Pansy smiled at him as he did the smart thing and left the book where it was. She reached up though and pushed it back further into its place, so even if her father happened to look, it wouldn't seem out of place in the least. "I'm sure he'll let you read it, I'd just ask first." She nodded, a little grin crossing her lips as he put his arm around her waist. Again, it was like a safe place to be, in his arms. They were big and comforting and she felt like nothing could hurt her if his hands were holding onto her.

Draco nodded again, a little absentmindedly. The book selection here was absolutely incredible and he now really wanted to get back into his own house to see what his father had. Wrapping his arm around her felt incredibly natural, even after almost a month and a half of separation it still felt right and he just wished that they could always be this way. He looked down to see a few shelves of dueling books and one of arithmancy. It seemed Leo had as diverse a taste in subjects as his daughter did.

Pansy and her father have much more in common than one would think, and every time Leo comes out to play, there are yet more similarities found. That is probably because Pansy aspires to be like her father, and had grown up hiding down here in his study whenever she got the chance. Hours and hours of her young life were spent sitting in front of his fireplace, reading books, drawing, talking to him while he worked and wrote letters. He'd even taught her how to write in cursive down here in his study, letting her use one of his fancy quills on his nice paper. Pansy had many many good memories in this room, a place of escape from her mother for the both of them. Leo finally came back in from planning out dinner arrangements, and though he slipped in very quietly, Pansy heard and glanced over her shoulder with a smile at him. "Hi, Daddy."

Draco and Lucius, though Draco aspires to be like his father in many ways, are still very different men. Unfortunately Draco is almost a hundred percent certain that if he was more like his father his father would be prouder of him, sadly that's not how it is. He looked around when Pansy greeted her father, "Hello, is Muffy home yet?" Draco didn't move his arm for Pansy's waist as he turned them around to see her father, knowing it was still there but not realizing the potential dangers of that move.

Luckily, Pansy did realize the dangers of it, and stepped out of Draco's grasp before her father could send him death stares. He had some pretty deadly death stares. "Yes, your mother was back, which is why it took me a bit longer than I thought. She was bringing some things into the kitchen that she bought today, little desserts or something. Had to get rid of her before I could ask for dinner for you two to be made as well, so I arranged for it while she was gone to try on a new dress to show me. Woman has more dresses than anyone could ever need, but it keeps her out of trouble and keeps her happy." He chuckled and kissed Pansy on top of the head before sitting down at his desk again, leaning back comfortably in his chair, and in a rare view of casualness for Draco, kicked his feet up on his desk and pulled out an old pipe and stuck the end of it in his mouth as he reached for an old box he kept tobacco in. Apparently Leo smokes, whatever, this is news to me. While doing so, he made sure to send that pointed look to Draco, letting him know he saw where the boy's hand was, and that though it wasn't truly inappropriate, that was his little girl, and this was his house, his rules, and the innocence of his daughter was to be maintained without question.

Draco was surprised when Leo kicked up his feet and pulled out a pipe but it was a pleasant kind of surprise, it felt like he was being accepted into the family just a little bit more. He noticed the man's scary look and blinked, glad that Pansy had moved away, that little feeling of welcome was now covered by a healthy sense of fear and a reminder that even holding Pansy's hand could have very bad consequences. He walked over to the desk and gave Leo an appreciative nod, "Thank you for letting us stay down here, while I'm down here do you mind if I read some of your books? Specifically the Thales volumes? I haven't seen them anywhere before."

Leo nodded quietly when Draco thanked him, distracted filling his pipe and grabbing his wand to light it. He put the end in his mouth and looked up at the blonde for a moment before nodding again. "Of course, just take note of where they are and ensure they return there before you leave." Pansy had gone to curl up in the chair she had been sitting in previously, watching the two of them with a certain level of interest at their interaction. "Rare collection, all the Thales volumes." Leo lifted an eyebrow, gesturing toward the books with his pipe. "Rough getting a hold of them, but there they are, an early edition copy all thirteen of them. I think you'll find them enlightening to say the least."

Draco nodded gratefully and walked over to the shelves, very carefully sliding the book out and cradling it as he walked back to the chairs and sat down. "I can only imagine how hard they were to find, he is considered the father of potions and chemistry afterall." Gently he opened the cover of the book, turning past the first few cover pages and stopping at the opening to the first chapter. The book was a thing of beauty, swirls and plants covered the first word, most of the plants were what he would recognize as potions ingredients but others he wasn't familiar with.

"Quite a story, getting those, but that is for another time." Leo laughed, not wanting to talk about it with his daughter in the room. Not that he didn't think she should hear it or anything like that, just that it was a story with events she didn't need to know about, a side of her father that they both knew they liked to pretend did not exist when they were together. The room was silent then, Draco reading, Pansy looking around and enjoying the warmth and familiarity and company of her two favorite men in the world, Leo reclining at his desk and smoking, glancing through papers with a casual ease. It wasn't long before dinner time, and Leo put his pipe away, getting up and heading to the door. "Time for dinner with the woman. Dilly will be down with food for you two in a little while." And with that he left the room, leaving Pansy and Draco alone together again.

Draco looked up when Leo said there was an interesting story. He would love to hear it but knew that as long as Pansy was around he wouldn't get to, he was just going to have to remember to ask later. He was immersed in the fascinating book when Leo said it was time for dinner and he looked up, "Thank you" He put the book down carefully and Dilly popped in with two places. He got up and accepted the plates, passing one to Pansy. "So are we sleeping down here? Is there another room or just curling up on couches?"

