"Yeah, I like finding pictures. The city isn't as hectic as people probably think. It can be relaxing too." She followed his gaze upwards to see wispy clouds, not the big puffy ones she prefers. "Oh, I'm a pureblood." She shrugged. "Your dad's a muggle then? What's that like?"

[Okay, Night! I should be on late tomorrow too, not sure if I work Sunday morning yet..]

Seamus chuckled, "Very interesting, actually. He sends owls more often than most parents, curious as to what I learn and do here. Personally, I think he's a tad jealous, but it didn't seem that way when he found out. When I was around five me mam told 'im what she was, which was a shocker to both of us. He kind of exploded and then went even more nuts when she told him I inherited it from her. After a while he cooled off, but I think it still kind of bugs him that I go so far from home for school and come back with piles of spell books, robes, and a wand. What about being a pureblood? That must be cool. No troubles, no confusion, just normal to be what you are."

"Yeah, I bet that was a lot to take in all at once. I always thought Muggles would jealous if they knew magic existed. It's also part of a parents job to worry. I'm sure a school with a bunch of underage wizards sounds a lot more dangerous than a 'normal' school." She shrugged. "I guess it was fine being raised in the Wizarding World, I mean I don't know anything besides that life so it's hard to compare, ya know?" She hoped that made sense to him.

"Yeah, I figured you'd say that," he smiled warmly at her, nodding. There was a brief moment of silence, where he thought about earlier that day and how he'd randomly started talking to Lavender even though he never really knew her personally. "Erm, sorry about my sudden 'hi there' earlier, by the way. I'm sure it surprised you a bit, since we've never really had a legitimate conversation. I've always wanted to meet you, just too," he trailed off. Shy, but he wouldn't tell her that, she might expect his small feelings for her. What was he thinking? Small? They were tiny! Microscopic even. Or, so he was hoping. Just a crush, no big deal. Yeah, right.

"Oh, it's not problem really. I don't like sitting alone anyways, and Parvati wasn't showing up." She looked over and smiled at him. "I like making new friends too. I am one of those people that always has to be around other people, ya know? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy alone time too, but when I'm here I sort of prefer being around someone." There she went again, rambling. "Sorry, I never really know when to shut my mouth."

[Sorry if I'm slow to respond. I'm in 3 places, with 3 different characters and I only have 2 web browsers..]

"Oh," he sighed, relieved. "I know what ya mean, I hate the feeling of not being able to be around someone. It's good to know I'll always have a shoulder to lean on. Well, ya know, in a manly way," he grinned. "No, no! It's okay, really! I actually like hearing you talk. I mean, you have a pretty - erm," he blushed, "voice. If that came out right? Did it? Uhh," he looked away, even more red than before.

[haha it's ok! I'm going to take forever too. Plus, I'm going to attempt to creep into Nev and Dean's little convo.. if it's still going on x)]

She giggled at his awkwardness. "Yes, it's okay to say that. And thanks, I guess. Are you okay? You seem a little..on edge, maybe? Just relax. I won't bite." She smiled and briefly patted his knee.

[Oh no! It just ended! Nev is watching t.v. or something like that.]

Seamus couldn't help but beam as she placed her hand on his knee, his stomach giving a small flip. There was a huge part of him that wanted to put his hand on hers, but he was afraid of her responce. Besides, he had a hunch that she was already looking at someone, and it wasn't him. "Oh, am I?" he coughed slightly, then sighed. "It's just . . . that Louis guy," he finally admitted. "It seems like you've met before, it doesn't at the same time? You know?"

[Awwwhhh : P haha, and I made Seamus a jealous sissy.... oops xD]

Her smile falters for a fraction of a second. "I actually just met Louis yesterday. He walked right into me. I don't have many Ravenclaw friends, so I thought he'd be cool to hang with." She shrugged like it was no big deal, but inside she was smiling like a school girl. "Does that...bother you, or something?" She was still a little oblivious to the fact that Seamus was developing a little crush.

[Haha, it's okay! I think it's fitting for him! To be shy..]

