Reg is a pureblood mud statue who has no bloody idea what a television is, much less Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He looks up, shocked at the rather strange but very intimidating looking creature that had just appeared before him. "Uh, hello, Djinn, did you say? Wait, did you just call me a sexy mud statue? "

"Because you're a mud statue. That's what humans are. Beings made from a bit of mud, a breath of life and water and iron. Simple being but so complex and good looking" He started to check Regulus out with his eyes, but then stopped. "Anyway, you wizards are so out of the times. I was really hoping you'd get that reference. Guess not." He sighed and started to make his shadow dance in a corner.

Regulus sat up, looking at him curiously, most definitely intrigued. "So, we both know I'm human, apparently, but what the hell are you?" he asked, thoroughly perplexed but most certainly interested. "And is that your shadow dancing?"

"Hmm? Oh, yeah. Stupid thing gets bored, at least he hasn't tried to save that damn thing named Millicent Bulstrode again...she's killed two of my shadows already. Poor blighters." he paused and sized Regulus up, his mirror eyes glinting with light from the fire place. "You can refer to me as a god on earth." Pausing he scratched the back of his head. "Well not really. I'm just not human. I'm more. I have much more muchness than you do. It's great because i can look down on you and make deals for wishes and stuff. Amusing."

Regulus looked at him with amusement from behind the hair that had fallen in front of his eyes. "Oh? I'd imagine that such an esteemed being as yourself would have more interesting and important things to do than interact with such lowly 'mud statues' as myself," he replied sarcastically. "Though I don't doubt you enjoy the 'looking down' bit. Though everyone does that, I'm short, see?"

But, i made friends with the Ravenclaw Prefect Joel, when he opened up my summoning bottle and tried to use me to kill everyone at Hogwarts to make the mother of all horcruxes." he does the 'spirit fingers' "So i'm here because i find you guys interesting. And after sharing a body and mind with Joel for so long i seem to have grown attached to you all." He looked Reg up and down. "And you're not short. Just funsized. And you're hot. So it's all good."

Djinn gaped at the hot mud statue. Whaaaaat? "You're a Slytherin and you don't know what a horcrux is...?" He looks round confused. "am i in the right plotline here?" He reached back and scratched the back of his head again and grinned, Sora style. "I guess i could tell you...for a price."

He shot Regulus a Look "I'm male." He stood up, and walking over to the corner picked up his shadow which shaped itself to be like a cat. Petting it, he continued. "And you have a point. Why they aren't in Hufflepuff is beyond me. I mean really?" He leaned further in. "And a horcrux just might be the darkest magic you can do, passed making Inferi and summoning demons. It's that blasphemous and horrible. And it ruins you, in the end."

No. It would utterly rip your soul into pieces, since that's the whole point of it." He paused again and assessed Regulus' mind, a circle of red appearing around his pupils as he did so. "And there's always the price...which i need to think of."

"Okay. This might hurt though..." Lifting up his right hand, he watched in cold satisfaction as his fingers and fingernails grew to they're true devil's length (like in my avatar ---> ). Jumping across the small distance left, he thrust his hand into Regulus' chest. "Sorry, love, if it hurts. But i'm going to give you your proof."

Straining, he pulled, and the beginnings of an orb of (what colour ? just say in your post) light appeared. "See, souls are real. Isn't it beautiful? They're always so beautiful..."

Regulus gasped, glad that the pain had receded as he stared at the disturbingly bright and purple light displayed before him. "Indeed," he breathed, trying not to faint from shock.

He moved back, smacking his left hand against the back of his right (which was now back to normal) pushing the soul back into place. "Now, a horecrux tears that into pieces. I have no idea why a wizard would want to do that to himself. It's horrible." he shivered. "It's sad, ruining such beauty with dark magic. You have a really beautiful soul, by the way." I'll be really disappointed in you if you continue to ask how a horecrux is made. "I'm not going to make you pay for the proof. The pain it caused should be enough." He rubbed his hands, and held them out to the fire because all of a sudden he was cold, inside and out. The thought of a wizard mutilating his soul was that disturbing.

He wilted. Almost literally, he wilted; his hair seemed to flatten and his eyes dulled. "You still want to know? Fine." he tired to hide the all too human disappointment in his voice but being around these worthless, self hurting, depraved things made it hard. "You murder someone. Then as your soul is breaking, since to kill another human is against nature itself and therefore one of the most despicable acts that you could ever do, you cast a spell and hide the piece of your soul in an object. It makes you immortal. One of the most horrid ways to achieve immortality."

Looking off into the fire, he reached out and a flame shot forward and danced in his palm. Darkening, it began to hiss and chant with a voice of it's own. Soon it was a blood red fire, hellish figures and monsters dancing in the flames. "There's only two ways to destroy a horcrux. By Fiendfyre or by basilisk venom. Or the very hard way of remorse."

Djinn was getting pissed. Fuck the wilting, static electricity started to dance in his hair although of course the human wouldn't notice. "Yeah. It's one of the many things that can grant you immortality." he was so hoping Regulus would ask what other things would grant it, but from the way he seemed so intrigued by the idea Djinn didn't think he would. But he could hope.
