Finishing it was almost as gut-wrenching in its finality as finishing DH for the first time was. Actually, maybe even more. This'll definitely be another series I read multiple times.... -loved it so so so so so much-

Here. I can sum up a few of my thoughts in some math equations

Faramir+Eowyn = win
Legolas+Gimli = The bestest best friends ever to be bestest best friends who are the best
Merry+Pippin = Even bester best friendly best friends
(Legolas+Gimli)+(Merry+Pippin) = Best part of the books
Movies = surprisingly accurate
Frodo+Sam > everyone else's interestingness
Arwen = most annoying person in the movies, less annoying in the books because she barely shows up
Aragorn = Whatever dude
Eowyn = OMFG -dies of happy because Eowyn is amazing-

I almost cried of happy at a few parts. Like when Sam planted the seed Galadriel gave him and it turned out to be a mellon tree. That made me so so happy for some reason.

I have finally finished the Fellowship and am WAYYY into the two towers, which so far is WAYYYYY better.

Eowyn, now I totally get how Aragorn is so different! He is all "I AM THE FREAKING KING BITCH!" In the book, which is opposite in movies. I prefer him in the movies really Smile

I TOLD YOU TWO TOWERS WAS SO MUCH BETTER. I'TS STILL MY FAVORITE, even if my favorite chapter is in ROTK.

I like him in the books better. He's less emo-tragic-hero and a lot more GET OFF OF MY CROWN BITCH. I like his confidence.

I think I only like it the other way round because I am such a fan of the movies.

You are going to hate me for this but I just thing the Characters are very samey in the books, they are all so similar and happy go lucky in the first book, where as I feel they have more personality in the films. But I am impressed how closely Peter Jackson has followed it so far. I often read alot of the lines in the voices of the actors.

I LOVEEEE LEGOLAS AND GIMLI SOOOO MUCH! They are amazing together.

I agree, the first book shows them a lot more bland and flavorless, while PJ totally gave them more personality. I really love the movies even if they made huge changes to Aragorn, Eowyn, and Faramir especially.

LEGOLAS AND GIMLI HAVE THE BEST BROMANCE EVER OH MY GOD.
ONE DAY I WILL HAVE A BROMANCE LIKE THEM <3

Thank god you agree there as obviously I have only read them once, and not yet finished. I am so glad I did though. The movies make soooo much more sense now when I am watching them and I actually understand why things are happening and not just because its how the movie goes!