Pansy smiled, taking a plate from him and settling down on the floor in front of the fireplace and looking up to invite him to do the same. Dilly had left as soon as he handed the plates over, so that his mistress would not miss his presence and ask questions. "Well, there's more rooms, but only more couches, so I'm not sure what daddy has in mind as far as sleeping goes. We could always sneak up to real beds once mum goes to bed. She wouldn't notice once she's asleep." Pansy shrugged, up for either one really. Regardless of if they slept down here or in a real bed, she figured they'd end up in the same room anyway. Even though they hadn't been snuggling up at night like before, at home it was a little different, and they very rarely had sleepovers without falling asleep holding hands at home.

Draco sat down next to her and picked up a fork and knife, digging into his plate. "This is great, your father knows his food. And sneaking upstairs sounds good, we'll just have to get up in the morning and hide in time, and we both know how good you are at getting up." He grinned at her, nudging her leg with his foot. He wouldn't complain if they were both on a couch or in a bed, spending a great weekend at home with her was worth all the sneaking and hiding.

Pansy tried not to laugh, attempting to keep from breaking a smile as she stared at her plate with big eyes. "Right, right. I can get up, you know," she said, turning to look at him, "if I really have to." With a smile, she turned back to her plate and took a bite of her dinner. Their plates were loaded up quite differently, Draco's with more meat, hers with more vegetables, no doubt as directed by her father, though it would be likely as well that Dilly could have known their preferences. "How's yours?" She asked, glancing at his plate and trying to see whose dinner roll was bigger.

Draco grinned back at her, "Mine's great. I wonder who organized the specific foods." He broke his roll apart and pulled out the insides, dropping them onto the side of her plate. "And I don't think you'll ever get up unless someone steals your blankets, drags you from the bed, or dumps water on you. Possibly all three, probably all three."

Pansy shrugged. "Daddy knows what I like, he probably told Dilly what to make since I'm home." She smiled and picked up the insides of his roll, tearing it to smaller pieces and eating it slowly like always. "Oh, not water. You did that once, actually, and clearly you did not learn from that incident if you're suggesting it again." She gave him a significant look, one which was not too pleased to say the least.

Draco grinned and picked up her dinner roll, doing the same to it that he did to his own and taking a sip of his water. "I've learnt indeed, though blanket stealing still seems like a viable option if you ask me." He blinked at her and chewed happily on a piece of steak. "Or I could just get up, you might wake up from the cold."

"Perhaps. But I won't guarantee you won't be kicked in the stealing process." She grinned at him and ate some more vegetables, especially the potatoes which were always her favorite. "You'd just leave me there all cold and lonely and sad, would you? Max isn't even here to be the true proper boy who takes care of me." She put on a sad face and turned back to her plate, pushing her food around with her fork.

Draco grinned at her, "Poor you, no Max to keep you warm, and I'd only leave you alone and cold if I thought your mother was going to find us. Because I'm not sure what she would throw more of a fit over... finding out we were in the house or finding out that even though we're both legally adults we still share a bed."

"True, I suppose there is something more innocent about us snuggling up together when we were seven, compared to seventeen." Pansy ate a little more before putting her plate aside, crossing her legs indian style and poking him in the side. "Want dessert? I bet Dilly would bring us some if we wanted."

[Draco Malfoy]

Draco shifted when she poked him and looked over at her plate, grabbing her beans to finish off his beef with. "Sure thing. What do you want? I've been craving chocolate pie lately... not sure why." Draco really really really really really really wants this pie. Right now.

Pansy shrugged at him and smiled. "We could get some if you like. Dilly!?" She waited a second and with a pop, the little elf appeared. "Do we have any chocolate pie, or is there a way we could get some, please?" The little elf nodded and assured Miss Pansy that he would find her some chocolate pie for Miss Pansy and bring it right down right away, Miss Pansy. He popped away and she gave Draco a smug little grin. "I do like it when he calls me Miss Pansy so many times."

Draco laughed and put his plate to the side and leaned back against the leg of the chair. "Of course you like it when he calls you Miss Pansy. I think he's the only one who's ever called you that. Oh except that time Blaise and I lost that dare and we had to call you that for a month, remember? When we had to dye your mother's hat orange?"

Pansy smiled widely at him. "Good times, good times. I think Blaise liked it though. He still does it sometimes, but usually only when he wants something." She rolled her eyes, turning as Dilly popped back into the room with two plates of chocolate pie, topped with fluffy whipped cream. "Here you are, Miss Pansy. Anything else, Miss Pansy?" After thanking him and telling him that was all, the little elf left again and Pansy handed a plate to Draco. "Pie, as you wished!" She picked up her fork and ate the tip off her pie, the very best bite of course.

Draco laughed, "Blaise will do a lot of things when he wants something." He smiled happily when Dilly popped back in with the pie and accepted his plate, "Thank you Dilly this looks amazing." He picked up a fork and took a bite out of the side, not quite as systematic as his girlfriend when it came to eating pie. "Mmmm, your elves make the world's best desserts."

"They do, they do." Pansy smiled, wiggling back and forth happily as she ate her pie much more methodically than Draco who was gleefully shoveling it into his mouth. She got a mischievous look on her face, and in a quick moment, she put her fork down, flicked her finger through the whipped cream of her pie, and dolloped it on the end of Draco's nose. Giving him a quick grin, she moved back out of his reach, continuing to eat her pie as if nothing at all had just happened. "You got a bit on your face, just there." She pointed at her own nose, neutral expression as if she were just telling him that it was raining today.
