*feels Tam fall asleep and tightens her hold on her slightly. she wonders how Sirius could've done what he'd done - clearly he didn't know about the baby and she shudders to think what would've happened if Tam had miscarried. nothing between any of them would ever have been the same... not that it was going to anyway, but Remus breaking up to her was a drop in the ocean compared to what could've happened if Sirius had aimed just a little differently*

I've noticed Sirius has a bit of a reflex action when he hears that someone he cares about has been hurt or is in trouble. It's sort of the 'curse first, ask questions later' response.

*works hard to keep her voice even and shrugs lightly, though the movement feels much jerkier than intended and she winces a little, hoping she hasn't jolted Tam's wounds*

Oh, right. I haven't seen you for a couple of days, have I? Remus and I broke up. So, have you starting thinking baby names yet?

We had an argument, he found out about what happened over the full moon and that was that. He decided it was "for my own good" that he not be around me anymore and off he went.

So - are you going to find out the baby's sex? *grin*
