Lavender walks in, wearing this. Wink

She smiles brightly when she spots Seamus. "Hey! What's up?" She had to keep reminding herself that this was not a date. This was just two friends hanging out. Yup.

Seamus's mounth dropped to the ground and he stared wide-eyed at Lav as she walked in. "Oh," he said shakely," h-hi!" He leaped up and drew out a chair for her to sit in. Oh, wait, that seems to boyfriendy/datey... oh well! "Here's the drinks! Still hot," he indicated the mugs on the table and took his own seat.

Lavender giggled when she saw Seamus' jaw quite literally drop. "Oh. Thanks!" She took a sip and grinned. "Mmm, yummy. So, how have you been?" She smiled at him over the top of her glass.

"Great!" he replied. "Caught up on everything finally. Mostly boring, but I did get a chance to talk to Dean." He took a sip, not mentioning that Dean was going through the same thing he was at one point, knowing it might upset Lavender a bit. "Anywho, and how about you?"

Lavender smiled. "I'm glad you got to talk to him." Her mind was instantly on gossip, but that could wait for now. "I've actually been surprisingly good. Been a lot less..I don't know, mopey I guess. I think Parvati's happiness is kind of rubbing off on me."

He grinned. "Still need to meet them. Seen them together, though. Nice looking couple." Cute was not a manly enough word, so "nice" had to make do. "I'm glad you're doing better. Ever since our talk I've popped out of my shell and doing fine. Actually making human contact." He chuckled before taking another sip. "So I do believe a thank you is in order," he smiled.

Lavender giggled, the old light returning to her eyes. "I think I should probably thank you as well." She raised her glass to toast Seamus, then took a sip. "Now onto business. I've been horribly deprived of gossip lately. So spill. What's up with Dean? Did Neville and that girl breakup? C'mon. I need to know these things."

"Yeah, Neville and his girl broke up. And," he leaned forward slightly, not wanting anyone else to hear in case Dean didn't want anyone to know. "Don't tell anyone. So, do you know that he likes Luna? Well he's told her a few times how he feels but he gets shot down. That recently happened again and now she's going on a date with some Ravenclaw dude. It's really bringing him down. He even almost left school."

Lavender, in fact, did not know that Dean had a thing for Luna. This was all news to her, and her mind was racing away. And since Lav and Dean don't get along in my head, she's already planning on telling a bunch of people. She leaned in close too, their faces were extremely close now. "Wow. Poor guy. Do you happen to know which Ravenclaw it was?" She needed to do some more digging. Find out how this date went with the two Ravenclaws. Maybe see if there's any sort of scandal she can make out of this. Yup, Lavender was back in full force.

Seamus leaned even closer, glancing quickly around the room, too wrapped up in her interest to stop himself from giving away his friend's secrets. "You can't tell anyone. I can't remember his name, but it did start with an R. Rath? Raf? Not entirely sure, but close enough."

Lavender nodded. "Rolf Scamander." She had extensive research on the Ravenclaws, well it was actually mostly from dating Louis, but whatever. "He's a total hottie. Sucks for Dean really." She sat back in her chair and looked thoughtful. "What we need..." She paused for dramatic effect. "We need to find something to take his mind off all that. And I'm not talking about his sissy drawings. I'm talking about a girl. Let's see, who's single around this joint?"

[Meanwhile, Dean is chasing after Lavender with a rolling pin in my head.]

"Yeah that's it." He gulped down half his drink. "A girl? I'm not sure about this...." He peered at Lavender, and caved in without her even having to say anything. "Who did you have in mind, then?"

Lavender cleared her throat and leaned back onto the table. "Well, with my recent absence, I don't really know who's single. But first I need to do an inventory of sorts to see which girls are available. Do you know his type? All I really know about him is that he draws and has sheep hair." One of Lavender's favorite things to do was try to hook people up, although most of the time it never works out, but she totally didn't care about that.

"I honestly have no idea," he said with a shrug. "I shut myself out, as you know, and still haven't caught up completely. There's probably no point in trying to hook him up anyway, he's pretty stuck on Luna." He paused. "Why are you so into finding him someone?"

Lavenders plan quickly changed. "Okay. Then we get Luna to forget about that loser and go for Dean." Little did she know that Luna and Dean were already on the fast track to making up again. "Are you serious? This stuff is like addicting to me. I need drama to survive. Well, not my own drama. Other people's drama. I don't know, it's like a drug. And besides, you want to help your friend, right? This way, everyone is happy." She shrugged like it was completely simple.

"I guess..." he said slowly, thinking things over. "Dean would probably like that... But maybe we shouldn't interfere. Besides, how do we even get her to forget that other guy? It's not like we can control minds. I'm sure she's stuck to him just like Dean is stuck to her. So if you can find a way somehow, then I'm in, because that will be true magic."

Lavender tsked as she reached out and put her hand over Seamus' "Honey, you have no idea how I work do you? Yeah, I know I'm all gossip and stuff. But what is gossip really? It's planting stories into people's minds. Making them believe things that may or may not be true. And I'm pretty good with words when I wanna be. All we need to do is plant a little story into someone's mind, nothing hurtful or anything like that. And then we just watch things unfold on their own." She sat back and took a sip of her drink.

[Well, Lavender could work for the Inception people >.>]

She made it sound so simple, and, coming from her, he was completely drawn into it. "I mean... I don't know... I guess... So long as it doesn't hurt anyone or anything or whatever," he said cautiously. "Nothing to big.. and I'd like to stay as close to the truth as possible."

[Saw that movie on the way home last night. MIND BLOWN. It was not a dream within a dream. It was a freakin dream within a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream. Can't even comprehend.]

Lavender nodded. "Of course. I don't want to hurt people, I promise." And that really was the truth. With how she had been feeling lately, she didn't really want to hurt anyones feelings. Sadly, with a love triangles someone did end up hurt. She just wouldn't think about that right now. "Okay. I'll hatch up some plan. Did you want to get anything to eat here?"

"Okay, good," he said, taking her word for it. "Uhm, not unless you wanted to go anywhere? I mostly just come here for a drink, never really had anything else. I'd be willing to go where ever." He smiled, hoping to skip the subject of Dean for a bit. "You look beautiful, by the way."

Lavender blushed. "Oh. Thank you! The nicer weather has put me in a really good mood. I was getting sick of sweaters and boring stuff. Um. Is there anywhere else you want to go? I'm cool with whatever you want to do." She finished off the last few sips of her drink then waited to see if Seamus wanted to go anywhere else.

"Er..." His mind flipped through everything, not sure which one to pick. "The park, maybe? It's quiet enough. Plus, it's getting warm outside an all so it should feel great. Is that okay with you?" He grinned and added, "Maybe it'll help you come up with a plan or something."

Lavender grinned widely. "That sounds perfect! Lead the way Mr. Finnigan." She giggled and stood from the table. "Usually my genius plans come to me at unexpected times. So sorry if I suddenly shout when the lightbulb goes off."

"It's fine," he got up and finished the last bit of his drink. "This way, m'lady," he gestured her forward and bowed slightly, refraining from taking her hand.

Harry walked into the three broomsticks, a little confused at how this was going to go. He really didn't want his son not to graduate hogwarts and was hoping to get some answers. He sat down at a table and ordered two butterbeers.
