*Hermione and Remus wander in, hand in hand, and look around*

I still don't really know what I want, but hopefully something will jump out at me...

[Remus Lupin]

He laughs, "Well hopefully something doesn't literally jump out at you."

*giggles*

Well as long as it's something friendly....

*bypasses the owls*

I don't think I want an owl - I can use the school owls to send letters anyway, so it wouldn't be useful, and you can't hug an owl.

[Remus Lupin]

"That makes sense." He follows along and smiles at the rats cause they remind him of Peter.

[Molly Prewett]

The Crups are cute, but they're not safe for Muggles, which means I could never take them home...

*pats one, then bypasses them*

[Remus Lupin]

He nods and continues to tag along looking at all the different creatures. He coughs occasionally but is starting to feel more better. He wonders where Flower has got too lately.

*passes the ferrets and bursts out laughing*

[Remus Lupin]

[hahahahhaha....]

Remus smiles questioningly at her. "Ferrets?"

[i don't think Remus knows about that yet actually...]

*giggles*
Don't worry about it honey, all you need to know is "Malfoy the amazing bouncing ferret". Good memories...

-An orange cat runs through the store knocking over Remus-

He laughs trying not to imagine that. "Alright..." He gets knocked over by a cat. "Oi! What in the world..."

[bahaha Crookshanks' ghost! - I decided Crookshanks got run over by a truck....]

*helps Remus up*

You ok, honey?

[Remus Lupin]

He stands, "Yeah...that was strange."

[Molly Prewett]

Hmmm.... that little guy reminded me of Crookshanks...

*goes over to the corner the cat had curled up in and bends down to pet her - she purrs loudly*

Oooh she's friendly!

[lol I just realised how much fun it would be for Hermione to buy a cat that absolutely HATES Remus ]

[Remus Lupin]

[hahahahahaha that would be hilarious. DO IT.]

He smiles watching and walks over to join her. "She does seem friendly..."

-The cat jumps on Remus and starts clawing at him when Hermione's back is turned-

*the cat hisses as Remus approaches, and Hermione gives him a slightly reproachful look before continuing to pat the cat, who, despite being the exact ginger colouring of Crookshanks, had a much cuter, much less flat, face*

You startled her! It's alright, girl, I've got you. He won't hurt you

*she picks the cat up and continues to pet and cuddle her, then grins over the mess of fur at Remus*

I think I've found what I want... what do you think? Isn't she lovely?

[Remus Lupin]

He sighs figuring that things were going to get rather crazy since the cat didn't like him but if Hermione liked her so much he wouldn't complain. "Sounds good love. She's adorable."

[Molly Prewett]

*The cat swipes a paw out at Remus, but Hermione doesn't notice, she's too busy cooing at her and scratching behind her ears. she carries her over to the counter and presses the buzzer to call the shop keeper over. While she's waiting, she gives Remus a brilliant smile.*

I never thought I'd want another cat, after Crookshanks, not for a long while anyway. But she's just so sweet-tempered that I can't resist her!

[Remus Lupin]

[IF THAT CAT TOUCHES FLOWER I'M GOING TO STRANGLE IT...just saying.]

He smiles back, "I'm glad you're happy love. I'm going to head outside, it's sort of stuffy in here." He coughs and leaves, also glad to be away from the cat.

[*is evil*]

*She pouts a bit because Remus didn't show much interest in the cat, who is the most beautiful, sweet thing she's ever seen, then turns to finish the transaction. She summons the old cat carrier she'd bought to Hogwarts out of habit, purchases enough food to last her until the next Hogsmeade weekend, and shrinks the package, putting it in her pocket. She pays, eases the cat into the carrier, and heads out, looking for Remus.*
