Severus looked at her in horror, never realizing she'd apparently dealt with some of the stuff he had at home. He grabs her arm and looks at it, apalled that someone could hurt her like this, for something as simple as crying, when she so badly needed to. "I can heal this," he said, getting out his wand. "Merlin, Pansy... Why did you never tell me?"

Pansy looked back at the fire and pulled her arm away half-heartedly. "I'm fine." Finally, a tear slid down her cheek, the very thing she'd been trying for this whole time. She needed to get everything that was welling up inside her out, and crying seemed the easiest way right now. How terribly ironic, when she spent most of her life trying to never cry. "I've broken whatever fragile thing there might have been between Draco and I, and I don't think I can ever fix it now. There's no amount of action or words that could mend this." She ignored elaborating on her arm.

Severus feels horrible for her, more so since he was quite aware how useless he was, since there was nothing he could do or say to make it better. Doing the only thing he knew to do, he held her close, whispering to her. "It's okay, Pansy. Nobody else is here to see you. It's okay to cry," he said softly, trying to do his best to help her.

Pansy hid her face in his chest, fighting it only for a moment until her shoulders shook uncontrollably. She was past the point of return now, crying like she'd never allowed herself to before. Everything had fallen apart, and she knew it was completely her fault, and that crying could make it no worse. Physical pain was nothing compared to this.

Severus is seriously shocked, and quite honestly frightened, at seeing Pansy like this. He didn't think it was possible, for someone like her, to break down like this. It was always Severus who fell apart, who broke out sobbing, unable to keep it bottled in, to be strong, to be brave, like Pansy. He held her tightly, feeling her pain, wishing he could do more to help her, but knowing this was what she needed.

Pansy tried to contain herself, to stop crying and steel herself once again. Every time she thought she was finished, she remembered Draco's final words to her, or had a momentary memory of what happened with Blaise, and the tears made their way back. She'd done this to herself, and she couldn't see how Draco would forgive her. He wouldn't and that's all there was to it. Finally she stemmed the flow of tears and sat up, wiping her face. "Sorry..."

[-has just realized that this would totally be the perfect lead into Paneverus, as he's totally miserable, and they could get drunk, or not, actually, but doesn't know if she really wants to do that-]

Severus hushed her, frowning. "Don't you dare apologize. You've done me no wrong," he said quietly, wiping away her tears with his thumb, and kissing her on the cheek. "Even the strongest of us need this, every once in a while, Pansy," he said, continuing to wipe away her tears.

[It would, but I don't think Pansy would go for it, seeing as she has just killed everything with the love of her life, and being with someone else is essentially the last thing on her mind right now.
Plus, I'm not sure if we're going to actually kill of Panco since Connor isn't going to be on much, or if they're going to be okay yet again after they have a good shouting match... I don't know.]

Pansy turned her face away from him, ashamed. She wiped her eyes roughly and told herself to suck it up, that she'd cried enough for a year by now. "I think it's over, Sev. He hates me, and rightly so." Her mind couldn't escape him, couldn't erase how he'd looked at her before he'd rushed out of the room.

"No. It's not rightly so. He's done far worse to you, and that's not okay," he said. He's done the same to you, in fact. With me. "This isn't right of him. I need to talk to him. I don't care if he's my friend, nobody has the right to do this to you. He's being hypocritical and nasty and this just isn't okay."

Pansy turned to him, her brows furrowed. "He wasn't sober when he did that he did! I think it's beyond repair at this point."

Severus had no argument for that- he hadn't been sober, and neither had Severus, though he knew she meant Hermione. "Pansy... don't give up. Please. Let me find him, let me talk to him. There's got to be more to this," he said, standing up to look for Draco.

"There's no more, there can't be," she said, to herself since Severus was gone. "It's over. That's all." She curled up on the couch and stared at the fire, not wanting to move for three days at least.

Severus finally shows up, and smiles when he sees Narcissa. It's clear he's been attempting to make himself look halfway decent, but looks like he's just about given up on any hope that he can make himself look any better without polyjuice potion. He doesn't look terrible, at least, for once, like he has the last few times he's been around Narcissa, what with him being a wreck. He walks over to her and puts his arm around his waist. "You look wonderful," he said with a genuine smile- he meant it, too. "Sorry I'm late. Shall we?" he asked, gesturing at the door.

Pansy came in the common room, circling around the outside of the room to avoid the few that had stayed away from the gala, or left early like she had. She went over to the circle of couches and sat down, kicking off her shoes and putting her feet up on the coffee table. She reaches up and attempts to pull her hair loose, only to get it a little stuck and find herself wanting to cut it short again, like she used to wear it before.

Pansy curled up on the couch, wrapping her arm behind a pillow and resting her head on it. Without really meaning to, she fell asleep there, still in her dress.

[Someone fun should wake her in the morning. And by fun, I mean awkward. Like, Blaise or Sev or someone. Yeah. *will be on at 8ish tomorrow, which is like, 1pm Lucy's time, and super early east coast time...]

Blaise strolled down with a banging headache from drinking too much at the gala. He sat down on the couch landing on Pansys leg. "Wht the fu-...Oh." Luckily he headn't woken her. He looked down at her. She was so beautiful. Radient even. She looked so peacful and serene. He bend down and brushed a hair away from her face, conjuring a blanket he laid it over her. HE went to leave but walked into the table, "OH M Y FUCKING MERLIN, HOLY SHIT FUCK-"

Pansy whimpered in her sleep as someone shouted in the room, waking up a little bit. Her eyes fluttered open and she sat up, at first confused why she saw the common room rather than her dormitory. "What the-" she mumbled, but then she saw Blaise falling over the table. "Why are you here?" She asked him, almost as if this was her own bedroom rather than the common room, and no one else should be present. She realized she was still in her dress from the sucky ball last night and pulled it back up on her shoulder.
