Fabian removed his fingers from his ears, carefully. "Oh. Alright then..." he said quietly. "That's not nice, though. Playing with people," he smirked and lightly shoved Regulus as he passed him to pick an apple. "And, for the record," he said, looking for an apple to pick. "I'm totally straight."

Fabian picked the reddest apple he could find and glared down at Regulus. "Ha ha ha," he said, dryly. "Very funny. But, I tell you I'm not gay." he said, and, as if proving his point, took a big bite of the apple. THAT would show Regulus. "I don't know why people think that. I mean, have you ever gotten a random awkward mental image? It's uncontrollable. And I am the straightest man I know." he sniffed, indignant.

Regulus tried not to laugh again but does anyway. "Well, sure, anyone's straight compared to me. I'm about as much of a poofter as you can get. Not so bad, you know, after you finally figure out that denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Just saying," he said with a smile, but not a mocking one this time. "You've got apple stuck in your teeth, by the way."

Fabian looked at Regulus quizzically. Denial isn't a river in Egypt... "ARE YOU SAYING I'M IN DENIAL?!" he asked, almost falling over. He sputtered, "I'm sorry, Regulus, but... but... I'm NOT in the CLOSET!" he flipped his hair. "I am soo not the gay type," he said, picking the apple piece out of his teeth.

Regulus chuckled. "A tragedy, having to deal with that pretty blonde hair of yours, I'm sure," he said with a smile, which falters at his next question. "I... it's complicated," he said, not really wanting to have to explain about his family and friends, and the majority of the reactions he'd received. "It hasn't really gone well in the past, with some... some of the people who found out. Not all of them, though. I still have some friends who know, and don't hate me," he said, trying to remind himself of that fact.

Fabian nodded. "Yeah. Figured it must've been complicated. Otherwise, a genius like you would've already figured it out." he smirked, teasingly. Upon hearing Reg's reasons for it being complicated, Fabian went into Serious!Fabian mode and leaned in a bit. "I'm sorry to hear that. But, I'm glad that you have so many people who care about you. ~~You know, I bet you could tell your family. Or at least Narcissa. That girl would like to hear what you have to say BECAUSE YOU DON'T OPEN UP TO HER.~~ You know, I could kick someone's ass for you. Anyone's really." Fabian said. It was strange, but, even though Reg had done nothing but tease him, he was serious about his offer.

Regulus grinned. "But I am a nice guy, I just think it's fun fuckin' with you. Er, that sounded bad, didn't it? Dammit. I told you I was awkward, see? Awkward turtles!
