Re: The Three Broomsticks
Milli raised an eyebrow. "So there's going to be a next time, is there?" she asked, voice neutral, though she was secretly pleased. "I don't know Jesse. That waitress might be really disappointed if you went on an actual date with another girl. I'd feel terrible." She sighed and leaned on the table. "I might agree, however, if I knew she wouldn't be too hurt. I'd need some serious convincing."

"If you're lucky," he answered with a smirk. He pursed his lips, then looked at the waitress then back to Milli. "Oh, I think she'll get over it. She had her chance to talk to me all night, and not even a simple 'how are you?' Clearly, she's not interested," he said with a dramatic sigh.

Milli patted his hand in sympathy. "It's true. I'm sorry. She obviously doesn't know what she's missing." She sighed. "That leaves you free to go out with other, clearly more interested girls," she pointed out. "Think there's anyone fitting that description?"

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Jesse smirked and leaned back in his chair again as he looked around the Three Broomsticks, which was pretty empty seeing as most students didn't come here at night. "Hmm...Not yet. You know anyone who'd be interested in someone who was rejected by a Three Broomsticks waitress?"

"Maybe," Milli said thoughtfully. She tapped her chin and paused for a moment, pretending to think. "Well I'm not sure, but there might be this one girl who might be interested, even though she was used to try and make that waitress jealous. She could be mistaken though. I mean, you did get rejected by a mere waitress," she teased.

"Hey! Don't call her that. For all you know, she could be an aspiring actress who you'll be working for one day," he teased back, enjoying the way everything just felt so comfortable when he was with Milli. He knew he didn't need to try and impress her because, honestly, he doubted she would fall for any of his tricks anyway.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
"I apologise. An aspiring actress who I will someday be working for rejected you," Milli corrected. "Does that soothe your ego?" she asked playfully. She didn't think he had a bad ego at all. Nothing wrong with wanting to feel good about yourself, although there are some places where the line needs to be drawn.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
"A bit," he said with a slight (fake) pout. The waitress walked over again and he shot Milli a smirk as he paid her and let her carry on with the rest of her night. "So, where to next?" He knew that it was about to pass curfew, but...he didn't really care. "Most places are closed by now, but the park is always open. As is the Shrieking Shack," he added teasingly because no one ever wanted to head up to that place.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
"As far as I know, no one has ever been able to get into the Shrieking Shack. But if you think you get us in," Milli says with a shrug. "Then by all means, let's go. But only if we get to go in. Otherwise we'll be staring at a collapsing building and that's no fun." The idea of breaking curfew and breaking into a haunted building was admittedly appealing, although certainly not as appealing as spending more time with Jesse.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
"Please," he scoffed as he stood up and offered out his hand to take Milli's. "In it, around it, over it, under it. The faster you learn there's nothing I can't do, the better," he told her with a grin as he led her out onto the street so they could make their way up to the Shrieking Shack.

Milli looked at Jesse's offered hand, then up at his face. She grinned, placed her hand his, and stood. "Well, I'm a fast learner," she assured him. And then they made their way Shrieking Shack.

