Re: The Fireplace
Scorpius notes her refusal to look at him. "I really am sorry," he mumbles. "And your feelings on the situation do matter to me."

Re: The Fireplace
"well maybe you should have thought of that before you go around telling people you were thinking of another girl while shagging someone else!" she spit out her words, not meaning to. she softened slightly, still looking at the ground. "No girl wants to hear that. ever. no matter how much of a tease she is."

Re: The Fireplace
"I know," he says sighing and then running a hand through his hair. "It was unbelievably selfish of me to say that at that time. Actually," he corrects himself, "It was unbelievably selfish of me to even think that in the first place. I never should have used you."

Re: The Fireplace
"No you shouldn't have...whatever. it's what i get for being who i am. i should be used to it." the last part was even softer, she still stared fixedly at the ground. she didn't like admitting her insecurites to people. especially the people who made her feel insecure in the first place

Re: The Fireplace
"No Penny," Scorpius immediately disagrees. "Nobody deserves that, especially not you. You're a very nice girl, when you aren't mad at me, and you are incredibly kind, friendly, and patient."

Re: The Fireplace
"I've seen you with other people," he answers. "And I"m pretty good with being able to read people, though not in a creepy Seer way."

"Well...thanks..." she didn't really know what else to say. she could feel most of her anger slipping away.

"You're welcome," he mumbles. "I should probably head up to my dorm, it is rather late," he says while standing up.

"Good night Penny," he says, watching as she heads up. He waits a moment before heading up to his own dorm.

Re: The Fireplace
Pansy came down from her dormitory and curled up to sit on the couch. Well, that's over with now. Draco and I are over, done, and he'll probably never speak to me again. At least we've done something about it, and we had to talk again anyway. Did I really expect it to end any differently? And of course he's left the castle to go home. Why wouldn't he? Run home to mummy and dad. She wrapped her arms around her knees and flicked her wand at the fireplace, livening the coals back up into flames, smiling a bit at its warmth.
Re: The Fireplace
Reg wanders downstairs and takes a seat on a couch across from the one that was already occupied. "Hey," he said, remembering meeting her in the past. "Morning."

Re: The Fireplace
Pansy glanced away from the fire as someone spoke to her, seeing the younger Black brother sitting across from her. "Morning," she replied, glancing back to the flames, watching them reach and twist higher and higher, spiraling. What was his name again? Something with an R... She pondered, trying to remember.
Re: The Fireplace
"What're you doing up this early?" he asked, surprised that anyone else was here at this time. Normally the common room was still empty by the time he left for the pitch.

Re: The Fireplace
"Couldn't sleep." She shrugged. "Plus, it's kind of nice to be in this room while it's quiet for once." The common room had been far too crowded for her liking recently. She used to be able to enjoy its silence often, but there always seemed to be people in here lately. "What about you? Not many early-risers in Slytherin."
Re: The Fireplace
"I'm always up early. Quidditch pitch is always empty," he said. And I'm always hoping Krum will be there. "But yeah. I tend to avoid this place these days," he said, realizing the last time he'd spent much time in here was the day he and Cormac had gotten into their first fight.

Re: The Fireplace
"Same. It used to be relaxing. Now just being in here during the day stresses me out. You play Quidditch? What position?" She tugged her sleeves down to keep in the warmth, having forgotten just how chilly the common room was in the earlier mornings, before the masses of bodies breathing too much hot air warmed it up. She flicked her wand toward the fire again, scrounging up a bit more heat from the tired coals. The house elves would have to be by soon to replenish it.
Re: The Fireplace
"Seeker," he said proudly, pulling out the snitch from his pocket. "Was going to head down to the pitch soon," he added.

Re: The Fireplace
She smiled. Seeker, the position Draco had wanted, that apparently his daddy didn't actually buy for him for once. "Nice," she said appreciatively. "You must be pretty good, I suppose?" She asked him, wondering how he'd have gotten the position despite the Malfoy's influence and money at this school. He must have been good for Draco to not have that position. He always got everything he wanted. Well, Seeker could be added to his list of things he's lost. Right after me, I suppose.
Re: The Fireplace
"Good would be quite the understatement," he replied, feeling cocky and doing the obnoxious hair flip that he really should not have picked up from Sirius, but unfortunately has. "A few more days of training with him and I'm fairly convinced I'll have Viktor Krum beat," he said with a chuckle, making a mental note to tease him about it later.
