately drawn to."

That flame of anger built up again, but he pushed it away. "Oh Luna! Yeah. Luna is cool. I could, um, put in a good word for you?" That felt so wrong to say, and he wasn't sure what made him say it.

"Really?" he asked slightly surprised by the offer. He honestly hadn't seen that coming in the slightest. "That'd be great! I mean...but don't hint at anything quite yet. Wouldn't want to freak her out too much. We did just meet after all," he said.

Dean was still confused by his own actions. "Yeah. You seem cool enough. I'm usually pretty protective of my female friends, but you seem okay for Luna. She can be a bit much to handle." That sounded weird. "Not in a bad way. Just, she has a lot of theories and mythical creatures that she talks about."

"Oh I know!" he said grinning. "I mean, I was talking to her about that sort of stuff today. See, my grandfather is Newt Scamander...and her father is the editor of the Quibbler. Based on the those two figures in our lives, we both have quite a bit in common with our interest in magical creatures."
