After the death of his mother, family and grandfather he was left with little money and his grandmother was forced to come out of retirement to raise another child. He took a job at a muggle store as soon as he was able, but all that earned him was money bought cigarettes with, trying to find away to forget about his grandmother pulling extra shifts to afford food. They were always welcome with his godfather's family, but his grandmother was a proud person who didn't accept help easily. Still, he learned to love his godfather's relatives like family and grew especially close to Victoire, but was carefully to keep his smoking addiction a secret from them so his grandmother wouldn't find out.

Raised by a muggle family her entire life, she was shocked to learn that she was a witch, and her family was even more shocked. When they learned of it, they locked her up, afraid of it being discovered that they had a witch in the family. She escaped, but somehow word got out (probably a jealous older sister, because she was easily the prettiest of the bunch, and at only 11 years old!) and the whole town was after her. It's no wonder, then, that she hates muggles and any affiliation with them, after her childhood friends and their families tried to burn her at the stake!
When she got to Hogwarts to begin her first year, she was very poor, and was made fun of. Percival Dumbledore became her friend, and the only person she told of her upbringing.

He is aggressive, self-assured, full of himself. He is “brave” in a way, which is why he was placed in Gryffindor. But, he’s the negative kind of brave as he uses his bravery in such things as dares, and childish-pranks. He gets angry often and when he does, he turns red in the face. He’s also rude and insensitive around most people. He’s nice and caring to the people he cares about such as friends and family and lovers. Cormac grew up somewhere in Britain and was brought up there. Cormac went hunting on numerous occasions with his Uncle Tiberius who worked for the ministry. And of course, at the age of 11, he received his letter to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

History

Cormac is introduced in the Half-Blood Prince where he is in his seventh year. His life at Hogwarts pre-HBP is basically unknown besides the facts that he was sorted in to Gryffindor and that in his sixth year he ate a pound of doxy eggs on a dare which was why he could not try out for the team that year.

Cormac is first introduced on the Hogwarts Express when a meeting of the first few members of Horace Slughorn’s Slug Club along with people like Ginny, Harry, Blaise and Belby.

Cormac is very fond of quidditch and in his seventh year, when Harry’s captain, he tries out for keeper. Harry says himself in the Half-Blood Price that Cormac could be professional if he didn’t keep trying to do everything. When it comes to quidditch, Cormac accepts nothing but perfection; this is the only area where he’s a perfectionist. He only tries out for quidditch in his 7th year and doesn’t make the team due to being confunded by Hermione leaving Ron to be keeper. Cormac played reserve keeper when Ron was put in the hospital wing. Gryffindor suffered a major loss due to Cormac telling everyone else on his team how to play. During this game Cormac kept trying to show the beaters how to play, Harry yells at him and falls off his broom.

Cormac, in his seventh year is also a part of the ‘Slug Club’ due to his Uncle Tiberius who he often goes hunting with. Cormac attends many dinners and eventually ‘wants to get on a first name basis with Granger.’ Cormac goes to the Christmas dinner with Hermione where he’s rude, and full of himself. He treats her to ‘100 great saves by Cormac McLaggen.’

It’s thought that he does indeed fight in the battle of Hogwarts, because he’s a Gryffindor in seventh year. All older Gryffindor’s fought in the battle, but, it’s possible he could have been taken home before. He is not said to be dead after the battle so it is assumed he lives a full, arrogant life.

