Anyway, my brother and I were discussing the companions (as you do on the way home from school), and we realised that all of them, except for Rose, have already been in the show. Martha was in the episode 'Army of Ghosts' (I don't think she was in 'Doomsday' as well, but I may be wrong), but she wasn't Martha - she appeared as a techie working on the wall between dimensions at Torchwood 1 (apparently Martha Jones has a cousin who worked there who was completely identical to her - who knew?). Donna, of course, was in the Runaway Bride. Duh. And Amy, before she was Amy, was a Sybilline Sister in the episode 'Fires of Pompeii'. She followed the Doctor and Donna around...

Also, Gwen (from Torchwood, and in the end of Season 4) and Gwenyth are related (and both played by Eve Myles), and Tosh is in the DW episode 'Aliens of London' with the Slitheen and the pig monster, as her own character (presumably before she was recruited to Torchwood).

And this is what me and my brother talk about when we drive...
