Pansy gave up fighting it. She could care less about weakness and cowardice anymore, she just let the tears run silently down her face. "You bastard." She got up and threw her book down on the couch, heading toward the door. She didn't know where she was going. It didn't even matter. She just couldn't look at him anymore. It might have been okay, she might've been able to forget about it, but he'd just confirmed everything she'd been thinking and worrying about. He hadn't changed and wouldn't change and could probably never love her and only her. She was an idiot for thinking it might have been possible. Why am I so stupid?

Draco stayed frozen on the couch. He had to do it, no matter how he felt. He stared at the book she had thrown aside and didn't take his eyes off it. He accepted being called a bastard and anything else she wanted to call him. He had expected more and it irritated him that she hadn't done more to him. He stood up slowly and walked up to his dormitory not turning back. It was over. Pansy would find herself someone who wouldn't ever hurt her and Draco would end up alone. It was how things had to be. He would never love anyone other than Pansy, but he couldn't be with her if he would hurt her constantly.
