She frowned "Too cold? Not...really..." she didn't understand why Dean was acting so strange. She thought he might actually like her costume, it was pretty legit. But whatever, she concentrated on his costume, "Yea, it's brilliant! I like it" she smiled, "it totally fits you."

[Dean Thomas]

Dean suddenly felt very warm. Again, he cleared his throat and tried to forget whatever the heck was wrong with him. He gave a very proper bow then held out his arm. "May I escort you to the festivities this evening?" He was using his best regal voice, of course.

[Angela Braddock]

She giggled and mock curtsied in her tiny skirt. "You may kind sir" she replied in her most proper voice. "I had hoped to find a gentleman of respectable nature to bring me to these festivities" she managed to get out before a fit of laughter consumed her because of the absurdity.

[Dean Thomas]

Dean quickly joined in the laughter and led Angela to a nearby bench. He sat and patted the seat for her to join. Then he pulled a flask from his pocket and shook it in front of her. "Firewhiskey. How about a little a little best friend time before we're surrounded by a bunch of people?" He smiled and held the flask out if she wanted any.

Ange's eyes widened and got really grabby "Gimme! I want someee" she laughed. "I like best friend time. especially when it gets me free alcohol" she winked at him.

[Dean Thomas]

Dean laughed and was glad he decided to bring two flasks. He pulled the other one out and clunk it to Angela's. "Cheers then. And I'm just saying now, if any guy tries anything with you tonight, it's not my fault for anything that may grow on his face." With that he took a large swig and felt the burn down his throat.

Ange raised the glass in cheers before making a face as she took a swig "Hey now. I want to have some fun tonight, is that not allowed? Not that I have my eye on anyone in particular, but if a guy wants to dance with me or something, I think I have a perfect right to make my own decisions right?"

[Dean Thomas]

Dean held his hands up in surrender. "Hey. Nothing wrong with that. I just mean if they are impolite and try anything inappropriate. Probably good you don't have your eye on anyone though. I will probably need a babysitter. Remember the last time I drank at a party? Well, of course you do. It's me that doesn't remember the details. I do remember making friends with a really nice lamp though..." He trailed off and took another drink.

She rolled her eyes and laughed "How could I NOT remember the last time...pretty sure you ended up in your boxers running around the grounds singing a Celestina Warbeck song at the top of your lungs. This was, of course, after you tried making out with the lamp." She shook her head and smiled. Playing babysitter wasn't EXACTLY how she imagined her night going, but she wasn't one to let her best friend get himself into trouble if she could help it. "Just try not to do something stupid if it looks like I'm hitting it off with a guy, please." she grinned, taking another swig.

[Dean Thomas]

Dean almost choked on his drink. That was classic of him. "Ah. Good times I'll never remember. And fine fine. I'll be on my best behavior. And if Seamus decides to show up, I relieve you of any and all babysitting duties. I know it's impossible to do anything once him and I are together." He took another large swig and could already begin to feel his insides get tingly.

She sighed in exasperation, thinking of all the havoc those two could wreak when they were together, especially drunk. "Oh Merlin help us all if you two both get drunk tonight. Just no more elaborate Halloween schemes. I'd like to make it through this one" she laughed. Though if Seamus were to show up, who knows, maybe she could actually end up meeting a guy and having a little fun.

[Dean Thomas]

Dean was already planning many Halloween related pranks he and Seamus could do, but Ange didn't have to know that. "Hmm? Oh right. No. No shenanigans from us. Not even sure if he's coming. I think I saw a rainbow earlier. He probably had to go protect a pot of gold or something." He shrugged a little.

[Angela Braddock]

She let out a loud laugh "Right. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll save us some." She took another drink. "Oh wait. Leprechaun gold disappears. Damn." she snapped her fingers and laughed.

[Dean Thomas]

Dean laughed once. "Or maybe he's got some magic leprechaun powers that make it real? I'll ask him sometime. And drink up missy! I feel like a complete alcoholic right now. My flask is almost gone. Ah well, nothing a quick replenishing charm can't fix." He pulled his wand out of his afro and tapped the flask, he had gotten quite good at non-verbal spells. Once his flask was full again, he replaces his wand back in his hair.

Ange laughed and downed the rest of her flask and held it out for Dean to refill it, feeling a little giddy. "You should you should!" she nodded vigorously. "Can we go to the party yeeett? I wanna dance with boys." she grinned

Dean laughed and pulled his wand out again, filling Ange's flask back up. "Fine fine. You better save a few dances for me too! I will be extremely offended if you dance with other boys all night." He took another large drink, knowing he'd need it if he was suppose to be a good friend and not be over protective of Angela.

[Angela Braddock]

Ange shrugged and downed a good third of the flask. "We'll see, if you're lucky" she winked, jokingly. "No worries there though, I'm sure there won't be a whole lot of guys lining up to dance with me. But who knows? New year, new Angela" she said, in a slight seductive tone, to no one in particular.

[Dean Thomas]

Dean was staring at Angela in shock. What the hell was that? He had never heard her talk like that before. And why was his neck suddenly very hot. He forced himself to look away so he didn't start gawking at her. He clears his throat. "Right. Well. I guess we'll have to get there to see." He stood and offered his hand to help her up. He was suddenly in a hurry to get around more alcohol.

She shook her head, startled out of her reverie. "Wha? Right." she grinned and placed her hand in Dean's, popping up out of her seat. "Let's get this party started bestie!" she laughed

Dean didn't hold onto to Ange's hand like he may have done in the past. He was feeling weird, and it had nothing to do with the alcohol. He lead the way slowly, fighting the urge to just run there. So they made it to the party and had a jolly good time. Dean got wasted and ended up in just his boxers again.

Gently, he set her down on the ground and put an arm around her shoulders, making sure she could keep her balance. "As long as you can walk we'll be fine. And running would be a very bad idea so let's just take it slow okay?" Turning around he walked her towards the door, shutting it after them and looking at the lock, "What spell did you use to get this undone? There's no damage to it at all." Clicking it shut he pulled on it, trying to get it back open again and failing. As they headed back through the village his arm dropped from around her and they walked side by side along the narrow lane back towards the lights of the castle. As they walked in she headed towards the dungeons and he grabbed her arm, pulling her back towards the passageway to the kitchen. "Come on this way, you said you wanted food."

[Violet Lockwood]

Violet only grinned up at him when he asked what charm she used. "I have my ways, Wally," were the only words of explanation she gave him as they moved back up toward the village. She had rather enjoyed the warmth that his arm had provided, and the stabilization as well, and found herself half disappointed when he removed it as they made their way down the street of Hogsmeade. They stepped back into the warm brightness of the castle, and the great hall seemed to be mostly empty as far as she could tell. Turning toward the dungeons to go back down to their common room, she was a bit confused at first when he grabbed her arm and took her a different way. "Well, they could bring stuff to us, couldn't they? Besides, I don't even know where the kitchens are." She made a wonderful pout face, made even more wonderful by her drunkenness. "And won't they get mad because I'm more than slightly hammered? I mean come on!" The entire time she was rambling, she was simply following him through the castle, not really even fighting back or pulling away from him. So much for arguments against going. "Waaaalllllyyyyyy..."
