Colin looks up. "Hi," he says, jumping to his feet. "I'm Colin, who are you?"

"I'm Gabrielle. What 'ouse are you een?" She sits down close to the lake.

"Me too! I just transferred 'ere from Beauxbatons. I 'aven't met many people yet."

"Great! Have you heard there's a cheerleading squad? I'm thinking of trying out. Oh wow! Beauxbatons! That must be AMAZING, I love France. Except I've never been there..." He pauses. "I haven't met very many people yet either, I just got my letter a few weeks ago."

"Yes! My seester started eet. I theenk you would make a very good cheerleader, Colin." She smiles at his babble, hoping they can be friends. "France is very nice. I only just convinced my parents to let me transfer!"

"Oh wow, do you really? Thanks! Who's your sister?" He pauses to take a breath. "What made you want to transfer? Just wondering, I don't want to be nosy..." He trails off, worrying that he was annoying people again.

"Fleur. She transferred a few months ago. And I don't know. Just wanted to get away from Beauxbatons, I guess. Eet was kind of boring." She grins. "Eet's okay. I am nosy too. Shh!"

"Oh! I think I've heard of her. I'm not sure, though. Is she in Gryffindor too? I can't ever tell. Most of the times they are, but I found out that the Patil twins - TWINS - are in separate houses. How twisted is that?" Colin laughs. "Good!"

"She's a Gryffindor too! And zat is so weird. You would theenk twins would be similar!"

"Oh, good. Sorry! You said she'd started the cheerleading squad!" He slammed his fist to his forehead. "I forget things sometimes. You would, wouldn't you? It's weird, but... maybe they're fraternal."

"Eet is alright. Eet happens." She laughs. "I theenk I 'ave seen zem and zey look identical."

"I haven't met them yet, so I don't know," he responds, smiling a little.

[I asked Pansy to make one. I tried but it wasn't pretty, so we should get it sometime Sunday. She's going to be gone for a bit.]

"Yes, zat is fine. Most people call me Gabby, but I like Elle." She smiles, glad to have a friend. "Do you 'ave any siblings 'ere?"

Lee wandered down to the lake and saw one of his roommates talking to a blonde girl... a second year maybe...

"Colin! Hey, what's up?"

"Great - Elle! Yeah, I have a younger brother, Dennis," he responds. "He's helping me make the yearbook. Don't worry, he's in Gryffindor too!" Colin looks up at Lee. "Hey Lee! Nothing much, you?"

"Zat's cool. I would love to meet 'im." She turns to the black dude. Black dudes are cool. "'Ello, I'm Gabrielle."

"Just coming out here to enjoy the weather" He grinned down at Gabby and sat down next to her "I'm Lee, nice to meet you"

"Yeah! I'll introduce you sometime!" Colin exclaims enthusiastically. He liked Elle, she was nice. "Yeah," he said to Lee, "it's really nice. I've finished all my homework too!"
[Am I the only one who thinks that Colin/Elle should be an item? ]
