Draco stared down at her and froze in the semi-awkward silence. Semi-awkward because, one, normally this pause would be recognized as second guessing and therefore Draco would not go forward with it and, two, it wasn't that awkward because they were both drunk and had no real thought process. Draco felt her lips against his as he pondered this and frowned when she pulled away. He visibly pouted before he let gently pulled her face back to his and crushed his lips on hers. He didn't care about anything else at that moment except snogging Granger.

*she lets him kiss her again, enjoying the warmth of contact she's been missing for so long and sliding her hands up over his shoulders. the angry voice in the back of her head, the one insisting that without Remus this is all wrong, is losing its power - she imagines herself pushing a mute button and it's gone, leaving her head blissfully empty for the first time in days. she remembers back to the dance, to all the silly things Draco had said when he was under the love potion, and his promise to make her howl pops into her mind. she giggles against his lips*

Draco's hand finds itself tangled into Hermione's hair as he desperately pulls her close to him, not wanting to part his lips from hers. He pulls away once to whisper in her ear, "Maybe we should find somewhereeee else, Hermyyyy!" Before nibbling lightly on her ear, moving to kiss her cheek, then down to her neck. He didn't even think about anything. His mind had gone completely blank except for the immense amount of desire to hold Hermione in his arms and let their lips stay intertwined.

*there's not a single thought left in her brain, which really is a first for her, and it takes her a few minutes before she realises that they can't get up and stay kissing at the same time. it makes her sad a little, because the warmth of his mouth against her skin is more amazing than she thought it would be... not that she'd ever thought of being with Malfoy, of course... nope, never! but finally she manages to tear herself away long enough for them to stumble to their feet, giggling and unsteady. she grabs his hand and charges off into the night, away from the sounds of the party that's starting to make her head hurt*
