Lily paused, a bit worried, then let a slight smile stay on her face. "Sev...you're still hurt...and your date....but if you're sure...alright." She moved a step closer to him, beginning to move to the music.

[Fleur, at some point, can you introduce Teddy to Lily? This next week, she's making friends. I'm determined. >_> Maybe she can meet Cedric too? Lily seriously has so few friends. O.o ]

"She won't mind," he replied, taking her in his arms and attempting to not make a complete arse out of himself. "Really, though? Nobody asked you to dance?" he asked in disbelief. "I refuse to believe that's possible, because Lily Evans, you've never looked so marvelous." His gaze flickers over to Narcissa over Lily's shoulder, and he shoots her a grateful smile.

Narcissa turned around with three drinks balanced delicately in her hands, until she saw Severus and Lily dancing. Her smile faltered and she met Severus's gaze and smiled again, shooting him an awkward thumbs up and mouthing 'I'll put these over there,' while she walked to the table they had sat at before and put the NON-ALCOHOLIC BECAUSE CISSY CAN'T HANDLE ANYTHING ELSE drinks down. She slumped a bit as she sat at the table, honestly happy for Severus and Lily, but a little bummed out at being the third wheel. She took a deep breath, smiled a bit shakily and took a sip of her drink. 'It's for the best, right?'

He smiled widely at her "Thanks" He continued to look at her. He stopped dancing and grabbed her hand that was holding his face. He looked down at their hands then back up at her and smiled again, blushing slightly.

Lily looked down, trying in vain to hide her blush and smile. "Flatterer. You're my best friend...biased. " She put her arms lightly around him and looked into his eyes. She was careful to move a couple beats slower than the music, she didn't want him to overexert himself while he was still hurt.

Too soon, she noticed Narcissa going to sit down, and stepped away from Sev. "I'm not so sure your date minds. She's stuck sitting out...she's the one you should be dancing with, i'll find someone who I won't be the person stealing the evening for. " She smiled softly, patting his shoulder and walked over to Narcissa. "Sorry, Cissa. He asked me to dance...you're the one he should be dancing with. Go on, i'll watch the drinks. Alcoholic, or not? " To prove her point, she sat down on a seat beside Narcissa's, her smile faded but determined. I won't steal Sev's night, i'll get to dance with him some other time, probably anyway.

[Btw, Sev, you're icon...haha...Sev's SUCH a party person. ALWAYS. FOREVER. A.K.A. NEVER. Except on here, sort of. Razz

..also..i'm having fun with this, although poor Sev.]
