"How have I been? How have I been?! Who the fuck cares how I have been, you obviously have not been good!" She said sitting him down and taking a better look at his face. "Whats been going on? Twice in three days... I might be able to heal it, but I dont want to make it worse." She looked at him with sad eyes. This was not her best friend. He hadnt even made a sexual advance on her yet and they had been here a whole 30 seconds. Something was defiantly up.

Sirius sighed as she sat beside him, and promptly wrapped his arms around her, 'cause this boy needs a hug, and if you say no, he'll pout and puppy-dog-eyes you. "I'll be fine, or at least, that will be. First time was some stupid Pu-- I mean, I got into a fight with this huge guy, transfer student, said he didn't like my hair! Can you believe that, the nerve of him!" he lied, not at all willing to admit he got punched in the face by a fucking Hufflepuff for manhandling a girl. "So obviously, I told him just what I thought about HIS hair and outfit, and he just got all pissed off and punched me. Jerk," he said with a nod, because seriously, he's too damn depressed to come up with a better story than that. THAT IS HOW LAME HE IS RIGHT NOW, FOLKS.

She let him wrap his arms round her leaning her head on his shoulder and swallowed his lie, knowing it would be worse to disput it, "Oh yeah, I heard about that. The guy ended up in the hospital wing right?" She supplied, a smile dancing on her lips. "Rumour has it Poppy couldnt fix his face and had to send him to St Mungos." She desperatly wanted to cheer Sirius up. It broke her heart seeing him so down in the dumps. He was the happy go lucky one, that acted like a 5 year old child on halloween after having consumed all the sweets in the world.

Sirius laughed at that, glad she was just going to humor him, instead of prodding. "Thanks, Katie. But really, I'll be fine, just had a rough week-- fighting with my friends, and stuff, it's just awful, really. But you're here now, and that makes it a hell of a lot better," he said, offering her an attempt at his usual cheeky grin.

Katie frowned at his attempt to smile cheekily at her, "Well now that's just sad. Come on, up you get. We will get a real smile outta ya, I'm sure." She pulled Sirius to his feet. "If it makes you any more inclined I can flash if you want?" She jokingly suggested, knowing she would never do that. Only Marco got to see her Redunk-you-dunk-dunkulious body. If this didnt work she was running out of ideas. Except maybe buy him a puppy. Puppys always made people happy right?

Sirius burst out laughing outright at that, getting to his feet and offering her a genuine grin that time. "I daresay that might work, Bell, but I don't think your boyfriend would approve. It's true you're dating that Slytherin guy, right?" he asked curiously.

Katie signed in relief at Sirius' smile, she really didnt want to have to talk him out of her flashing him. but then she stiffened at the mention of her 'Slytherin boyfriend'. Just by looking at him, Katie knew she owed Sirius the truth, he had taken to much shit in the last week, "Yeah, I would have told you but we weren't really telling anyone. I swear he isn't like the other Slytherins. He is kind, and gentle.... Sorry I didnt tell you" She said waiting on his reaction.

Sirius shrugged, not really all that bothered-- it wasn't as if he'd seen a lot of Katie lately anyway, and given her the chance to tell him. "It's fine, Katie," he said through a slightly stiff smile. "I believe you, Bell, just be careful, alright? But I know all about people not exactly being what you expect, remember."

Katie smiled at him, "I am glad you understand. And dont worry, I am on my guard for any funny business with him trust me." She said honestly, "And you know if anything were to happen, you would be the first to know" She reassured, making sure he knew just how much he meant to her. She pulled him back down to sit, feeling like the old Sirius was almost back again. "You know I considered buying you a puppy to make you happy" She said in a conversational tone.

Katie felt elated as he laughed he obviously thought it was a good idea and that there was no irony in it, nope, none at all. "Your most beautiful friend? Oh shucks, you do make me blush!" She said playfully smacking him on the arm. He really did have a way with words that boy. No wonder he had every girl falling at his feet! "I will keep the puppy idea in reserve though" She nodded solomly... or she could give it to him for christmas. Yes, that was a good idea. "So you thought about what you are getting me for christmas?"
