Penny walked up to her dorm room, intent on taking a shower to wash away the days' events. she was so confused. she walked up to her bed, and noticed a piece of paper sitting on it. she picked it up and read the note. she intook a sharp breath and covered her mouth with one hand, sitting down on her bed. tears sprang to her eyes. i can't believe he just...left...he didn't even...didn't say goodbye! I thought...I thought he wanted to be...I don't know. i know i've treated him horribly and i don't deserve him...but I can't believe he's just...gone... All thoughts of a shower erased from her mind, she curled up on her bed and cried.

Penny sat up after a while and wiped her cheeks dry from the tears, even though she could feel fresh tears coming. she grabbed a sheet of parchment and began to write. she sent the letter off with the owl that was still around and curled back up on her bed.

Penny,

I have no idea how to respond to you. I love you? I think... I know we were supposed to go to prom together but when I saw you with Cormac today I just had to get away. I couldn't stay there anymore. I don't want to hurt you, I really don't Penny and I'm sorry if I did. I want to be with you I really do but I just don't know if I can beleive you when you say you want to be with me. As much as I want to I just can't. I really just don't know what to do Penny.... I'm sorry...

Penny jolted up when she saw the owl. she hadn't expected a response so soon. she tore open the note and read it, her heart sinking into her stomach. so he thought he loved her, but he couldn't believe her? she grabbed another sheet of paper from her trunk and scribbled a response, sending it off with the owl

Penny's head shot up at the voice in the room. she stared wide-eyed for a moment and then bolted off the bed and ran to him, wrapping her arms around his torso
