Severus buried his face in his hands, not wanting to look at her. "It's not right, Cissa. It's not right. He tells her she's beautiful, and she falls for him. I've said it a thousand time over the years, and it never made one damn bit of difference," he said quietly, not wanting to be overheard. "She hardly knows him, and she's trusting him so much. I can't bear the thought of her getting hurt again, not so soon after last time," he continued, peeking out from between his fingers.

Djinn felt a bit sad for Severus, and when Sev buried his head in his hands he got an idea. "OMG!! MAKEOVER!!!!" Summoning his Shadow, he had it bring him shampoo and conditioner and, still straddling Sev, started to wash his hair. "NOW FOR THE BRAIDS!!" and pulling out horribly bright pink ribbons he braided his hair.

Cissy chuckled, almost bitterly. "See, that's the thing about us girls. We seem to fall for anyone who calls us beautiful, or compliments us." she crouched down to look at Severus at eye level and grabbed his hands. "Listen to me, Severus; Just because some big, flashy Quidditch player is waltzing his way into her life... it doesn't mean anything. I mean, sometimes, when something really cool enters your life, you overlook all the really important things you loved before. And, she'll realize what she's missing, after time. What about that saying; 'If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, its yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never meant to be'? Maybe that's what you need to do; let her go and allow her some freedom for a little while."

But that's playing a little dirty." she sat thoughtfully. "And, I hate to go and give you love advice if you aren't looking for it, but sometimes the easiest way to get out of the 'friend zone' is just to flat out tell her; while she is, of course, single. You know, no flirting, no subtle messages," she looked at him. "Just, flat out."