History
Bill went to Hogwarts at the age of 11. In his 5th year he got 12 OWLS and became prefect. In his 7th year he got head boy but it’s unknown how many NEWTS he obtained. During school, he had a pen-pal in Brazil who cursed him when he said he wouldn’t go visit him due to money problems.
After Hogwarts Bill became a curse breaker for Gringotts in Egypt. His family came to visit him in the summer before Harry starts his third year. Bill comes home for the Quidditch World cup where he meets Harry for the first time. During the tri-wizard tournament Bill also took time off to watch.
In Order of the Pheonix, Bill applied for a desk job at Gringotts so that he could do work for the Order in London. Whilst working the desk job, he meets Fleur Delacour who took a part time job there to improve her english. Bill later asks her to marry him after a short dating period.
Bill was one of the Order that protected the school whilst Harry and Dumbledore went off to obtain the horcrux and proceeded to be in the battle of the astronomy tower where he was attacked by Fenrir Greyback. Fenrir bit him, but, it was not a full moon so no one was sure whether or not Bill would become a werewolf. Bill just obtained some werewolf tendecies [sp?] like the strong urge for steak.
In the battle of Little Whinging, he took Fleur (who looked like Harry) by Threstral. They made it safely. Bill and Fleur’s marriage at the burrow was later interrupted by Death Eaters who crashed the wedding and took the family prisoner and later kept them on watch.
In the battle of Hogwarts, him and Fleur apparated to the Hog’s Head and got to the Room of Requirement where he fought the battle. In the battle he lost his brother Fred.
After the battle, Bill and Fleur had three children, Victoire, Louis, and Dominique.

Arthur likes learning new things, which explains part of his fascination with Muggles. He generally likes people and tends to reach out to those he feels needs his help. Griffin, "Finn", stands about 6'2", though he could be taller, he tends to wear pretty thick-soled boots. Most of the time, his hair is carefully spiked, 'perfect spikes of doom' as i like to call them, which take over an hour to do. Sometimes he's not that fussy over his hair, but when he decides to leave it down, he almost always wears a hat of some sort. Some people like to think that his hair's always so spiked, so electric, and the hat just keeps them invisible. Finn just likes to laugh at the people who think like this. His eyes are not really an easily describable color, though there's nothing remarkable about them. They're a..brownish green, leaning a little more towards the brown. It's an odd shade, but he doesn't really pay too much particular attention to eye color, nor does he put too much stock in what people think of his image, other than that, he makes sure it looks as nice as it can, for as long as he has the time to keep it that way.

His body is definitely in shape, though he wouldn't really fit into either extremes when categorizing muscle mass. Finn has a muscular build, but just muscular enough to have enough strength in his arms and legs to keep him out of too much trouble when he gets in fights, which is frequently. He's got a nose ring, a labret, and two earrings in each ear, all of which are silver, and sometimes even appear as though he's shined them....which is entirely possible. He tends to get a bit conceited.

He also has one tattoo of a rampant Griffin on his left bicep, encircled by a large amount of celtic knotwork. prettymuch a halfsleeve that stretches from shoulder to elbow, in a myriad of dark colors: black, brown, burgundy and hunter green most often. At the top of his back, across from one shoulderblade to another, is his surname, "Savage" in very...savage-looking gothic like script. There is one scar on his chest that when revealed, almost always garners a question or two. It's long, wide, and ugly, stretching from just below his right pec muscle down to the left of his bellybutton. Not quite a happy memory comes along with that, a very disadvantaged fight. His right arm has a few scars and bumps and such, most of them are either from his time in the Hoffman Home, or from either his childhood best friend Dean, though some of them are from random street fights around the city.

As far as clothing is concerned, dark is his color of choice. Black pants, black shoes, black shirt, black jacket, brown or grey if he really must, but dark is always better, the easiest way to blend in. Plus, really, it matches with everything. He's got the overall look of a stereotypical greasey mechanic though, the clothes are not high quality, but he makes do with what he has. His robes, basically, follow the same theme. But he tries not to wear robes unless he has to, he thinks they look like dresses.

On the Inside

Finn's mostly one of those "stereotypical" drunk Irishmen....except he's Welsh. He's got a chip on his shoulder the size of Hogwarts and he lets people know it, whether they particularly want to or not. His fuse is rather short and he's pretty quick to jump to anger and conclusions, which is what gets him in trouble most of the time. Not that he cares. The thought that he wasn't worth much to anyone was instilled in him from a young age, and he sort of goes with that. There's some little piece of him who wants to stand out, to be noticed, but it's normally overtaken swiftly by the want to be seen as different, as the freak he knows he is. His parents never loved him, his foster parents definitely despised him, and his own mother has said 'i hate you' more than he can count. Why not be exactly like they thought he was?

