I can't believe I'm actually panicking over something that's three years away! I know you won't let anything happen, I know the cub would be safer with you than anyone learning to fly, but I have this ridiculous urge to run away to the mountains and build a fortress of solitude so that nothing can ever get in to hurt him.... It's crazy...

How can you say that? I would never let anyone else teach my cub quidditch! Of course I'll let you.... it's just.... you might have to slip me a Calming Draught or ten beforehand....

*Hermione pales, she drops her apple and her hands fly to her stomach. Her head shakes rapidly and if she could balance while doing so, she'd probably be crossing her legs.*

Oh, no. No, no, no, no. I've changed my mind. I don't care that my back hurts and I can't see my feet anymore and my ankles feel like they're the size of quaffles - the cub is staying right where he is!

Regulus walks out to the trees before going to see Viktor. He plucks an apple off the tree and slides to the ground, smiling to himself. As Eowyn's posted a lot today, he looks deathly pale and very skinny, with a hollow, gaunt face- but he is happy.

Cormac ran out to the apple trees. He needed a nice place to think. The trees had a nice glow around them. Cormac looked around and found Reg. He had been missing quidditch practice lately. Cormac ran up to him to inquire why.

Regulus freezes. Shit- quidditch. He'd only missed a few, right? I mean, just the one yesterday because he was ill, and the few days before that, when he'd been fighting with Viktor... and maybe a few last week, when he'd forgotten, because he was high, or about to get high, and that time- oh, crap. "Er- um- I forgot?" he said, sounding stupid and feeling idiotic.

Regulus bit his tongue, and debated whether using Viktor as an excuse would be worth having to think up another more plausible one. "A few times," he admitted, blushing. "But it's more- I've been sick, lately," he said, and he does looks sick enough.
