"Cool." She didn't ask about his parents because it sounded like they were a delicate subject and she didn't want to ruin the peace of the afternoon. "Does your grandmum like to grow fruits and veg or flowers? My grandmum has a huge rose garden that I get put to work in every summer."

[Neville Longbottom]

"My Grandmum is a big fan of flowers but she grows the occasional fruit and veggie." He said nodding. "She always likes the have flowers in the house." He said with a light laugh. "I think she keeps so many flowers around so the house smells good and not like cats." He said with a shrug. "She has a lot of cats."

[Audrey Stevenson]

Audrey giggled, "Sometimes I wonder if old lady is synonymous with cats. I like flowers a lot but unfortunately I'm allergic to most of them. Roses and lilies are the only kinds that we can really have in the house, oh and tulips."

[Neville Longbottom]

Neville laughed slightly when she said the part about old ladies and cats. "Lilies are my favorite flower!" He said excitedly.

[Audrey Stevenson]

"Really? I think they're absolutely gorgeous. What's your favourite kind? I like panther lilies, the way their petals curl is just incredible to me."

[Neville Longbottom]

Neville blushed a bit and got kind of nervous. "I--I don't know what they are called." He said, red as a radish. "But they have the long petals, and they bloom really quickly, and the petals open really far." He said and nodded.

[Audrey Stevenson]

Audrey thought for a moment, "I think I know the type. My mom loves to keep large bouquets in the hallway and she's an incredible arranger."

[Neville Longbottom]

"Really?" He asked, turning his neck slightly to smile at her. "That's great. My grandmum just usually puts a bunch in a vase and then puts them on a table. Not really any sort of extravagant arrangement or anything."

[Audrey Stevenson]

"It's a bit of a hobby for my mom. She's normally a chemist so it's good for her to have something to do to relax in an evening." Audrey shrugged. Her parents both worked long hours and had odd hobbies.

[Neville Longbottom]

"Oh, well that's cool." he said, swinging his feet a bit with the swing. "So, we talked about what I do over summer holiday... What do you do?" He asked.

[Audrey Stevenson]

Audrey smiled at him, "Well I actually work at the local pool as a lifeguard and then I'm studying at a muggle school as well by correspondence so I work more on that in the summer when I have time." She giggled, "I sound so nerdy."

[Neville Longbottom]

Neville grinned at her and shook his head. "No...You don't sound nerdy at all! Not to me at least!" He says, a huge loopy grin on his face. "That actually is really cool!" He said smiling.

[Audrey Stevenson]

"Thanks! What it is that I'm doing is getting a muggle chemistry degree to go with my potions. I think that with combining the two I can do so much more." She smiled at him, "I guess that's why I'm a Ravenclaw, I just love to learn."

[Neville Longbottom]

He nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure combining the two similar subject will really broaden the amount of things you can do." He said and smiled at her. "Yeah, You seem like the perfect Ravenclaw!" He said with a grin. "Sometimes I wonder why I am in Gryffindor. I'm just not brave or courageous at all."

[Audrey Stevenson]

Audrey thought about it for a moment, "Well I don't really agree with that. I think there are certain standards to bravery that everyone sees as automatically brave but I don't think that that's all there is to bravery. Sometimes bravery and courage are as simple as just being yourself and being willing to do what you're interested in just like how you have this garden. Most guys would never want to do this, they might think it wasn't manly but you enjoy it and that's what makes you so interesting."

[Neville Longbottom]

Neville turned red as a quaffle. Yup. His face was hardcore red right now. "Oh, Well, Uhh, Thanks Audrey." he managed to get out, still really red.

[Audrey Stevenson]

Audrey smiled at him and thought it was adorable how red he was. "I don't think you see yourself the way others do, or at least I do. You're a great person Neville." HE IS SO CUTE I AM AWWING.

[Neville Longbottom]

Oh gosh, now Inner!Neville is even more red and now he is hiding under the couch. Thanks...last time he did this it took him a few days to get him out from under the couch. THANK YOU TAM. THANK YOU. He turned towards her and smiled, his face still extremely red. "Thanks Audrey." He said and smiled. "It means a lot to me that you said that." He said nodding, the color in his face not really fading at all.

AWWWWWWW Audrey wants to snuggle him under the couch. She's kinda sorta obsessed with him. Thanks Nev. Way to be adorable. "You're so very welcome." She leaned against the back of the swing and looked back out over the garden. Maybe it was time for a subject change to make him feel better. "So what's the hardest thing out here to grow?"

[Neville Longbottom]

Okay. Seriously. You are going to give Neville a heart attack. Pretty girl. Snuggle. That does not happen to this kid everyday. So if he dies of a heart attack. Blame yourself. He thought for a moment and then looked over at her, the color fading just ever so slightly, now more of a pink then a red. "Probably the pineapples." he said nodding. "They take a pretty long time to grow and they take a lot of upkeep." he said nodding.

He can't die. Then Audrey would be sad. She was glad he was relaxing a bit again. "So what made you chose to grow those in the first place? Aside from a challenge that is. And what's your favourite thing to grow?"

[Neville Longbottom]

"Well, I just really like pineapples." He said nodding. "And I got a pineapple cutter for my birthday so I thought, Why not?" He said with a little chuckle. "Hmm, My favorite thing to grow." He said thinking. "I can't choose. I love growing everything!"

[Audrey Stevenson]

"A pineapple cutter? That's so cool!" She smiled at his enthusiasm, "I know what you mean. Is there anything that you just can't get to grow here?"

[Neville Longbottom]

"Grapes." he said shaking his head. "I just can't get them to grow and it makes me so angry!" He said a bit dramatically, this was a sensitive issue.

[Audrey Stevenson]

"Really? Hmm interesting. Have you ever been to a vineyard? You could always ask them for help there." She was glad to see he had gotten over all the blushing.