He likes to think that he's the best, even though in his subconscious he barely thinks he deserves the title of the worst, if that. Finn knows, however, that he's damn good at fighting and able to pull punches and win fights when he needs to, unless the odds are very definitely against him. Survival of the fittest was how he was forced to live his life, and that's how he still acts today. He strives to be the fittest out of everyone, at least physically. Mentally....that's a whole other issue.

His pride's about a mile high and keeps on going, a nice little diversion from the piece of filth he was always told he was. It's a facade, but it keeps him at least somewhat sane. Beneath that pride, he fights constantly with his inner demons, trying to prove that he's better than a scumbag, better than a worthless whelp, and all the other choice words his father and Mr. Hoffman ever had for him. Most of the fights he gets in aren't even about things that are in any way important, no real chivalry or respect, they're about insulting his pride, so he fights.

Buried deep under those layers of toughness and pride, Finn's little more than a fragile, terrified child. He was always pretending to be tough, standing up for his best friend, his brother, but never really taking the time out to think about himself. That's why he lets himself get beaten, just for a little while, just long enough to surprise the people, prove them wrong, catch them off-guard. Sometimes however, his neuroses takes over and he flashes back to that frightened child, having to deal with things far beyond the years he's lived, alone. When he has the flashbacks, he tries to get somewhere secluded, somewhere no one can see him, that is if he isn't holed up in his room. No one needs to see that side of him. It's his filthy secret, a secret that haunts him and disgusts him. Something he wishes he can get rid of every single day he lives, but knows that he can't. The past haunts him, and it's a ghost that will never go away.

Finn doesn't understand these flashbacks, they scare him (though he'd never admit that to anyone). When they abate, Finn barely remembers these periods of fugue states, which last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. He loses all sense of reality, usually seeing a particularly bad beating, sometimes the day he was taken from his mother, and once or twice he's even seen his father leaving him, though it seems more like a dream than anything. Never happened, not if he can push them down hard enough. But as anyone with issues know, the more you push down and the further you push them down, the bigger the eventual explosion will be. During such times, and for a few days after, he's prone to violent bouts with paranoia, hallucinations, and moodswings that can seem rather frightening to anyone who's not used to them.

It would technically be best to leave him alone, but sometimes, very rarely, he'll be able to tell someone that he needs to not be alone. Due to his trust issues however, the day is rare indeed when he not only has the strength to realize not only that he needs someone, but that he trusts someone enough to actually go to them and tell them so.

Griffin Timotheus Savage was born in a shabby little house to Alis and Evan Savage. They weren't rich by any means, but they weren't so poor that they were homeless. They had a roof over their heads and enough money to keep the parents full of as much liquor as they wanted. Finn was always quiet when he was first born, not even saying his first word until he was nearly 16 months old. If he could have thought things like this, he would have said it was because he had nothing to say.

Shortly after his second birthday? That's when things went downhill. Mum was drunk most of the time anyway, and Dad brought in what he could, but he just said he couldn't handle it anymore, and he left. Finn didn't understand, but Finn knew daddy wasn't coming back. The magic died in the family, as he was left with his muggle mother. His slight improvement in his vocabulary disappeared, and he was silent until he was put into pre-school.

He was put in because his mother needed someone to watch the kid while she worked and then got drunk. Mom took on the role of father as well, beating Finn when he did wrong or didn't keep a close enough eye on himself. When Finn was about 6, the teacher saw the bruises and marks, calling the authorities and getting him removed from the mother's home. He was placed in a home that was thought to be prestigious and good for children. The system had no idea just how bad for children it was.

The beatings continued and escalated once at the Hoffman Home, and Finn used to act out more and more, hating the fact that he had to live with all these strangers and had to follow all these rules from a man who wasn't his father. Insubordination was punished by both starvation and comfort deprivation, as Finn spent many a night locked in a small cage in the garage. That's where he first met Dean, and bonded instantly. The entire stay in the Hoffman Home was never any better, especially when he got older, wiser, and stronger. He tried to fight back, which only caused him more pain, a couple hospital visits for his acting out finally got him to shut down again and follow the rules...for a while.

