"You want to be friends?" he asks glancing at her hopefully. He wonders though if he will be able to only be friends, and not think of wanting to snog her. He remembers how his friendship with Hermione had spiraled out of control, because he was unable to keep his feelings and jealousy in check.

Ron feels his cheeks turn slightly pink as she pokes his arm. Damn Weasley genes, he thinks to himself. "Well you're awfully nice as well, and I think you deserve more friends. I could definitely see a relationship forming between us. A friendship relationship!" he adds quickly. "Not that I wouldn't like a relationship relationship! I mean, but we'd be friends, yeah? Friends is good," he says, his ears bright red.

"You do?" he asks confused at her mentioning that she likes redheads. He blushes slightly again when she ruffles his hair. "Well, I like quidditch too, but I'm not good idea to be on the school team. I really like playing Wizards Chess, and I'm pretty good at that. Then I have five older brothers and one younger sister."
