Demelza walked out of the castle and onto the grounds to the lake where it was quiet.

Padma wanders down to the lake and shivered. Boy, it was cold here, compared to India. She looked up at the clear sky, realizing how much she had missed the castle and its beautiful grounds. In Mumbai, the sky was cloudy with pollution, and the streets were crowded with people, cows, camels, schoolchildren, not to mention the auto-rickshaws, rickshaws, cars, bikes, and buses. She loved India, but sometimes it was a bit noisy. Hogwarts was so clear, cool, beautiful, and peaceful.

Demelza heard a noise and looked around and saw Padma and waved and said, "Hi Padma! I haven't seen you in ages!"

"Demelza!" Padma exclaimed, going up and hugging her friend. "Well, I had to make a quick trip to India- not like traveling there is quick, of course," she added, laughing, "but it had to be done. How have you been?"

"I've been pretty good. What have you been up to apart from making a trip to India?" Demelza asked Padma as they had not talked for a while.

"Nothing much," Padma admitted. "Studying for N.E.W.T.s, having raves in the common room, generally being a recluse..." She grinned. "I suppose someone's gotta break the Ravenclaw recluse tradition." She thought briefly of Andrew, and wondered when she would tell him it was over, as well as who she should tell. Harry wouldn't be happy, but Demelza might understand.

"Er..." Padma trailed off. "Well, while I was in India, I started thinking, and... I haven't seen him, but I'm ending it. He's been really sweet and all, but we've only gone on one date. One. While we were together for, what, two months?" She shrugged. "And plus the fact that I rarely see him anymore..."