"No! I mean, well," he shrugged, "it's nothing. I wish I could make friends as easily as you can. It's a great trait to have, especially for a gal like you." He fiddled with his thumbs for a second, eyes on her. Something was tugging him, like a magnetic pull, towards her, but he rejected it as much as he could. It was clear she didn't really share his feelings, the contact must've been a friendly gesture, nothing more. "It doesn't bother me, really. He seems," he held back a grimace, but knew he couldn't deny it, "nice. Well, he also makes it a little too obvious that he fancies you."

[That makes it more conflicting to pick, I guess. Louis is like really forward and I have inner arguements about my feelings, so I hold back. Then I get cheesy.... xD hahaha]

She couldn't help but notice how cute he looked when he was fumbling over his words. She didn't know why, but she found his awkwardness rather alluring. "You. You think he fancies me?" She couldn't help but smile at that. "It's just, I've gone the last six years without getting hardly any attention from guys. It's just...different I guess, ya know?" Of course he didn't know, what the heck was she talking about.

[That's why it'll be hard for her! She likes Louis sweetness, but she'll like how cheesy and adorable Seamus is.]

Seamus sighed resolutely, "I'm pretty sure he does. It's really obvious, to be honest." He couldn't help but wonder if he, too, was being obvious. Hopefully not. "Yeah, I know what ya mean. I spend so much time hanging out with my other friends that I never give a second thought about girls, and neither do they. I guess it's like returning the ignorance or something. This whole time at Hogwarts, all seven years, I've never once had a girlfriend. Maybe a flirt here or there, but that's it. I know, I'm pretty pathetic," he sighed and drew his fingers through his still brittle hair.

"You haven't had a single girlfriend? Not even on holidays?" She had never heard of that from a guy. "I mean, I've only had one boyfriend." She shook her head at the thought. "You need to get out more, kid." She liked joking around with him. She felt like she could be herself, and he wouldn't judge her.

"Tell me about it," he laughed, his grin growing with every word. "I mean, I probably had a few 'relationships' as a little kid, but if I did I don't remember it." He tilted his head to the side and asked, "How have you not had a boyfriend? I mean, seriously! Look at you!" He flushed as he realized what he'd just said, then shrugged it off.

She rolled her eyes. "Well, you have to know that I dated Ron. That was pretty big news, and I'm sure everyone saw how it started." She giggled when she thought about the celebration party in the common room. "He's the only boyfriend I've had, and it didn't end so well.."

"Oh, I forgot about that. He was pretty terrible, I have to admit. Actually, at that time, he was awful to everyone, even Harry. I think he was just going through some tough times and was willing to hurt anyone who he could use as a stepping stone. Wow, that sounds even more terrible out loud," he mentally slapped himself and said worriedly, "I'm sorry! I hope that didn't upset you. I know it would bug me. Not that I want you to be bugged. I mean, wait . . . I'll just stop talking now."

She smiled at him. "It's okay. I'm over it." She smiles up at the newcomer. "Hey there. How are you? Have we met? You look familiar." She looked over at Seamus, making sure he wouldn't be mad if someone joined their conversation.

"Oh, good!" he said brightly. "Hi!" he greeted the new guy, praying he wasn't another player coming to randomly flirt with Lavender. "The name's Seamus, this here is Lavender. It's a pleasure to meet you . . ?"

"Jimmy, Jimmy Peakes. No, actually, I don't think we've met." He looked quikly at his watch and cried, "Oh, crap! Late for my next class! I'll see you around!" And with that, he rushed off back to the castle.

"Uhm, more like . . . weird," he gazed after the little guy, unsure what to think of that quick little greeting. "Short fellow, must be a first year or something, maybe older. Didn't seem to know what he was doing though. How odd." He shook his head, then turned his attention back to her. "I'm so lost now, that whole thing just threw me off."

She laughed. "I know right. What were we even talking about?" She laughed again. "Well, I guess that means we can start a new topic." She smiled. "We could play a sort of, get to know each other game. If you want." She widened her eyes in what she hoped looked cute and pleading.

Seamus chuckled at her adorable face, holding back the urge to say "Awwwh!" "You don't need to give me the puppy dog look, I'm all for it! Well, let's see." He made an over exagerated thinking face. When he came up with nothing, he said, "Er, maybe you should start."
