Lily smiles. "Yeah, the only problem is it seems like you're related to everyone!"

She waves goodbye. "Okay, I'll see you around!" She waves and gets up shortly after and leaves.

Re: Near the Whomping Willow
James walked down to the Whomping Willow, with whom he had developed a bit of a friendship with. He was around the Willow so much because of Remus, the tree didn't even try to attack him much anymore. He still had to keep a good distance from the dangerous bits, but the tree wasn't as hostile to him as it was to others. He sighed and sat down on the grass, decidedly sans alcohol. So he had gotten in a huge fight with Sirius for no reason. There was no chance for him and Fleur. None whatsoever. He groaned and leaned back into a tree. Why was his life such a massive fuckup?

Re: Near the Whomping Willow
After talking with Sirius briefly at the prom, Fleur left the prom, her hands holding up her dress as she tried not to get it dirty. As she grew closer to the giant tree, which she didn't quite know was the Whomping Willow, she thought she saw someone who looked like James. Since no one except that Harry Potter kid looked like James and most of those people weren't even out along the grounds. She quickly moved to catch up with him, feeling horribly guilty. He looked....well, not pleased. She sat down beside him and frowned, "James....I'm sorry...about, um, ze prom..."

"Don't be," James said, trying not to be irritable with Fleur. In truth, he had quite forgotten that he was by the Whomping Willow, the most dangerous tree on the grounds, and that if he wanted to talk to Fleur, he should move away so she didn't get hurt. But he didn't really want to talk to Fleur, and he didn't remember the Willow, so he stayed put. The tree's branches tittered slightly, but didn't lash out. Probably because James was there, and it was stilled lulled into complacency.

"Well, zat is just silly. Eet obviously upset you and I feel silly because I should 'ave been more 'onest with you. You know zis, I know you do. So, I will be sorry. I will always be sorry because I wasn't 'onest with you," Fleur sighed and stared up at the tree. She wondered why some of its branches looked like clenched fists, but shrugged it off, "I understand if you don't want to talk to me anymore. I am sorry zat I did zis to you. You don't deserve it."

Re: Near the Whomping Willow
James looked away, trying to figure out what he wanted to say. He didn't really want to say anything. He wanted Fleur to leave him alone. But saying nothing wouldn't help. "Look, Fleur, just - stop talking. Go back to Sirius, I don't care. It doesn't matter. Just - go." Some part of James wanted her to leave an never come back. A slightly more rational part of him wanted her to leave so he could think. And there was some part of him somewhere that wanted her to stay with him forever. But he stomped that part out. Nothing as good as that would ever happen for him.

Re: Near the Whomping Willow
"Sirius is with Katie at ze moment and I would like to respect ze fact zat she is 'is date by not interrupting zem. So, no, I will not go back to Sirius. You are my prom date, not Sirius, and zat means zat I will stay with you and not go to Sirius. So, take zat." Fleur had no idea why she had said that, but it was the truth. She smoothed out the wrinkles of her dress and stared over at James, "If you really want me to leave, zoh, I guess I will..."

Re: Near the Whomping Willow
Why wouldn't Fleur just leave? Because James is a man and I have very firm convictions about how my men will act, he didn't voice his FEELINGS. BUT I will concede that he did have feelings. Manly feelings. If Fleur didn't feel the same way he did, then he didn't want her to stay and torture him. "Just go," he sighed, and refused to look at Fleur.

Fleur stared at James and nodded, somewhat hurt, but she stood up to leave anyway, "I, err, um. See you..." She didn't know what else to say as she turned and left.

Re: Near the Whomping Willow
James watched her leave, definitely not happy about it, but satisfied enough that she was gone. He sat back and tried not to think about Fleur.

Re: Near the Whomping Willow
Katie was walking the ground when she saw James looking rather down, and sad. "Hey, James..." She called.

James waved to Katie, and gestured for her to come sit by him. As a compromise, he moved out of the Whomping Willow danger zone. "Hi Katie," he said, trying not to sound too dejected.

Katie went over to sit with him, "Something up?" She asked looking at him carefully. Her mind flashes suddenly to the St Pattys day ball, with her and James... She blushed at the thought.
Re: Near the Whomping Willow
"It's nothing," James said quickly. Ah, the St. Patty's day ball... What fond memories I have of that. "Did you have a good time at prom?"

"Yeah, it was ... pleasant. Sirius was a real gentleman you know?" She said happily.
Re: Near the Whomping Willow
James narrowed his eyes. Sirius. "Oh yes, he's just perfect. Or so I hear..." He jabbed a twig into the ground and dug a little hole, smushing worms that got in the way.
