Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
I love you wifey! Goodnight!
Viktor just smiles and waits patiently for Hermione to return, before getting up to take her hand and walk back out onto the street with her. "Of course. I know just the place, actually," he says with a grin, glad that they have the entire day to spend here because he's pretty sure it's going to take a lot to get Hermione to leave their next location. In fact, it might take the entire two weeks to get her to leave.
They slowly make their way down the sidewalks, with Viktor telling Hermione about some of his places along the way, of course, until they eventually reach a rather large building. "The SS. Cyril and Methodius National Library. Most of the books are in Bulgarian, but I thought you might like to see Bulgaria's national library," he tells her with a big grin as they stop in front of the rather large library.

*giggles*
This is what springs to mind...
Hermione stops and stares at the building Viktor has escorted her to. She looks at the Library. She looks at Viktor. Back to the Library. Back to Viktor. Library. Viktor. Library. Viktor. A huge, face-splitting grin breaks across her face and she launches her arms about his neck in a tight hug. "Thank you," she almost squeals, not stopping to think that some people would find it odd - the only thing she gets girly about is a Library, not fashion or makeup or boys, or anything most girls would consider worth the excitement. She kisses Viktor's cheek, pulls away, and practically drags him into the building behind her.

...ARE YOU CALLING VIKTOR THE BEAST!? *dies*
Viktor wants to know why straight guys complain about girls being complicated. He doesn't see that at all. He knows Molly, who liked Kingsley and told him so. And Hermione just kissed him over a library. Where is it that things get complicated? Maybe it's easier when you're gay and don't feel anything romantic towards those girls.Just wait Viktor, Hermione will show you complicated once you realice you're not so gay after all. "I thought you might like that," he said with a wide grin as he allowed Hermione to drag him into the building. For some reason, he figured that she would end up being the tour guide this time.

Viktor... will learn soon enough about the complicatedness of girls. Indeed. Hermione herself is marveling at how easy it is to get along with boys when they're gay and clearly have no romantic feelings for girls and anything sexual is not even a consideration. Hermione leads Viktor into the Library and pauses at the map. Concentrating hard, she reads the Bulgarian to herself with only a couple of stumbles and is soon confidently leading Viktor towards a section she hopes he might like. "I know there's no quidditch books here, but I thought you might like to see the sports section anyway," she whispers, because she wants him to enjoy himself too.

Oh...He'll let Hermione be the judge of that XD
Viktor beams and leans down to kiss Hermione on the forehead. He had brought her to what he thought would be her favorite place, and the first thing she had done was take him to a section for him to enjoy. "Thanks. You didn't have to, you know. I brought you here for your own bookly needs." Bookly is a word. Yep. "Though, I vouldn't mind reading more about that sport Trd taught me...Football, I think it vos."

Hermione smiles, enjoying the now-familiar comfort of Viktor's lips against her cheek. "Well, you know me - I'll find something to read anywhere." Bookly is a cool word. "Alright, let's see if we can find a book on football, even though I have no earthly clue what the Bulgarian word for it is," she says softly, her eyes scanning the shelves almost randomly as she waits to see if a familiar word pops out at her somewhere to give her a clue.

Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
"Vell, it's pronounced the same," he told her, though of course the Bulgarian language is nothing like English when written. He glanced at some of the books before finally finding a book on the new sport Ted had taught him. He gently pulled it off the shelf and glanced at the cover for a moment, before smirking up at Hermione. "Alright. Quiz time. Any idea vot the cover of this book says?" he asks as he holds up the book that reads, 'Learning the Ways of Football' in Bulgaria. Creative book title, eh?

Way creative and stuff. Hermione's eyes light up - she loves a challenge. Brow furrowed in concentration, she reads the title. "Uhm. I think that first word is 'learning'? And then there's.... Oh, I don't know, I can't get that middle part. And I'm honestly just guessing here but I'm presuming the last word is 'football', so I'm pretty sure the title says something like 'Learning something football'? Maybe 'Learning about football' or 'Learning to play football'?" She falls into relative silence, muttering under her breath about linguistic constructs and vowels and the like.

Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
Viktor smiles proudly as Hermione tries to figure out the title, greaming at how close she got to the right answer. "Close," he grinned. "Learning the vays of football. You really have been vorking on your Bulgarian," he comments, sounding obviously impressed. If only he could be as fast as Hermione when it came to learning how to pronounce her name correctly.

Hermione huffs, annoyed with herself for the easy mistake. "How could I have been so stupid? 'Ways'! It's so simple, so obvious. At this rate I'll be barely literate in Bulgarian by the time we leave, never mind ever being able to speak it," she berates herself. Erm, yeah. Hermione's a bit hard on herself at times, apparently.

Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
Viktor frowns and lightly places his fingers on Hermione's chin to tilt her head up. "Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. It's not an easy language to learn. And you're already doing so vell, which is quite a compliment coming from somevon who has trouble pronouncing his best friend's name," he joked, feeling bad that Hermione doesn't realize how brilliant she is.

"It was a simple mistake," Hermione insists, but she relents and a smile flickers over her face. "I still say I like the way you say my name," she confesses, blushing. "It's grown on me, you know. I don't know why," she shrugs.

Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
Viktor smiled shyly, not admitting that he hates the way he says her name. Especially when talking to someone else who knew Hermione. He didn't like doing things wrong and it always bothered him when people corrected him on her name. If he was her best friend then wouldn't they know that he obviously knows what her name is? It's not his fault that he can't exactly pronounce it correctly, no matter how many times he practiced. "Vell, you must really like me if you're able to put up vith it," he said with a soft smile. "I still vish I could get it at least close to vot your name actually is. My best friend...And I can't even get her name right."

Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
Hermione shakes her head and wraps her arms about Viktor's waist in a cuddle. "Now who's being tough on themselves?" she teases in a whisper. "Now come on, let's wander aimlessly among the shelves and stare at all the books!" She pulls away and leads him through the stacks by the hand, occasionally pausing to test herself and ask if she's translated a word correctly, or asking Viktor to explain a completely unfamiliar word to her.

Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
Viktor walks through the stacks with Hermione, beaming proudly at how well she's learned Bulgarian so far. It's not an easy language to master, though he isn't too surprised. She is Hermione, after all. "How long have you been practicing Bulgarian?" he asked in awe. Sure, he had learned English fairly quickly but that was only because he was Viktor Krum. He could easily hire people to teach him. Hermione had been learning a new language on her own, while still managing to keep her grades perfect.

Hermione flushes slightly and shrugs. "How long ago did you invite me? A couple of weeks... I'd gotten a book before that, but it wasn't until I knew I was coming that I really made the time to read it as a matter of priority. I'll get better," she promises earnestly, hoping he understands that she's so hard on herself because it's important to her to do this not only for her own learning, but for her best friend.

"Just a few veeks? Impressive. You really do know how to outdo yourself, Herm-own-ninny. Bulgarian isn't an easy language, you know. Most people vouldn't have gotten as far as you have by now," he told her, hoping she would just how amazing he already thought she was.

Hermione shrugs again, though she can't hold back the smile at the praise. "I just wish I could speak it, just a little." She doesn't want to seem rude in front of Viktor's parents, it would be nice if she was at least capable of exchanging pleasantries in Bulgarian.

Re: Sofia, Bulgaria
Viktor sighed dramatically before speaking again. "If only you had a Bulgarian friend who just so happened to be fluent in the language to help you out," he said, shaking his head as if wondering how on Earth Hermione would ever find a guy like that.

Viktor can be a tough teacher. He won't let Hermione rest until she gets it right. They might have to stay up all night long. "I'm sure he vouldn't need much convincing if you vere friendly enough. And if he knew vot a brilliant student you'd be, then I'm sure he vould volunteer in a heartbeat."

Oh, Hermione likes to get things right. She'll make him stay up with her while she practices again and again and again. "Hmm, what could I possibly do to be considered 'friendly enough', I wonder?" she says teasingly, and because she is Hermione, and she is with Viktor, she is being completely and utterly innocent right now.

Viktor is still in 'gay' mode so he doesn't think anything dirty of his best friend, who happens to be female, asking how to be 'friendly enough.' "No clue. This guy might charge you for these Bulgarian lessons. Hopefully you find a nice guy that'll be kind enough to do it for free," he teased in reply.