Re: The Three Broomsticks
Pansy might break up with him if he ever tried to make her eat at Pudifoots. Besides, she likes the Three Broomsticks, it's nice and clean and has pretty good food. Agreeing with his suggestion, Pansy turned and walked with him down the street, sticking to the sides near the buildings because the wind wasn't quite as harsh there. Ducking inside the doorway to the Three Broomsticks, she edged around the main dining area, picking a table toward the back corner where she could keep a wall to her back. She didn't like not being able to see the people who were behind her, and by sitting in a corner with the wall at your back, that problem was solved. She slid all the way in to the booth, making room so that Draco could decide if he wanted to sit across from her or beside her.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Draco agrees completely with the idea of the wall against your back, it's the safest way to be. And it wasn't a actual choice where he was going to sit, he automatically slid into the booth next to her. Leaning back he slipped his hand into hers under the table and when the waiter came he took the menu and ordered himself a butterbeer. When she had ordered her drink he scooted a little bit closer to her and slid the menu between them, "So what do you want Kitten?"
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Pansy smiled as he sat beside her; she was secretly hoping that was where he would sit. She linked her fingers between his, moving to sit a little closer to him. She asked for a pumpkin juice and then glanced down at the menu. Sighing softly, she glanced it over for a moment before realizing nothing appealed. "Just get something you like and I'll steal a couple bites. I'm not hungry, really."
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Draco squeezed her hand and pressed a kiss to her cheek, "If you're sure. Just make sure you eat a little of something alright?" He waved the waiter back over and ordered some fish and chips as the man put down their drinks. Shifting he took his hand from hers and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, his other hand slipping in to hold hers, fingers twisting together again. "Want to talk?"
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Pansy nodded when he told her to make sure she ate something. She leaned into his side, shrugging slightly. "What about?" Though a little nervous what it could be about - not particularly wanting to discuss suitors or anything like that - she would talk about whatever he wanted to talk about. She was just glad he'd brought her back here, away from her home.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Draco shrugged, he had been thinking about this weekend but it was obvious from the way she was acting that she didn't. He leaned back and let her lean into his side, his hand gently rubbing her shoulder. "Anything, nonsense." He shrugged and looked around the pub, "Did you hear that Andi is dating Evan Rosier?" Draco had spoken to him about his intentions to marry Andi, so maybe this wasn't the best subject of conversation.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Pansy stared at the table as he talked to her, chewing anxiously on her lip. "I hadn't. I don't really talk to either of them, I suppose." She paused a few moments, slight jealousy welling up inside her. They probably got to choose to date and would get to marry eventually. Lucky bitch. "They'll make a nice match."
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Draco gave her a sad look and rested his head against hers, "I'm sorry Kitten." He turned his face and pressed a kiss to her hair, holding her in close, his fingers fiddling with hers. "I feel like every subject I think of ends up turned around and into something we don't want to think about."
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Pansy stayed rather still, only moving when his motions shifted her. Her eyes remained glued to the table, and she hardly blinked except when her eyes demanded it for fear of drying out. "I'm sorry. I guess I'm just managing to turn everything negative recently, so we can only really blame me for it." She turned her head a little, looking up at him with the saddest attempt at a smile yet. "Let's talk about something else, I'll try and stay cheerful, promise."
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Draco returned the sad smile and leaned down to give her a kiss, "Pans, if you're upset you don't have to pretend to be happy with me. If you're sad I want to know, just like I want to know when you're sick or hurting." He slipped his fingers from hers so he could wrap his other arm around her too. He didn't have words for what he really felt for her, he didn't want to label it as love, that word held too many expectations and demands, instead he knew names for parts of it: trust, passion, happiness. Only she could look at him and drive him wild, only she could make him want to drop what he was doing to follow her to the ends of the earth and as much as the feeling felt right he was terrified by it.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Something in her heart gave a tug at his words, something unbelievably comforted that he wouldn't want her to pretend to be happy if she wasn't, that he would want to know her true mood. Something about it made Pansy fall for him even harder, though she didn't exactly realize it was happening. She was in love with him, no way around that fact, but she didn't know it, at least not yet. She didn't have an answer for him, instead she simply let him put his arms around her and hold her close. It was nearing on three months for them, and while that felt like ages, it was really no time at all considering how long they've been friends. Pansy's stomach churned and she figured they only had about three months at the most left after this, before their parents would step in and end it, sending them their separate ways to become acquainted with their soon-to-be-spouses. Or at least Draco would. Pansy was running away then, leaving home, leaving the town, maybe even the country if she could manage it. Her fingers grasped feebly to his sleeve, but she sat up a little to look at him. "I don't know what I would do without you." Her voice grew quieter. "And it scares me, Draco."
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Draco held her close, his head resting against hers as he looked into her eyes, silent for a moment, his arms around her. He knew that he felt the exact same way, that if she was gone, and with her plan of running away it seemed like a possible future, it made him feel like his veins were filled with ice. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips, his hand moving up to cup her cheek. He didn't try to deepen the kiss, just pressing his lips to hers, trying to explain to her how he felt. He had never, and would never, be articulate about his emotions but he knew that he could show her. He had to be able to do at least that.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Pansy was worried at first that maybe she had said too much. Maybe she had gone too far and he didn't feel the same way and now he had nothing left to say to her. All her fears were pushed aside when he kissed her, his hand soft on her face and her eyes fell closed and she kissed him back just as gently. Draco always had turned to actions over words, and some things she supposed would never change. She thought about her conversation with Scorpius, and figured again that Draco probably wouldn't exactly ever say it, but he would make sure she knew one way or another. Her hand strayed up to his jaw, moving around to the back of his neck where her fingers curled into him, desperate to never need to let go.
Re: The Three Broomsticks
Draco's fingers pressed slightly against her cheek as her and he leaned into the kiss a little more, pressing against her but still not deepening this kiss. This wasn't about the passion between them, it wasn't about physical want or need, it was about the emotions. Though they had always been close being in a relationship had, obviously, changed everything between them. The trust they had built over the years, and destroyed and rebuilt this year, was deeper now and somehow much more personal if that even made sense. It was somewhat awkward sitting like this in the booth but he didn't care, he wanted her to know all of his, everything he was feeling, all the thing he himself didn't understand.