At 11, he received his Hogwarts letter, and he ran that night, hoping to never come back. Unfortunately, he had to return during the summers, which meant he had to put up with the pain. He wanted so badly to use magic, but he'd already gotten a verbal warning for jinxing Mr. Hoffman his first summer home, so he let the man beat on him, sending him to the hospital more times than he could count.

When he was of age, he left that godforsaken place. Dean tagged along too, since he had also recently become of age. They lived together for a while, but Dean splintered off, going his own way, and Finn became more absorbed in mechanics and alcohol to the point where the day Dean wasn't there when he got home seemed like any other day. He'd forgotten that Dean had even lived with him. Didn't break Finn up too much, though, he just kept working and drinking, and fighting. After a few years training himself, learning more magic, he moved to Magical London and set up a small tavern, The Gryphon's Talon, buying the place and small apartment above from an old widow who no longer needed or wanted it. Nowadays, he tries to keep a low profile, but he's usually found there in his shop, in his bar, or in the streets, but those who know how to find him, can.

Adopted by the previous head of Hyakki Clan, Toji Hyakki, grandfather of the current head Hayate, and was trained to be the next in line (though am not from the family) and engaged to Hayate.

Key
Ningyo Clan (人魚族): A clan of wizards who lived on an isolated island on the sea and primarily dealt with water magic and the healing arts. The words 人魚 literally translates to mermaid. The main family also has Nyokai (女怪) protecting them since birth, like guardians. As they were highly secretive, they were also highly sought after as slaves.

Hyakki Clan (百鬼族): A clan of wizards who live in the mountainous and forest terrains and primarily deal with earth magic and ninjitsu (The Way of the Ninja).The words 百鬼translates to a hundred ghost or a hundred demons. The main family’s’ descendent usually took on the responsibility to learn the secret technique, Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.


Sanshi (汕子):
Miela’s Nyokai has the torso of a woman, neck and eyes of a fish, limbs of a leopard and tail of a dragon. Nobody can see her, unless she wishes to, but she is bound to Miela and stayed in her shadows. If Miela dies without a child, she would cease to exist as well. Click here for a bigger picture.

History
Miela was only a baby when the Hyakki Clan wipes out her own Ningyo Clan. As it was a sin to kill an innocent child, she was instead, thrown into the Hyakki Clan and brought up as a slave.

When she was first brought to the manor, the head, an old man called Toji Hyakki had great interest in her, as she was the sole survivor of the Ningyo Main Family and was said to have Nyokai protecting them. Although the Ningyo Clan’s Main Family’s descendents all had Nyokai protecting them since birth, due to the fact that there was no one to teach her how to invoke and call the beast from within, it had laid dormant for 11 years.

Though disappointed that she did not seem to have a Nyokai protecting her (as it was never proven), Toji Ojisama (Grandfather Toji) still took pity on her and decided to keep her close, as he wanted company form someone who he knew had nothing to gain and nothing to lose from being around him.

Toji Ojisama was rather old and therefore, just as Miela hit her 5th birthday, his health took a turn for the worse and was confined to bed. Plans were made for the next in line, Hayate Hyakki, to take over once he died. Everyone waited with bated breath, to see how much longer Toji Ojisama would last.

Being a suspicious stubborn old man, he would refuse to take the medicine that was prepared by the family members for him, in belief that they would poison him. He would, however, only drink the medicine that Miela had made and given to him, trusting her with his life. Miela, having come from a family whose lives spent on the healing arts, had made a different medicine, which differed greatly from the one the family was giving, which was indeed a slow acting poison. Therefore, being the only one able to persuade Toji Ojisama to take his medicine, he had teasingly called her his little “Honey” as their private joke.

