she walked over to where Marcus was and placed her hands on his shoulders, looking him right in the eyes "No. it's not. that stupid spell fucked it all up. and if it weren't for you, i'd be an emotional mess right now. so...thank you."

What he really wanted to say was so are you going to prom with me or not but he didn't want to pressure her with that. He tapped the couch next to him and said. "You can sit if you want."

Marcus was somewhat surprised but also happy that she was so cuddly. He put his arm around her shoulder, keeping her close. "Much better" He said slightly smiling.
