She looked so adorable, and innocent, sitting like that ~~though we all know she's not that innocent~~ and he felt like he should have probably just kept it to himself, but he did enjoy seeing her face getting all red sometimes. Made him wonder what was going on in the head of hers. "I'm not making it up love. Shall I just not tell you what else you said then?" He put his arm around her shoulder and kissed her cheek.

*Hermione ~~who was totally innocent before Remus came along and deflowered her by the lake on Valentine's Day~~ blushes harder. As curious as she is to know what other wicked little schemes her mind has been dreaming up (literally, it seems), she's not going to come out and just ask Remus what else she said. Because that would be awkward. She leans into the arm around her.*

Erm.... yeah.... nothing against peanut butter, because I do love it, but let's just never speak of it again. Deal?

Remus thinks that's utterly ridiculous. There's no way she was totally innocent. Not at their age. She had to be thinking about this sort of thing even then...well, maybe not food related, but sex in general. >.> kissed her forehead and grinned. "Deal. Now, shall we get out of here or do you want to stay a bit longer?"

*Hermione ~~refuses to dignify these slanderous attacks on her virtuous character with a response~~ unlocks her arms from around her knees and stretches out her legs before turning to give Remus a kiss. She holds up one hand out of the water for the wrinkle-test. She fails - her fingers are shriveled up like little prunes, which is a good image, because we've finally struck upon an unsexifiable food there. She sighs.*

I'm going wrinkly, so I guess we'd better get out...

Remus laughed and reached for the towels. "Sounds like a plan." He handed her a towel before getting out and wrapping one around his waist. Then he went and got dressed, afterward heading over to the doorway to wait for her to finish.

*Hermione climbs out of the tub, starting to actually feel a little bit ~~more~~ ungraceful ~~than usual~~ and realises that as the baby gets bigger, it's only going to get worse and she should just get used to it. But maybe she should take up jogging again, just to be on the safe side...*

*She towels off and wanders around the bathroom, picking up her discarded clothing from all sorts of interesting locations, where they had landed after she'd thrown them off. Finally, she's dressed and joining Remus over by the door, stretching up on her toes to kiss him quickly.*

[Posting this now, as Blansy is taking too long to actually finish and I am avoiding writing my paper. Timeturners, yes? This is happening right after Blansy finishes, just for reference.]

Pansy walked into the showers rather slowly, deep in thought with her arms wrapped around her as if to hold herself together. She turned the water on and stripped down, stepping into the downpour and letting it stream over her face. This was not what she had expected. She had thought she could love Blaise, she thought this could have gone somewhere and been something real. She thought he could help her forget Draco, he could love her like she ought to be loved. But she'd realized by now that she could never be comfortable with Blaise. She couldn't let herself go with him, couldn't let him control her. She knew she couldn't keep using Blaise like this. It wasn't fair to him, and it wasn't fair for her. She'd have to talk to him. The sooner, the better, as much as she wasn't looking forward to it. As soon as all remnants of sweat and chocolate were washed down the drain, she dried off and redressed, heading to the common room. No time to waste, or she'd lose her confidence. She'd go soft and give him yet another try. And she couldn't do that to him.

*Hermione slams into the showers, eyes still blurred with tears from what happened in the kitchens with Remus, and heads into the nearest stall. She turns the water on as hard as it can go, and as hot as she can safely have it, discards her clothing, and steps under the spray. Moments later, she sinks to the floor as confusion overwhelms her, sobs racking her body. She's so confused. She doesn't know what she's done to make Remus upset with her, make him stop... and she doesn't know why she was so upset... She curls up in a ball, wrapping her arms around her knees as the water pounds over her body.*

Thank merlin for the map. Remus had spotted Hermione's name and had quickly left, heading for the showers. He stood in the doorway of the showers debating whether he should go in or not. If she was angry at him...he didn't want to stress her out more by showing up when he was unwelcome, but he wasn't going to just be a coward about this either. He went in and quickly found the stall she was in. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, he opened the door and quietly walked in, shutting the door behind him. She was curled up letting the water hit her roughly. He slipped his shirt off and tossed it over the stall door so it wouldn't get wet, then he sat down next to her. He ran a hand roughly through his hair again, it was getting soaked already, and sighed. "Look, love, I'm not upset with you. I thought you were upset with me. I thought...you were mad at me. The other reason I stopped was...well it was ridiculous, that's what it was. I...was angry at letting the wolf take control. I wanted to have the bloody control and it angered me when I was losing it. I know it's futile but I honestly can't help but try. I hate it when he takes over. It's not any fun. I didn't mean to upset you. Honest. I'm sorry."

*Still sobbing, she uncurls long enough to crawl into his lap, before tightening back into her little ball. With nothing to cling to, she rests her hand flat on his chest, her face buried in his neck as the water slides over them together.*

I'm sorry. I don't kn-kn-know what's wrong with mmmme. Everything is s-so out of control r-r-r-right now and I'm so scared... I don't know w-w-what I'm doing, Remus - don't know how to make it all work and I'm so tired.

Remus wrapped his arms around her tightly, one hand resting on her back, the other on the back of her head. He felt ill and bit his lip nervously. He couldn't stand to see her like this, and all he could keep thinking was that if they'd only been more careful that night...they wouldn't be in this situation right now. It was obviously tough on her, he wouldn't doubt that at all. The stuff they'd both been through with this...he wouldn't be surprised if she started regretting it. There was that nagging voice back in the back of his head again, always making him question whether she was truly happy with their current situation or not... He had to be strong for her though. Couldn't be weak, she needed him and he was going to do his best not to let her down. Even though he already had probably a lot.

"It's alright, love. Everything's going to be alright. There's nothing wrong with you. You're just tired and under a lot of stress right now. I shouldn't have...I shouldn't have teased you and acted like that back in the kitchens. It was horrible of me. Ssh, it's alright, love." Merlin, I'm so sorry for this.