While growing up, Miela, being a slave, was treated like one, and everyone soon forgot that she is the descendent of the once great Ningyo family. She worked hard, starting her chores at the break of dawn and ending only when everyone else is asleep. This was the only way to ensure that she gets three meals a day and a straw mat to lie in at night.

On her 11th birthday, she was sent into the back forest to gather some herbs that the family needs. Whilst there, she accidentally slipped and fell off a cliff. Under the pressure of her impending doom and her will to live, the dormant Nyokai in her burst forth to carry her to safety.

Upon knowing that Miela’s’ Nyokai had awaken, Toji Ojisama immediately asked for her to be adopted into the Hyakki Main Family, as his adopted grand-daughter and was crowned next in line. She was also engaged to Hayate. However, knowing his rash decision to protect her was not foolproof; he made various plans for Miela to ensure her survival once he has no longer any power to protect her. One of those plans included having Miela be pen pals with Adelia, a child of his long-time friend, an American Voodoo Queen, Elyssabeth.

Miela, never having any friends her age to talk to, was overwhelmed with the unfamiliar language and expression that the girl was using. However, being a fast learner, she quickly picked up English, and after that, Chinese. Despite their cultural differences and traditional barriers, she and Adelia became fast friends. Even after Adelia moved to Hogwarts, they still continued their correspondence. From Adelia, she came to know of the school Hogwarts and she promised Adelia to be asked to join Slytherin if she ever went to Hogwarts, despite her fear of snakes.

Now, being able to control her Nyokai called Sanshi (汕子) freely, and having a status change, she was no longer a slave who had to work from dawn till dusk, and was instead given a lot of free time. Miela used this free time wisely, by not only learning the ways of her own heritage, taught to her by Sanshi, she also diligently learned the secrets of the Hyakki Clan, under the guidance of Toji Ojisama. In a bid of spite and attempt to further protect her, he taught her the secret technique of the Hyakki clan, Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.

However, due to the difference in backgrounds and having Sanshi in her, Miela suffered greatly for learning the secret technique. Unknown to anyone, Miela risks dying every time she used it.

And so, Miela managed to pass a rather peaceful 5 years, until a little over a month before her 16th birthday, when Hayate had felt like he had enough and overthrew Toji Ojisama. Toji Ojisama, who had feared this days’ coming, immediately opened a Portkey to drop Miela off at Hogsmeade, a small town a little way from Hogwarts, with instructions to look for Dumbledore and Adelia and to call herself Miela from henceforth.

Personality (optional)
One thing you absolutely must know about Jude is that he's a complete dork. As he was 'raised' by a rather absent mother, he typically had to occupy himself as a child. That being said, he turned mostly to things like comic books and Disney movies for this amusement. These stories filled his mind with false promises of being able to achieve the impossible, something that his mother tried desperately to stamp out of him. But, once he received his letter to Hogwarts, he knew that the impossible was entirely attainable.

He's also a bit of a romantic, something that he tries to cover up. He lacks any sort of 'tough guy' attitude, and is something of a 'sensitive soul.' Even so, he's a wonderful friend, and is usually able to make people smile with his dorky sense of humor.

Jude isn't actually much of a macho man, but he likes to pretend he is. He's quite afraid of many things--death, rejection, failure--but typically pretends to handle these things well while in public. It's only when he's alone that he totally breaks.

Strengths/Skills (optional)
One thing Jude is incredibly awesome at is cheering people up. His namesake, the Beatles' song Hey Jude, emphasizes the necessity of cheering up, and making the best out of every situation. And Jude is a living example of that. Despite whatever troubles he faces, he's able to tough them out and wear a smile on his face, regardless. And it's for that reason, most likely, that he was sorted into the Gryffindor house.

---Jude is an only child, the best product of what was a failed marriage. His parents have been divorced since he could remember, and they are each openly bitter about it. While his father went on to remarry a young blonde with two children, his mother furthered her career. Jude sees his father and step-siblings only during the holidays, but doesn't fancy them much, anyways. He prefers his mother, but not by much. His mother, after all, is typically distant and uncaring towards him.
