We're good. Learning how to, you know, talk things through and all that. It's scary sometimes, and I still for the life of me can't figure out why he bothered to stick around, but I've got this feeling. Like we're going to be ok, like we'll make it somehow...

*she doesn't say anything - just keeps watching Hashbee sleep. this little person on the blanket in front of her is the best reminder of why she doesn't want to drink anymore. she wants to be the best aunt she possibly can, and she thinks the next time she wants to give in to temptation, the first thing she'll picture is Hashbee's sleeping face and tiny hands, and it will bring her back to reality*
